jumper524: Well am just curious, it's been long I heard about Biafra, Infact these days Monday sit at home has been suspended. Simon ekpa matter Don go one corner. Suddenly they've become democratic. Should they loose in 2023, would the Biafra mantra continue?? I can tell how much hustler Simon ekpa is praying so hard for Peter Obi to loose so he can become the next Nnamdi kanu.
If you are not wanted, what would you do, you take your leave and that's not a crime in any way. You can't eat your cake and have it, no peace for the wicked. By the way, why are you so scared of freedom?
Since Op pleaded "it should be taken seriously". I think it's morally right that he leads the way and report to authorities, moreso he is connected directly to first hand information on the crime.
Would you not agree?
If it's true then it will be risky reporting without a video evidence as that is tantamount to putting himself in danger, what do you think? How much faith do you have in our justice system as a common man?
HighTableVoice: That may be true, but reality is reality and not hypothetical. Lagos is Lagos and Tinubu is Tinubu. Igboho's struggle is deep rooted in the unification of Yoruba as a tribe and not with the main purpose of breaking a country out of Nigeria. That is the difference. A country within a country. In all honesty the general idea of secession is an absolute contradictory notion to the country's wellbeing, it's development, and even much so to the first sentence of the Nigeria constitution.
You are obviously twisting the whole thing, so, 8f that was the main reason, what's the main purpose of AFENIFELE then?
maasoap: Only dumbos wouldn't agree that Tinubu was fenced out of Buhari's administration. He might be part of the help that brought Buhari to power but he was completely sidelined. Even the APC primary election says everything
If he was sidelined, and not in support with how Buhari administration is going, how come he still supported his second term with two bullion Vans load of cash? For his greed for power, has he ever spoken against the leadership style of Buhari, he is more concern about becoming Nigeria president than the well-being of Nigerians. He doesn't care if everyone perishes as long as he becomes the president.
Mossadd: shut up!!! you are just a stupid liar. you don't need lies or propaganda to sell obi candidacy stop constituting nuisance all over the Internet stop Embarrassing obi with all these useless write up go get sense mumu
You may be suffering a mental illness, what does my post have to do with your frustrations?
HighTableVoice: Igbo wanting to contribute to the development of Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole is a welcoming idea, but it is also hard to argue that the Igbos haven't necessarily retract themselves as an inclusive part of Nigeria's and Nigerians development. The never ending idealism of secession is a starting point, how do you contribute to a country you claim you don't belong to?
Is Sunday igboho an igbo man? Who are those agitating for Odudua republic ? So, Yoruba need to quash themselves the idealism too, Tinubu never would have believed in one Nigeria if not that he is benefitting from it. Take Lagos out from his grasp, he will change to a new song.
The man still maintained what he said but in a subtle way. Tinubu is old and will be worst than Buhari, the man that cannot remember the name of his party, would he know what's going on in the country. A man that talks carelessly, with So much pride will continue the blame game as being done by his party. Because of greed for power, he watches as things spill out of country in the government he is a major player in without saying a word.
Realist12: How did the Yorubas let this happen to them . They can't try this in other regions. This election will really show the Yorubas the kind of people they let in their home. We all can see them cursing everyone who has a different view or doesn't support Obi, you have a right to support Obi , Obi hasn't contributed or influenced our growth but Tinubu has paid WAEC and laid the legacy in Lagos which is beneficial to their tribesmen in Lagos. The drive in the real estates in lekki axis benefits everyone regardless of tribe, they enjoy the BRT ,and secured Lagos for their businesses to thrive yet they have never wished good for the country or the state , Lagos has always helped them but they celebrate every bad news in Lagos. No matter how you help a bastard child he'd still show you his ingratitude.
To you, it has turned to yoruba and Igbo and if that's the case , is it not greed that will make you still be complaining about an Igbo candidate wanting to contest the seat of presidency in Nigeria after a yoruba has been the president and VP for 16years put together. What wrong has Igbo done beside wanting to contribute to the nation's development? You should bury your head in shame, all the agitations here and there are because of greedy people like you. You want Tinubu to continue from where Buhari stopped so that your heart desires shall be achieved? What good does he have that he can't offer to the current administration that he is part and parcel of? Wicked souls
How do these Ibodients hope to win election then? OP is saying APC is going to disrupt election. So election was disrupted in Osun, is that why PDP and Adeleke won?
