In my opinion, a woman who stays away from the matrimonial bed for at least 6 days is having "extra curricular activities".

The challenge can be analysed this way:-

(1) Both are women.
Literate or not, they eventually will act same way in the end.

(2) The school certificate lady looks like a good candidate in the interim but after being upgraded she'll start seeing your flaws or looking for attributes that are missing in you.

(3) The graduate may be efficient as a helper now with a job and can help with educating your kids.
They are however lazy, you'll end up doing all the chores.

I have just made up my mind about paid employment.
I've decided to quit my job of 7 years and start up something. Anything!
I want to be in the league of those who have stopped saying ''Yes Sir'' to other people!
those who make a living from doing their thing whichever way they deem fit.
Take decisions by themselves, whenever and however they deem necessary.
Who work hard, work smart, work late and do anything that translates to money making and business expansion.

I have wondered if the last 7 years of my life would have been better if all the hours i'd put into my work had been put into my personal business.
Would i have been better for it?
Would i be worse off?
The answer lies in what i did with my time.
I have therefore decided that the next 7 years will be spent building a world for me whichever way it turns out.
The only snag is that, i don't know what i'd be doing.

Please nairalanders, i need help with ideas on the way forward.

OP, advise your friend never to send such a letter to his FIL. Never. He comes off a whiner. Why complain to another man on how to handle his household. It is almost as if he was doing the bidding of his FIL during the marriage rites and during his short marriage span, which reeks of weakness. Why would you allow a FIL to decide how much you should spend on a wedding? If the FIL wants a bigger wedding, then he should spend his own money on the things he wants to see during the wedding. I believe we should respect our parents and parents-in-law, but when it comes to things that will jeopardize unity of the nuclear family, a line has to be drawn. Then, and only then will they give you your due respect. Forget complaining to your FIL and focus more on your wife. Be the man of your household for Chrissake!

His Sister only just got married a week before, she was only on a 'thank you' visit.

A glance through the letter got me wondering.

It’s the last few days of another year and I’m forced to open up to you at last after my few years of silence.
The truth is that i didn’t think marriage would make me wish for bachelorhood after having a feel of it but it has.
I’ve continued to envy my single peers like my life depends on it since day one.

I never imagined it’ll be like this not with the many cross roads I’ve been in every single day and it’s all because of the mess you put me into.
