go and check names of those behind this project, they are igbos, buhari aint building shyte, we are only reaping the gains of GEJ's unbundling of PHCN so that ppl can invest in it. Railways, Highways, airports, seaports etc should follow suit. we can do it on our own |
this govt can lie |
whether he is a cyberstalker or not is of little importance, the main thing is why was he arrested only when he published anti govt article, just like Saraki was a saint until he beat the APC machinery to clinch SP post |
is that why some yorubas call him him Olusegun Onyejekwe Obasanjo? I was confused when i heard it |
They are all using Lagos to console themselves |
see them shouting Lagos, why not Osun? Lagos is killing nigeria with govt backed monopolistic advantage |
abo.kis |
same with Onitsha inland port |
Pprovost:So how many times was Buhari appointed since he left office 30 years ago ? |
LOL, OP saw the future |
Upper Iweka interchange, from den of robber to a beautiful garden
|
this place is officially called Nomansland and accepted as such by the state govt yet the hausas dont give a hoot. but yorubas will run their mouth when we call our former FCT nomansland?? |
LIES!!! they defended themselves against herdsmen and the herdsmen went and brought army to massacre them but the army met their match and were slaughtered. some well know fulanis were seen wearing army uniforms among the army killed |
FACTS: the villagers actually stockpiled arms the arms are for self defence because of the first attack fulanis bribed the soldiers when they noticed they cant the win the villages in a shootout soilders invaded in the night and started killing from house to house when the villagers mobilised and retaliated almost ten soldiers were killed and some fulani herders were noticed to be among them in army uniforms two soldiers are missing, they were said to have been "kidnapped" with juju by one babalawo in the area Today, a low flying helicopter was seen patrolling around NECO national headquaters. Later there was serious shooting in Kpankungu, a densely populated slum close to the affected village CONCLUSION most so called Fulani attack are actually carried out by soldiers If the villagers did not arm themselves and kill these soldiers the news everywhere will be that the fulani attacked This attack has exposed the brain behind ENUGU massacre, it was actually the Nigerian army backing the Fulanis |
Is Wike tired of wearing Ijaw round hat?? Amaechi is already tired of it too but invented his own cap to avoid appearing igbo. Ikwerres and their confusion, nobody had the power to decide his ethnic group by himself, FG creates new states and can never create new ethnic group, they should get it into their skull |
Reminez:You see how untravelled you are, see how you expose your ignorance about nigerian geography. what has someone traveling from Biafra to Nomansland has to do with Ibadan?? Do you leave your rusted roof enclave at all?? If you had been travelling maybe you have made some money to change your roof and also see how good other places are and stop living delusional life about how your place is paradise because adventurous ppl come to take opportunities you are too bind to see |
ordinary to change their roof they can't do, but are quick to claim the achievements of hardworking nigerians living in Nomansland in the name SW. How does someone who live in these mud house own Nomansland more than those who built good houses therein?? it still baffles me |
FanYogo1:you all like living a foools paradise. a very typical yoruba state is oyo state. don't even think of nomansland or using data contributed by non yorubas living there to decieve yourself. |
LOl, yorubas are jokers. Lagos has nothing but government backed monopoly. Lagos monopoly is actually a threat to yorubaland itself. Igbos, being highly mobile do not give a fvck about your tantrums, we will continue the economic invasion of Lagos and other places getting unfair advantage from the skewed system, take our share and repatriate home. If you are angry just declare your sovereignty, lets separate and see who will progress more. |
The real story: After the attack by fulani on a village in Niger state last month https://www.nairaland.com/3220184/fulani-herdsmen-attack-beji-niger the Gwari ethnic group armed themselves, when fulani tried again and lost the battle they brought the Nigerian army to do the killing for them. |
No fewer than five persons were feared killed and two others injured when some soldiers clashed with some villagers at Kpaidna village in the Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State in the early hours of Thursday. Also four vehicles belonging to the Nigerian Army were burnt and destroyed in the milieu. The two injured people were said to be soldiers while the identities of the deceased were yet to be known as of press time. Our correspondent gathered that a combined team of soldiers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force were in the village on an official operation when the clash occurred. The military team was reported to have been in the village in search of arms and ammunition which intelligence reports indicated were hidden in some houses in the village. Our correspondent learnt that the villagers mistook the soldiers for armed Fulani herdsmen and therefore attacked them leading to the death of the five people and injury of the two others. The Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, when contacted, confirmed the incident saying, “It was purely a military operation. We were not involved in it.” Elkana said one of the two