I will forever defend her. I am from Ogun State and an Ijebu man who had my First Degree from a Federal Institution in IBO land apart from my regimental training. I understand Nigeria system very well. Ngozi never presented a fake document but she never had NYSC certificate. In a developed environment, the fake document would have been detected early for her to be rejected . She would have not been exploited to carry the burden created by Ngozi and her team. PMB would have found ways to carry on the government through recession. Mr Babatunde Fowler & other Lagos team that moved to Abuja should gradually be packing their loads.

Not having a NYSC certificate is not a crime but having a forged one is a crime.She was never exploited but rather she exploited the loophole in the system and made money. please note no country remains in recession forever and it is not the first time Nigeria experience recession and in all we overcame recession without her. please stop talking about taking Nigeria out of recession as if without her we would not overcome it . may be you think i am ibo. The Senate & the executive should not have allowed her dissipate her intellects, time, ingenuity & energy from 2015 when the recession was tough, they should have allowed her to go for somebody with original NYSC certificate to pilot the finance ministry when National Assembly does not understand how budget will work & States cannot pay salary.

She has never lobbied or applied to Ogun State or FG for job. She does not require NYSC certificate to work abroad or as a consultant . She may never need the certificate in her life. Okonjo - Iweala does not have NYSC certificate to work as Minister of Finance. The DSS ought to have detected it during screening. The Senate ought to have removed the certificate since it was detected to be fake and not needed in her circumstances for that job. The Buhari naivety & ignorance that made APC lose the National Assembly leadership is what she suffered for. They just exploited her. The god of Nigeria will judge them.

Firstly, the forged certificate was not needed for her to occupy the post of Minister of Finance under her circumstances. Secondly, since she has not been cross-examined as said by you, then, she has not put up a defence. The question to ask is why is it that no human rights or civil society organization or any Non State Actor or political party has gone to Court over this issue?

Human Right Lawyers, Civil Society Organizations & Non State Actors or Political Parties would have gone to Court over less criminal offences. The noise & cry are just out of enviousness & bitterness. Forged certificate is now an issue when recession is over, oil price is appreciating , foreign reserve increasing when importation of many items consuming billion of dollars have been banned & the money diverted to developmental projects.

I thought they would have come up with this issue when she was under intense pressure to manage economy of a nation under her worst economic recession. The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB has threatened to shutdown the Federal Government activities in all the South-East States. About 112 Pro-Biafra was arrested after a protest and a magistrate Court in Imo ordered the women to be remanded in Prison.

The proscribed organization to with indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB has warned the Government to free the women arrested during the peaceful protest. If these women are not released within 24 hours we will come out en mass and shutdown the government functionalities in the South-East State.

Recall that a magistrate court sitting in Owerri, presided over by S.K Durumba, Monday remanded 112 pro-Biafra women in Owerri prison. Two Pregnant women who slumped during the arraignment will be arraigned on Thursday, when they would have regained their health.

The women were arraigned in eight count charge No: Ow/430c/2018. The eight count charge reads:

That you conspired with others now at large to commit misdemeanor to wit conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 517 of the criminal code.

“Did belong to a proscribed organization to with indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, and thereby committed an offense punishable under section 2 (3) ( i) of the terrorism (prevention ) act, 2011 as applicable in Imo state.

“Conspired with others now at large to commit a felony to wit treasonable felony and thereby committed an offense punishable under section 516 of the criminal code Act, Cap. C38, Laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004 as applicable in Imo state.

“That you and others now at large did in a public place ,conduct yourselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by unlawfully obstructing the flow of traffic and other business and thereby committed an offense punishable under section 249 (d) of the criminal code act, Cap. C38, Laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004 as applicable in Imo state.”

Meanwhile the IPOB havs vowed to resist any form of attack of their people by the Security agent of the Federal Government.
