What type of foundation is recommended between an Inverted T beam or a Rectangular beam ? |

[quote author=jimyjames post=100151693]as long as Nigerian music is concerned, those that came before burna laid the Nigerian music foundation he only built on it, back then on every radio station, TV station, night clubs Barbers shops, the only music they played was American Hiphop, Jamaican reggae, makossa music, and some old highlife music, there was nothing like afro Hiphop or anything new in Nigerian music , till young musicians like plantation Boyz , African China, p square, nigga raw danfo drivers the mo hit crew 9ice rugged man, da green sound Sultan etc changed the narrative, were was burna boy from 1999 to 2010 when all these Nigerian musicians worked hard to put Nigerian music on the world map, ? Nigerian music was recognized through them, that was when MTV had to create MTV base for African musicians, BET, Chanel O etc started playing Nigerian songs, Nigerian music dominated through them , American musicians started having concerts in Nigeria , burna boy was never during these period burna boy wizkid davido tekno tiwa savage patoranking run Town etc are in the same category of the new musicians who built on the foundation that was already laid there is nothing to debate on this [/quote Some truth now... But what about Sean Tizzle and Dammy Krane ? Whose foundation are they building on |

jimyjames: Burna boy got no where with his original style of music, till he changed his style and started sampling fela, sunny ade, featuring Nigerian artist like 2face , wizkid, timaya etc that was when he became known in the industry
I still repeat my point Nigerian musicians who came before burna laid the foundation both home and abroad he only built on it, he only came at the right time after other musicians before him worked to get Nigerian music recognized internationally
He worked hard for it, I'm not disputing that fact, but fact still remains, he only built on the foundation that was laid by those who came before him Nigerian musicians were already winning international awards before he came, to proof Nigerian music already gained international recognition, burna came from behind to win the biggest of them Burna is the First and the only Nigerian in history to have a debut album chart on the Billboard in 2013. By 2015, he became the first Nigerian to sign an international deal with Universal Music... You are saying nonsense... Btw the feature with 2face and Wiz was in 2013 on his debut album. Your problem is ignorance. Burna worked his way to the top from scratch. He was blackballed in Nigeria. Restricted from performing in the UK till 2016. You don't know Jack about him. Nobody paved nothing for him ❗ |

jimyjames: I'm not pained, there is nothing there to feel embittered about, I only pointed out that those who came before burna laid the Nigerian music foundation both home and abroad burna only built on it , and his style of music is still under the fela afro beat he hasn't ditched it completely like you said
go and listen to burna boys original style of music before he changed , songs like, ( all eyes on me) , (Like to party ) etc that was his original style , he was hanging out with South African artist and those songs got him no where till he switched afro beat You can't tell me about Burna ... Like to Party, Tonight were hits in the country.... All eyes on me is the biggest SA Naija collaboration and the most awarded in African history... Fela has children copying his style, why are they not as big as Burna ?? It's the Wild West...you get what you work for... |

jimyjames: I still stand by my point, Nigerian musicians that came before him cleared the land laid the foundation and burna boy built on it, he didn't build his own foundation, even his style of music is influenced by fela's music, his ever first album had features from 2face , wizkid and a host of other Nigerian musicians, he used to give fela credit initially till he became famous and proud Till he became famous and proud ? Or till he was tired of the tears from people like you who say he is always sampling Fela ? Now he has ditched Fela completely and you are pained Nobody paved nothing for him... Go and pave for Sean Tizzle... If e easy, everybody for de do am... |

jimyjames: the fact still remains those that came before him, already made Nigerian music popular in the Western world before he came, big names like 2face , Dbanj, sound Sultan, p square , etc laid the foundation, his music career is not up to 10 yrs, he only built on the already recognized Nigerian music , he is just too proud to say nice things about Nigerian music in general, he came into the game at the height of Nigerian music international recognition The same Burna who started music in pH in 2011.... How old are you ? He didn't come in at the height, he elevated the industry with his albums ❗ Why can't those people lay the foundation for people like Danny Krane or Sean Tizzle ? Burna worked his way here... Nobody did shit for him ❗ |

jimyjames: burna boy didn't win the Grammy only on the account of this singular album remember he was nominated for Grammy previously on the other album and won other international awards in the past, that's not even the point the point is his style of music is heavily influenced by the great fela , and those that came before him, actually put Nigerian music on international recognition making it easy for musicians like him to be recognized quickly , he didn't lay the foundation from scratch He is the first mainstream act in history to get nominated or win a GRAMMY... He told y'all last year... Nobody paved shit for him ❗ |