Op, call Abuja dpo and report APC plan to disrupt election. Make Obi proud of you.
Realist12: The only people who will vote Obi are his IPOB and some social media youths who are following the bandwagon without asking questions. If you ask them to name one remarkable project Obi did in Anambra they can't find any ,other than saying he left money in the treasury , paid salaries/pensions, isn't he supposed to do that? Are there governors who don't do this recurring duties. They are really lowering the bar. All of this things Tinubu did without even hyping himself . To me Obi is just a China product it looks flashy but can't stand the test of time . Tinubu that did his homework, built a structure isn't dumb but knows the job ahead needs true competence and not miracle.
Are you in Anambra? the answer is No, last election, He got almost 90% of votes cast in anambra for Atiku showing that Anambra people are happy with him, even if we show you heaven on earth done by PO in Anambra you will still not accept. The man worked in anambra and one good thing about him is that he is involved in the contract negotiation, He got very good bargain in all the contracts he executed, he doesn't spend money carelessly hence he was able to save alot.
He paid all the debt he meant on ground and left some money behind for the successor too. Lemme see you agree to this or acknowledge now as if you weren't actually up to no good.
ImperialYoruba: What a rare privilege indeed. It is a crime to rob people of their votes or to steal ballots or interfere in the exercise of their rights.
Your contact and knowledge has made you an accessory to crime. If this plot is carried out successfully it is because you and your two privileged friends failed to do the right thing for Nigeria. Now, you must report this planned crime so authorities can kill it.
You can lead police to your friends, and your friends will lead police to the APC stakeholders that organized the strategy meeting.
Nairalanders, am I wrong? This op must report this evil plan to DPO immediately.
What are you saying? Only video evidence uploaded online can do what you're saying, reports such as the one you mentioned will back fire and even you will join in his condemnation.
babaolofin: Peter Obi is not in contention for the Presidency. All the IBOS want is for the power not to be given to Tinubu ( the Yorubas). They are indirectly working for the Atiku.
Dogara, Babachir Lawal and Boss Mustapha are not working for Christian but for different agenda, ultimately, Atiku is the person the agenda favour.
You're bereft of logical reasoning, too many low IQ people out there, no wonder the country has been on the reverse gear By you, Peter obi is not a contender, Igbos want do not want power to be given to Tinubu, right? what are Igbos not supporting Atiku? If your line of thoughts is not foolish and filled with selfishness, are Igbos not Nigerians and not capable of ruling. Is power Tinubu's birth right? Is Peter Obi contesting for the benefit of Igbos alone? Is hardship being faced in the country affecting only a section of the country?
Ment. All the big churches are in Lagos. Have they been islamised yet? Na ment? A good brain would know that since Tinubu didn't islamise his wife and Lagos, he won't islamise anyone. Stop limiting politics and competency to religion.
Like, you could see the high strides which Tinubu achieved in Lagos such as his legacies which include Lekki seaport, lekki trade zone, BRT, Eko Atlantic, BRT terminal, high increase in Lagos revenue even at the time Obasanjo withheld Lagos allocation for several years yet Tinubu made Lagos' thrived regardless. But rather than look at these, you're limiting Tinubu to his religion. How is Peter Obi who's got no achievement whatsoever better than Tinubu's enormous legacies in Lagos? Na ment? Tinubu is a first class graduate of accounting whereas Peter Obi is only a D pass graduate of philosophy.
Also, Tinubu is the most liberal leader who always ensure he brings in intelligent talents to nurture and work with him, irrespective of their religion or Tribes. People such as Fashola, Sanwo Olu, Osinbajo, Igbokwe etc..
Point is most Yoruba Muslims are different from the Northern Muslims. They don't allow religion to cage them. Personally, I hope for when religion would only be limited to home and religious houses because that's where it belongs. By limiting religion to only homes and religious houses, this would create more secular carefree avenue for people to use their brain to think outside of the box and improve their environment. Religion or non religion shouldn't be a determinant in any of our settings. Competence should always be championed and should be the main determinant.
