It has become pertinent to create an avenue where ideas for building styles, choice of colours to wall paint both interior and exteriir would be shared.
This is in order to reduce the drab looking but expensive structures we get to see on a daily basis. ( not on nairaland ).
Some structures a an overkill, others are a misuse of wall tiles.

Other buildings lack the good use of paint or in other words colour riot is evident.
You see sharp contrasts between paint colour and window sill or between aluminium roof colour and window.

Please professionals in the house, your contributions are needed to educate those of us who are learning.

Let's get to see less expensive architectural masterpieces looking drab, but structures with a touch of professionalism.

Oga Siena, i wonder if its my computer or your camera co can't view any more pictures of the van starting with the picture of the pig iron.
I would like to try my hands on a project like this one if i can lay my hands on a not so beaten van from the UK.
How much will one like that cost me.
Just so we can have the Nigerian version.

@Muyesky: What do you think about the durability of locally made aluminium roofing sheets compared with the imported ones?
I've seen some very beautiful colours you've used in many of the pictures you've posted here.
I even saw the interior of an aluminium factory in one of your threads.
If you think those sheets can stand the test of time kindly advise us on where we can get the roofing sheets here in Lagos.

TYPOP: Yes, you need the repatriation fees. Otherwise, some people will turn holiday into permanent residency. Having 110k back home is worth coming back home for (to some people, not all).

The bank statement is just to show you can afford your stay there. While you can get your permit with much less in your account, having more gives you an edge when the consular is making his decision. He thinks "this guy is not likely to be a liability in my country" if you have much. For the guy that has 250k, he may think "so, what happens if something happens and you have to spend some money you didn't plan for?"

If however you don't have that much, you should still submit your application. It shouldn't deter you. Trust in God, submit and believe for the best.

BTW, the price I gave for transportation is now changing. Tickets now go as high as 140k (and as low as 100k). Depends on when you book for your flight.

joshuapharm: I won't want to dabble into the medications Uve been given, but it's surely subject to change. Now you have to understand that there's no permanent solution to this, it's a case of management and lifestyle modification. About ur drug, I'd want to convince ur doctor to remove atenolol and bring in nitroglycerin and clopidogrel. I'd want to say some other things, buh I don't feel comfortable here. U myt need an angioplasty or bypass, ur physician would call that shot! U myt want to go for a troponin test too, cos u're at high risk of stroke and heart attack if u don't manage this well.

Buh importantly, eat less fatty food, if u could remove it completely from ur diet pls do. Control ur blood sugar too, monitor ur BP closely and avoid smoking and drinking. U can use diclofenac or ibuprofen for ur pain, but don't take it together wif vasoprin. I hope that helped. Cheers

The angioplasty or bypass you mentioned is it done here in Nigeria and where?

I've heard that a stent comes with complications and one may require another operation due to the complications.
Can i discuss further with you offline so i can arm myself with facts when next i meet my Doctor for a change in medication.

Hello Doctos in the house.

I've been experiencing pains in the left part of my chest for sometime now (about three years), it sometimes extends to my left arm and the sole of my left leg.
I'm also hypertensive and i've experienced blod pressure as high as 170/100 once.

I had to stop ISODIL because of it's severe effects (Migrane).
In my online research, i discovered the existence of "Enhanced External Counterpulsation" EECP therapy which is considered more efficient compared to Stents.

Please Doctor, where in Nigerian can one get the EECP procedure?
What are the permanent solutions to Angina and the prevention of stroke and Heart failure?
How can one possibly live a normal life devoid of the use of so many drugs which have their individual side effects on the subject?