jimyjames: truth is a lot of Nigerian musicians that came before Burna boy actually cleared the land laid the foundation and burna only built on it,
he samples Fela's beats and songs a lot, I will say if fela's kids had worked as hard as Bob Marley's kids worked to fellow their fathers footsteps, they could have won multiple Grammys by now just like Bob Marley's kids
burna boys mom and grand father who both worked with fela contributed a lot to burna boys success There is NOT A SINGLE FELA sample on his Album that won a GRAMMY |

kayjay69: This guy needs shut the fc_uk up and move on abeg. I salute his achievement but this braggado talk is just childish. You are not the only one to ever win a grammy, you may be the first Nigerian but there will be many. No idea is original, there's nothing new under the sun.
His winning a grammy this year is not only as a result of his hardwork, it is as a result of the foundation that has been laid out over the years, dating back to Fela's initial grammy nomination.
One tree never makes a forest, Burnaboy needs to fall back and enjoy his time in the limelight while he he is here but he should also remember that nothing in this world lasts forever. Complete bollocks ❗❗ Fela does not have a single GRAMMY nomination. |

Balogunodua: Did you do mathematics in school
How million is in a billion Even if one dance is 1.9billion Wizkid is still far ahead of Burnaboy. Ase, go check Spotify and stop clowning.... Remove one dance... Wiz is left with 1.4 Billion Burna Spotify is 1.6 Billion Wixkid's Solos amount to 545 Million on Spotify Features over 2.7 Billion Burna Solo is 715 Million on Spotify Features 885 Million |

Moura7: Based on your analysis which seems to be wrong( no offence), Burna has about 768m streams aside from his alleged 52% features in another artiste's songs while removing Wiz alleged 75% feats in other artiste's songs, he has 825m streams, this is from your stats on Spotify oo. Even the most streamed Nigerian song on Spotify is Wizkid's come closer I made a mistake with the percentage Wixkid's Solos amount to 545 Million on Spotify Features over 2.7 Billion Burna Solo is 715 Million on Spotify Features 885 Million |
Music/Radio › Re: Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ Most-streamed Nigerian Album On Spotify In 2020 by Mykel51(m): 4:58pm On Dec 03, 2020 |
Moura7: Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. Wizkid has over 2bn streams on Spotify alone of which one dance is 1 billion. So excluding one dance, he still has over a billion streams on Spotify alone. He still has over two billion streams across other platforms apart from Spotify. Don't know much about Burna's streams but i know AG has over a billion streams across all platforms, don't think L.I.F.E and Outside have half as much. Don't know why you're excluding one dance though cus I know BB also has collaborations with top notch foreign acts eg Future.
PS The streams on wizkid were as at 2019, none included this year. Wizkid has 3.3 Billion on Spotify.. one dance alone is 1.9 Billion Burna has 1.6 Billion on Spotify Over 75 percent of Wiz Streams are from feature I other people songs While for Burna irs just around 52 percent. Ass solo artist Burna has the most Streams for any Africsn in history.... |

Abagworo: Davido's album is barely 2 weeks old and is likely going to equal Burnaboy's sales in the next 2 weeks across various platforms. From my observation it is the fastest selling album in Nigerian history. On Audiomack it is already 79 million streams in 2 weeks plus while Burnaboy is at 93 million and Wizkid at 57 million. There are two versions of TAT on Audiomack.. the other at 30M... Add to the one you see..it brings it to 123 Million. Put on a VPN...you would see the other version. |
Music/Radio › Re: Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ Most-streamed Nigerian Album On Spotify In 2020 by Mykel51(m): 4:55pm On Dec 02, 2020 |
Okaforhenry: If all albums were released at same ,I bet you this list would be greatly unique with the likes of David and wiz kid topping the chat with Burna struggling for the 2nd or 3rd The timing is just far apart
I rest my case ! WRONG. Africsn Giant of 2019 has more Streams than SFTOS of 2017 ❗ |

Balogunodua: Just because they write and sing about love doesn't mean they are talentless.
And for your information Wizkid still remains the most streamed artist in Africa and no talentless person can achieve that... One dance numbers... As a Solo artist... Wixkid is extremely weak... Burna is the most streamed as a Solo artist. |