Now on the question why Tinubu chose a Northern Muslim despite being a Muslim. It's a political strategic move. He chose a Northern leader from the core North which happens to be a Muslim since almost all the Northern leaders are Muslims anyway.
You all know that most of the leaders in the South are Christians while Muslims are the majorities in the North. Let imagine for example that a Northern Christian happened to get the presidential ticket of a huge platform, who do you think he would choose as his deputy in the South? Of course a popular Southern who may eventually end up being a Christian. Why? Because majority of the leaders in the South are Christian hence choosing one of the popular Southern leaders could end up being a Christian. That was exactly what Tinubu did. It's a political strategic move.
That's why religion shouldn't be a determinant in any settings because it's only a personal thing. Imagine if Shettima was only seen as a Northern Nigerian while Tinubu was seen as a Southern Nigerian. That already balanced the equation and criteria needed instead of bringing in religion into the prism. Point is when you look at Europe, American and Canada, they don't care about your religion whether you're Christian, Muslim or Atheist. What they care about is your competence irrespective of your religion. You wouldn't care about the religion of a doctor who's to operate on you but his competence. Religion shouldn't be a ticket for you to get your way out of your incompetence and I'm talking about Peter Obi who achieved absolute nothing in his Anambra state.
Meanwhile, I believe Tinubu chose Shettima as his deputy because Zulum was Shettima's protégé. Zulum would have been the perfect fit but he wanted a second term as a governor hence Shettima. This isn't about religion.
Did you see Peter obi in the write up? Is Peter obi the only presidential aspirant, are you okay atall? This exactly showed that your write up is all lies
Throwback: Because they are not supporting Obi, they must be denigrated?
You are the one denigrating them, everybody looks for daily bread and if I think they are there just because of that, what's bad there, after all it's part of their money stolen, whoever any politician offers something should collect but vote for your future, nothing goes for nothing, the more they spend the less they are likely going to work and any politician backing on his fellow politicians to win election is winning for the fellow politicians. Buhari could not perform because he surrounded himself with politicians who are only interested in serving the interest of their political structures and not the masses.
Arelyn: Thankfully, you and I agree there is a possibility and I know it was there many years back but the banks are their for profit as they are privately owned, so their interest rates are high... I know of these not for profit organisations such as the building societies and credit unions in UK and Ireland established by individuals bonded by similar interest and partly subsidized by Government to ensure the delivery of these credit facilities at a competitive rate better than that of the bank's rate...We have cooperative societies in Nigeria that are doing exactly the same thing but they are only member funded and they provide credit facility like mortgages and the likes
Yeah, the major problem is the system, curruption has to be tackled first. all we need is effective monitoring system.
Arelyn: We have them but they are limited to only the big sharks that can afford to pay the excessive interest rate..Accountability is the number one problem but If these measures are targeted at those who receive their salary straight from Government coffers, we will be putting a large amount of people on their path to financial freedom and a good amount of those people won't see the need to indulge in any morally or ethically wrong venture to put a roof above their heads, that way some amount of corrupt practices will be shelved, which was what Tinubu was trying to say in that short clip
I stopped at the bolded since it seems you don't kniow that is already available to them, the problem is the bank charges and the interest rate which is controlled by the inflation rate. Whichever way you look at it, it has to be well handled else it will plunge our financial institutions into crises. Banks used to do it before but I don't know about now, they used to give their staff loans and deduct from their salaries. IBTC bank used to give loans to individuals with a verifiable and reliable means of income. I don't know if they still do it now., the challenge is ability to pay
Nigerians have seen this film before; in 2015 they moved from this same place to the one in Lekki to many others, preaching hate, bigotry and speaking like gods, yet God who rules in the affairs of men and choose those in leadership authorities , rejected their choice so they lost . God is not mocked and He will prove Himself once again that they are not from him.
