My 1996 Toyota Camry is no longer fuel efficient. The car uses far more fuel than a plane. It consumes 20 liters on the average for a 20km drive (Egbeda to Ikeja Airport) on a daily basis not minding the traffic. That’s about 1 liter per kilometer. Just last week my car consumed about 100 liters of fuel for just office to home trips alone, a total mileage of 77 kilometers. • I’ve serviced the engine • I’ve changed plugs • I recently serviced the Injector …and changed the injector nozzle A V6 doesn’t consume as much fuel. Please kindly help with solution to save my monthly budget A stitch in time they say saves nine. ![]() |
I need a 2(Two) bedroom flat in a serene part of Egbeda, Ogba, Agege or Shasha and environs that has easy accessibility to Ikeja. Contact with pipe borne water, stable electricity (With pre-paid meter) is paramount. Any helpful information will be highly appreciated. |
My house rent will soon be due. It’s my fifth year in the house and I’m considering moving into a bigger apartment with my family. That option will cost me at least N350, 000 per annum. I also have the option of buying a plot of land with the same amount and developing it with time. I’ll then build two bedrooms while I develop the rest of the building at my own pace. That way, my family and I may not live comfortably in the short run. What do you think? Would it make some sense to sacrifice our comforts for now and benefit from the spoils of the struggle or continue to ensure a comfort for my family by entering into a tenancy agreement with all the landlords in Lagos from time to time? Mind you I have other commitments like school fees, vehicle running costs and feeding expenses. |
Whats the last price? |

dagboss:@ dagboss: You bet it's brand new. Just like the PAN that goes for 3M. You need to inspect the ride to be convinced. |
tpia@:@tpia: Grand father was trying to name the newborn and he brought in the clerics to support his campaign. What is obtainable these days is for the father to give a name while the Imams only pronounce the name at the 'Aqeeqa'. It is the father's responsibility to give his child an acceptable Islamic name. Islamic name here should be alienated from Arabic name. Sweetnecta:@sweetnecta: Shows we are not really free from the Jailiyah days. If we must practice Islam let it be total and thorough and if we are traditional people lets stick to tradition. We can't be halfway here and halfway there. Like they say in politics; a little to the right and a little to the left. It's only in our daily strive for knowledge that we can be free of ignorance. |
greateros:@ greators: This one is a brand new one. Not registered and never been used. |

@deols: True talk. But these days the Ummah have resorted to names like Aliyah, Aleesha, Nabila etc. These names sound Arabic but in truth can hardly be traced to the companions of the Prophet SAW. Theres a lot of controversy surrounding child naming and just settling for a pretty name isn't all there is to it. Some names have taken center stage now and can only be traced to some tribes in Arabia or it's environs but not to the Glorious Quran. Correct me if I'm wrong, it is UN-Islamic to give a 'Muslim child' a name outside the Quran and outside, one that cannot be traced back to the matyrs of Islam and outside companions of the Holy Prophet and their relations. |

