Think about it. Our culture is actually set up for things like these to thrive. Most people are raised not to ever mention it and even when they do the other parent might even convince them that it never happened so it does not bring shame to the family. I know of one case of incest that everybody found out about but today the man and woman are still married and their daughter still calls him daddy. That was the one case that accidentally got out. Most will never come out and the family will most likely support it not coming out and it just keeps happening. The victim has to keep being victimized until they escape by going away to school or getting married and even then sometimes it still does not stop.

If the shameful act is not condemned and punished by the extended family/society,whether the girl "escapes" by going to school or getting married,the molesting basta.rd will still find opportunity to perpetrate his eveil act.There was this case of this Alaba market trader(young man) who many alleged was doing more than just spare parts to have the kind of wealth he had,this Dude on one of his foreign trips,was arrested in one of the European countries and was jailed for two years for drug trafficking.During that time,the wife cited loneliness and decided to move back to his father's house,when the husband returned,she moved back to her husbands house,just over two weeeks her tummy shot out,of course her returnee husband suspected something was fishy and threatened to throw the wife out of the house,accusing her of probably sleeping with some of his friends while he languished in a European jail.It was then the wife confessed that she has never slept with any other man,except the husband and father.She 'fessed that her dad started abusing her almost as soon as her mum died,when she was 12 or so and that even while the husband was around,anytime she went visiting the dad,they still had se.x

Ibori: Presidency Remains United, Strong

Former Delta State Governor, Chief James  Ibori,  said yesterday that the Presidency remains not only united but strong with the strong Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) firmly in charge.

The former governor, who said  he had uncovered a plot by those he described as some disgruntled politicians to  manipulate the media just to score cheap political goals, dismissed the assumption  that a power contest was on in Abuja.

Ibori, in a statement signed by his Media Assistant, Tony Eluemunor, said  “using some spurious groups that barely exist on the ground in Delta state as cover, the malcontents and the rascally elders behind them have been circulating malicious materials and outright falsehood to several news organisations."