Nothing built on falsehood, hate and bigotry will stand. They lost in 2015 & 2019, they will still lose against Asiwaju Tinubu's APC in 2023 then they will go into hibernation to resurface in 2030, rinse and repeat. All na wash and showmanship, they do not have the numbers
Forget this sponsored shows, real voters won't vote for HE Obi because they believe that this same man never served creditably or helped the people especially the downtroden unlike Asiwaju Tinubu they all agreed has helped a lot of people and did a lot of work while he was Governor
How are you feeling about the one you elected? Is your sense of judgement something to be trusted again? You abandoned Jonathan that introduced all the indices for better government to this one that can't boost of any new good thing in his name ?
ElSudani: Unfortunately he is running for president and I assume that is the president of Nigeria and not the president of CAN or Christians. I am a Christian but no bigot or fanatic is ever going to get my vote. There are at least 10 other candidates, how many of them are all over the place visiting mosques or Churches, only Peter Obi.
Are those ones in the churches not Nigerians? Charity begins at home, he has not don't anything wrong. He needs to teach out to everybody, he can't win election inside his sitting room.
Arelyn: There are unemployed people everywhere in the world and that's why credit facilities are means-tested. If you don't have the means to pay for it, you can't get it...
There are millions of Government workers who are unable to get a roof over their heads but earn enough to afford to contribute 30K to 50K every month to pay over a long period like 30-35years to have a house to themselves. Credit facilities will ensure they can buy whatever they can afford to pay over some time. It is so funny that people can use this facility to buy something as stupid as a Phone and repay over 12-36months depending on what they can afford to pay, that's why it is always means-tested and not collateral dependent as we presently have in Nigeria.
The unemployed will have to get a means to attain regular income, an okada driver, a bus driver etc will comfortably own home if credit systems are in place unlike the present situation where individuals need to raise a bulk amount to buy land, raise another to do foundation and the cycle goes on
We have all these in Nigeria, the problem is ability to pay back and when the interest rate is low, government officials give it out to themselves by proxy.
The first thing we need in this country is accountability, active database, accessibility and the right leaders, intelligent and enterprising leader than he is ready to embrace new ways of going things
Tareq1105: Are you blaming their gullibility? You know all these Obi people are indomie children with little or no knowledge of good governance. I agree with them about the state of the nation but they don't think deeply and that's the mistake millions of Nigerians made in 2015. I mean this "kick and go" support for Buhari and APC took advantage of it not knowing that our man knew next to nothing. The same mistake is about to be repeated by these children. Capacity and experience is very key and that's what would inform my final decision next year.
Think it through, how can government give you loan without an assured means to pay back, those that qualified have always gotten a loan, banks are even begging people to come and collect a loan but the challenge is paying back. Job security is another thing. Anybody giving out loan must have the means to get their money back. If you make it less secured, they will lend money to their family and friends knowing that you cannot default without been jailed and that itself is another avenue for corruption. Think well or ask any banker you know
Arelyn: Credit facilities such as Mortgages, Car loans, personal loans, Educational loans etc are certainly the way to go to attain luxury in most developed countries everyone wants to "Japa" to.....Availability of both soft loans and hard loans will reduce dependence on bulky cash transactions; a precursor for corruption) which means individuals only need to find a regular and steady means of paying back a predetermined amount then other secondary needs can be achieved with ease
You can try to deny it but a large number of Nigerians in the diaspora who have a house to themselves today or will buy in future can only achieve it through a mortgage and you don't need to be in the most glamorous of all jobs to own a home in most of these countries because individuals are means-tested before loans are handed to them and such loans are protected with different forms of insurance ( mortgage insurance, life assurance, income protection insurance etc.)
He has a genuine point and liberals like me love to hear alternative solutions to the status quo and not the normal shenanigans our politicians dish out to appeal to emotions. I guess this submission and the widening of the tax bracket are different ideas that are not common for politicians to come up with...
Where will you get the collateral from or don't you think that we have such in place, what of the interest as banks would want?
We have it in place but you have to be qualified to access it which most of Nigerians are not qualified for.
You can't just give loan to someone that cannot pay. My bank is even begging me to collect a loan of which I turned down. Inflation rate won't even allow lenders give out loan too
They don't know that one person on twitter has family members he or she can tell what's happening and the direction to follow, the same people on twitter can influence those not on twitter.