soldiers injured was placed on admission at the Police Clinic while the other was receiving treatment at the Minna General Hospital. He, however, said no civilian casualty was recorded. The police spokesman declined to confirm the identities of those killed preferring to direct our correspondent to the army. When contacted, the Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Major Njideka Agwu, also confirmed the incident. “We heard that there were arms and ammunition in that village and we went for cordon and search. Unfortunately the villagers opened fire on us. We don’t know the number of casualty as of now because the information is sketchy.” Agwu added, “Both troops and field commanders are still at the location and investigation is in progress.” Our correspondent learnt that some of the villagers had fled from Kpaidna for fear that soldiers could return for reprisal. Many of the villagers with luggage on their heads were seen at Gidan Kwanu, some 60 kilometres from the place the incident happened, in search of a safe haven. http://punchng.com/five-die-soldiers-villagers-clash-niger/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
There was pandemonium on Tuesday and Wednesday in the Ogijo area of Ogun State after some gunmen opened fire on residents, killing no fewer than four people. PUNCH Metro learnt that among the dead was a man who had gone to buy petrol at an MRS filling station and a woman who sold herbs by the roadside. A boy hawking foodstuffs was also reportedly hit by a stray bullet during the mayhem which lasted for about 30 minutes. Our correspondents gathered that the gunmen, who were suspected to be members of the Aye Confraternity, arrived at the community around 8.30pm on Tuesday. They were said to have started shooting sporadically at the Ogijo bus stop, during which many passers-by were injured. Residents lamented that despite the closeness of the Ogijo Police Division to the scene of the incident, the police went into hiding and only came out 30 minutes after the gang had left to remove the corpses of the victims. When one of our correspondents got to the area on Wednesday, he observed that the community had been deserted as many commercial buses avoided taking the route. Around 1pm, while PUNCH Metro was gathering this report, there was panic as sporadic gunshots rent the air, with everyone running helter-skelter. A resident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said trouble started around 8.30pm when the six-man gang entered the community. He said, “I observed that they were six guys and were on two motorcycles; some of them wore masks. When they got to Ogijo bus stop, they halted. Nobody suspected anything until they started shooting in all directions. There was confusion everywhere. The gang moved to the MRS filling station and shot the man point-blank. He died on the spot. “They then moved to Market Road where they opened fire on people in a pub. Four Igbo traders sustained gunshot injuries there. A woman, identified as Shade, who sold herbs was also injured and she was rushed to a hospital where she died this morning. A boy selling on the road was shot in the head. At least, four people died between last night and this morning (Wednesday).” A source at the filling station told our correspondent that the deceased was a customer, adding that he could not tell why he was a target of the cult members. The victim’s jerrycan and slippers were still at the station when PUNCH Metro visited. “He was about buying fuel when they entered into the filling station and shot him dead. He was the only one shot here. The police came to carry his corpse 30 minutes afterwards,” the source said. PUNCH Metro gathered that other injured victims were rushed to two private hospitals in the community – Victory Clinic and Maternity Centre, Ogijo; and Oladayo Medical Centre, Ogiji Remo. One of our correspondents was prevented from entering Victory Clinic, as security officials at the centre said they had been instructed to keep the press away. A worker at the second medical centre said family members of the two victims rushed to the centre had taken them away. “They said they will be taking them to traditional healing homes to treat their bullet wounds,” the worker, who did not want to be named, said. A source told one of our correspondents that members of the Aye Confraternity were behind the attack, adding that they were preparing to celebrate a cult festival known as 8/8. He said, “This is not the first time they will be doing this. They said because they were not allowed to celebrate 7/7 with a lot of killing, there will be more bloodshed come August 8, when they will be marking 8/8.” Another source explained that the Tuesday attack was targeted at members of the Eiye Confraternity, a rival group. He, however, said most of the casualties were innocent residents. A resident of Ogijo lamented that throughout the period of the shootings, the policemen hid in their station. “They cannot say they didn’t hear the gunshots because their station is beside the filling station. They just decided to let those criminals kill as many people as they wished. It is sad that we don’t have security in this community and our policemen are only good at collecting money from motorcycle riders and extorting motorists,” he said. A landlady, who did not identify herself, said she was leaving the community till peace was restored. The acting Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police had a record of two deaths. He said, “It was a clash between rival cult members and before the police from the Ogijo division could respond, two people had been killed. We have increased security in the area and normalcy has been restored. Everybody is going about their normal business without any fear now.” http://punchng.com/police-take-cover-gunmen-kill-four-ogun-residents/ |