Why do we have this funny controversy about baby names and who gives the names? Last week I was party to a situation at an ‘Aqeeqa’ where a father had to involve some clerics into pacifying his son into agreeing to his decision to name his newborn. “It is tradition that as the Grandfather of the baby I should give her a name” said the old man. “Same way my father gave you your own name”. The younger man argued that he wanted a modern Muslim name for his daughter and not the usual boring ones. What’s your take on baby names? Do we have to stick to the regular names that eventually easily get funny pronounciations like:- Rashidi Ramoni Faruku Basiratu Mulikatu Rashidat Ganiyat Monsurat Kafayatu etc? |
Negro_Ntns:So people should die and serve as example to others abi? Well, i think it's the responsibility of the state to ensure safety on our roads. Same way people have patronized the BRT system despite the many hitches so will they also patronize the unsafe Okada as long as they are operational. Rich Dad:You're not safety conscious Rich Dad. You can't be in too much of a hurry and use a commercial motorcycle especially when you have the option of leaving your house early to catch a flight or attend a meeting. It's far better to get there late than not to get there at all. The roads were not built for motorcycles you know. |
zayhal:Ramadan Kareem! Yes its been a while, i've been around. Heard you gave my madam's hand out recently. Na wah oh! How is the family and my little angels? |
"Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain taqwaa." [2:183]Besides, training the body and soul in the month of Ramadan, the Muslim also tends to show gratitude to Allah in his acts of Ibadah, in humility and in modesty. Lowering his gaze and guarding his speech at all times. It's not just abstaining from food or water that validates the fast, the iman that makes a Muslim observe the fast, perform all the obligatory prayers at their appointed time with all sincerity is what earns the blessings of Allah. |
do did not leave a phone number to reach you. I am interested in your offers. |
Please can i get help with the report on this car? The details are as follows:- Car engine number :- SR200932070 VIN :- SJNBCAP10U0203918 THANKS! |
I tought i was wrong. I heard it too. The military man in camoflage said something about surviving a war in Nigeria without a scratch. That says something doesn't it? |
ma cherie:No! The poster has done nothing wrong. Like most of her peers here she just has her eyes on a life she never worked for. More like seeking "greener pastures" and having monkey work while baboon feeds fat. SEGE BARAWO! |
I have seen people looking for perfect being, but non could find near perfect, someone once said if you need a compatible partner get a TV set, because the remote control will be in your hand. If you really want a change ,be the change you preach. Tolerance !@poster: This is about the best advice you'll get anywhere. I don't want to castigate you but whats your extent of education yourself and how perfect are you? You can never get a man off the shelf so don't expect o get a perfect one. It hurts me when i hear people talk about searching for the right person. You can't ever be right except you are chosen by someone and that someone is only ready to cope with your vices, anomalies and attitude. Turn down your defences, lower your guards, allow someone sweep you off your feet today. |
Why would a man who is fanatical enough to die for a Islam, turn around and plead not guilty, lie, just because of 20 years?@cyberfreak: You call it just 20 years? Hope you recall the guy is just 23. In 23 years he was able to acquire a degree and sum up courage to blow up a plane. Am sure spending another 20 behind bars is not his idea of luxury, not for anybody. I don't envy his type of hype but i definately don't approve of the cavity he has added to our already soiled image. |
And the Nigerian factor made him fail in his attempt. Thank God for it in this case. Just like PHCN, his morale went off like a 60watt bulb. Hmmnnn!!!!!!!!!! |
As if love even exists. Eitherway, as a poor man or a rich dude true love will always elude you. |
There is no other name for whatever is WRONG. We can keep our abattoirs clean and it doesn't take chemicals to do that. It’s really disheartening that apart from the abattoirs, most of our facilities are not in order. Our roads, our electricity network, security, our judiciary and even our economy. It all boils down to one thing, we are an avaricious populace. We need to start changing our ways and aim at precision. Let’s make the coming generation follow a worthy path; we owe them nothing short of excellence. I am ready to turn a new leaf, let’s know if you are too. |
In long and short of the whole story, there was a time i had money problems and she offered to help but i hesitated and told her i don't borrow money anyhow especially not from a lady she persisted and i collected some money@kingsots Its quite clear that she borrowed you the money and you even made it quite clear in your post. You need to payback oh but i think it should be done with an understanding between the two of you. As adults it shouldn't have genereated to this extent, i guess you though you could chop and clean mouth with your "Odechi" abi, nothing dey happen. |
Have you ever considered yourself say about thirty five years from now? Old, tired and broke? Have you thought of what would happen to your teeming number of dependents especially kids in school, extended family or real estate that requires regular maintenance? I've been looking at the Nigerian situation closely and i don't think i like the available retirement plans at our disposal. I like to consider the future whenever i take decisions that affect me and i haven't been quite happy lately considering the situation. I am interested in finding a legitimate retirement plan that is not connected to the stock market. I already have an RSA and I just wonder if there is anything else available to limit risk from the stocks. I am also aware of forex ira's and bonds but Im looking for something truly unique. Have you got any ideas you want to share? What are your plans for retirement? |
