You should start by knowing what an IGR is, to help you out, it is a revenue from the state, in as much as it is paid in naira, it depends on the source of the fund, we have direct foreign investment and many others sources state government earn money and such naira earned increased with increased in the exchange rate.
You all were gloating over his investment that appreciated in naira but depreciated in dollar due to increased in the exchange rate. wasn't dividend part of the IGR again?

I stumbled on this thread and I want you guys to read this thread about Peter Obi's performance as governor by the Igbos themselves (majorly Anambraians). This was an era where no one was called 'Afonja' or being paid 30k monthly stipends for airing his/her view.

Why do these guys all of a sudden want to start painting Peter Obi as a performer when the citizens themselves acknowledged he was a failure and a boy-boy to Jonathan, I.e always running to Abuja while abandoning his duties to the state.

Is crude oil not sold in naira?, if you want to compare how good or bad your currency is doing, you have to use a common factor, which is mostly dollar.

Hello poster, in as much as I do know the authenticity of your data but if you check the figures you posted, you could see the variation of the figure in an upwards direction.

To break it down for you , for example, if income is 6B in 2011, 7.6B in 2012, 8.7B in 2013 and 10.4B in 2014 , checking well will tell you that there is a rate at which it is increasing which is partly as a result of variation in the exchange rate.

Convert it to dollar, you will see that Obiano did not generate much in 2017.

Ordinarily, Peter obi debt should also be increasing but it was not which means that the state debt was decreasing.

Get the dollar equivalent of those amount with respect to the exchange rate within the period under review then you will be ashamed of your criticisms.

If you divide his IGR in 2014 by 165 exchange rate , you will get about 63million dollars
And if you divide Obiano's IGR by 334usd to naira exchange rate in 2017, you will get about 52million dollars, you need to standardize your data.
so, you can see that those of us that are supporting Peter Obi are as intelligent as Obi. We are not illitrates. We don't support nonsense.

Ngige was sworn in May 29, 2003. That year the State generated N800m in revenue. 2004, the revenue quadrupled to N3.6bn, 2005, the previous year's revenue doubled to N7.4bn.

March 2006, he got booted out of office for operating with a stolen mandate and Peter Obi was sworn in

Same 2006, revenue dips by over 40% to N4bn, the attached pictures show the trajectory of the igr under Peter Obi. He left office in March 2014 leaving the IGR at N8bn (2013). 2014, IGR jumped to N10bn. The numbers for 2021are not yet out but 2020 puts the State's IGR at N28bn.

In 3yrs, Ngige was able x9 the State's IGR, Obiano was able to do x3.5 while Peter Obi could barely move the needle. It took Peter Obi 8 YEARS to surpass what he met on ground and the difference was just a billion

That's their plan, raise the exchange rate, sell dollar higher in the black market to make more naira to pay salary at the detriment of our naira purchasing power. To him, you have to be an importer or exporter to fill the impact of the high exchange rate. A serious government would have given the enabling environment to our production industrials, reach out to other countries for the supply of the goods that we can produce in Nigeria, buy from the locals for export and most especial, promote peace that will provide the enabling environment other than nepotism and segregation that have constantly drawing us back.

All APC is interested in is to win election and not governance. The same way they brought Buhari to win the election and after that nothing more.

That’s exactly my point. ASUU strikes are more complicated than limiting it to salary increment. That ASUU refused to call off the strike despite the increment is a good indication that Peter Obi lacked the basic understanding of what the problems were all about.

At national level, ASUU demands even gets more complicated. If Obi becomes president, I see ASUU going on strike for over a year. We must do everything to dodge this Obi bullet.

It's not about the problem you met on ground but how well it was resolved and with his experience in the state level, and advancement in the payment system, it will be far easy to resolve now irrespective of the level.

Even if at all it's true, being an incident that happened in 2010 and supposedly been resolved since, why didn't the inventor of the news tell us how it was resolved?
What about the ones that said that Ipob have placed a shoot at sight on PO, and some said that he is the leader of the IPOB?