Many communities affected by Niger Delta militants’ attacks have become desolate, as home owners and other residents have fled their homes for safety in other locations. Many residents remain unconvinced that the presence of the soldiers is a guarantee of adequate security. A woman, Alhaja Sekinat, who fled her home in Igbo-Olomu, one of the affected communities, told SaharaReporters that she may never return to the community. “God, who provided those properties I left behind, will provide other ones. Once there is life, there is hope. I can build more houses if I am alive, but that will not be possible if I allow myself to get killed,” she said philosophically. According to her, she decided to flee her neighbourhood when, one morning, she woke up to see a black SUV parked in front of her house, with the man in the driver’s seat killed. It became clear to her that the cause of the man’s death was not robbery, as his assailants left behind a huge sum of money on the car’s dashboard. The experience spooked her. “I just went back into my house, picked few clothes and left the house. I have not gone back since then and might not go back again” she said. Many residents of the affected communities are of the same persuasion as Alhaja Sekinat. When SaharaReporters visited the area on 3 August, it was confronted with thorough desolation. Aside from the heavy presence of the military personnel and other security operatives, the communities were ghost towns. Shops, homes, worship and recreational centres were shut. At Isawo, residents said the Abundant Mercy Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been under lock and key since its pastor was kidnapped. The pastor has since been released and is on admission at a hospital, but the church remains shut. At Ogunse, one of the areas visited by SaharaReporters, Alhaji Abdul Jamiu Olarenwaju, Chief Imam of Ibadullahi Central Mosque, disclosed that many residents have deserted their homes. He explained that the few who remain are those without alternatives. Olanrewaju lamented that the situation has personally affected him as the Arabic school, which he runs, has had to be closed. “Many of my students have left the community with their parents to other areas. Some have even left the state,” he said. Homes around the creeks in the area have been destroyed. One of the Army commanders deployed to the area told SaharaReporters that it was the military who advised those who reside around the creeks to flee their homes in order to avoid being hit during combat with the militants. A landlord and business owner in Elepete, who identified himself as Olayinka, also lamented the disruption the militants have brought on his business and life in general. “I cannot stay in my house and cannot do my business. No money for feeding; we are just running around trying to save our heads,” he said regretfully. Olayinka, accompanied by two of his friends, was in the community to see if he could return. However, the emptiness of the streets suggested otherwise. One of his friends kept telling them to hurry up so they could leave the area despite the presence of heavily armed military men. Bolaji Muhammed, a resident at Ogunse, blamed some residents for the fate that befell the communities, saying some of them encouraged the militants by buying stolen kerosene and petrol from them. Another resident, who refused to give his name, expressed a similar view. “When I came in here in 2004, there was a day my wife said she bought kerosene at cheap rate. When I asked where she got it from, she said it was scooped from somewhere. I said I hope it was not through. She said it wasn’t but only saw that people were buying and she bought. The following week, we found out that people are scooping kerosene with foam, though discreetly,” he said. Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has promised to ensure that militants and vandals in the communities are flushed out. Ambode, who assured Lagosians of their safety, also explained that the military offensive against the militants is yielding positive results. However, residents of the affected areas appear not fully convinced, as they have continued to maintain a safe distance from their homes. http://saharareporters.com/2016/08/04/militants%E2%80%99-attacks-communities-around-ikorodu-remain-deserted |
Enugu state has shifted attention to Nsukka, its second largest town since Enugu city has been fixed |
HtwoOw:and which competent authority produced the list?? |
Imo, the weak link in SE |
people did'nt even read the write up. the man was killed by SARS and not by hausas, when incidents like this happen in the east the officer or his accomplice is usually lynched by angry mob. it happened in Aba and Nsukka recently, we don't joke with human life. |
anybody comparing this with what Lagos state govt did is a dunce. An alternative market market was built and made affordable, enough time was given too |
modath:you are even talking about Lagos port, another gross injustice to the eastern coastal areas. port is not a natural resource but an FG infrastructure that can be replicated anywhere along the coastline but FG are only interested in lifting oil in the eastern ports while making Lagos the only profitable port for consumer goods |
but Europe was continuously balkanized till the 90's. Noting sacrosanct about Nigerian unity |
