I could almost weep reading some comments here. We all have a conscience and let our hearts judge us. If these universities were for the rich then the right thing to do would have been to go to the bank, get a loan and then start repaying back the loan from the tuition. Someone gave a solid example here. How could i contribute money in the morning to buy food and get it cooked then you now come tell me in the evening that the standard of the food is so high and its so sweet that its not for my likes but for others better, more equal than me. Its not done, but i really wonder what these pastors think about on their bed at night. Do they really think they are right? Leave Christainity out of this please, it is wrong to collect money from someone especially in the name of Charity and then turn it to a full business venture. What is the translation from the Charity organisation to the business venture.
Everyone should go back to the real aims and objectives of christainity and of Christ, buts its rather unfortunate and really Christ has said it, He might not find faith on earth by the time He comes back and He said even the very elect will be deceived and it will take the grace of God but i pray God help us all. I think this is not a matter of Christainity really, its a matter human right and wrong.

I love this discussion. I have always loved to do business - not buying and selling, right from a tender age. I always see my self working for myself and others working for me and most especially my money working for me, God help me. I have done businesses that were right all way through and I've done some that were wrong right from the beginning but you know what, no regrets whatsoever because for me, its a learning curve. I bought some trucks in 2009 from the UK (2 MAN diesel) trucks which were never delivered. Its a long story. I've also learnt not to start a business in a hurry or out of emotional attachment. I started a cold room and closed it down after less than six months. Thank God it was rented. I closed down because the initial capital was so high and the turnover was low, thats my point of view. If i put that kind of money and effort into my nursery and primary school now, ill be a force to reckon with within a short period. In cold room business, you dont get paid until the fish sellers and hawkers finish selling for the day and sometimes, some just dissapper after a few months. I eventually decided, its a business for the not too educated, you have to deal with traders and know their ways. I am a web developer and could make the profit i make from the cold room in a month in just one web job without putting in too much money and paying the staff.
I really think school business is worth anyones while particularly if you're passionate about educating. My school was profitable right from the first term and the profit increases as the term goes by. With strategic locationing and very good publicity the sky is the limit. I think am just well cut out for this really and you know am so satisfied that i have to pinch myself that i need another business along side which am thinking about now.I have to go now, business calls.

I am weeping here! Are we following Christ or following our pastors? Sincerely ask yourself, some times you dont even need the bible to tell you what is a sin or not, we all have our consciences. A dirty habit is also a sin. Will there be masturbation in heaven? Can you pray when you're masturbating? why do you masturbate? Sometimes, you dont even see some things written in the bible, you just know by your God given instinct that what youre doing is wrong. You know what, the bible says let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Even the very elect will fall short of heaven. Please we need to be very careful, we don't have to rationalise the bible all the time by saying somethings are sins against God and sins against the body. Lets mortify the fruits of the flesh. Whatever it is, sin against God, body, humanity, it is a sin and sin of whatever means will separate us from God.

Whao, i love the process of building. Talking from experience, i bought a house which was built in the 80's and renovated it. i refloored everywhere and i have tiles all over the place. I noticed like three weeks ago that there are some termite and insect actions in some rooms, like in five places at present. i didnt understand how insects can bore into tiles and bring sand out. i just didnt know what to do. last week when i was going through these posts, i then understood that this is probably possible because german floor was not done on the building initially. So despite the tiles on the floor and tiles lining the floor, termites were still able to penetrate. i just finished building a house for commercial purpose without german floor. However, after this my discovery, there will not be any house of mine, ever, without german floor. So my piece of advise, do german floor. Really when you do flooring after decking, then its not a german floor again, its ordinary flooring because the space where the blocks will stand will not be covered and termites can still penetrate. As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. However most are led by their pastors these days. When Jesus comes back to the earth, will he still find faith on earth.

I wonder if these pastors don't fear God at all or are they not seeing what we are seeing, they serve money and extort money through whatever means from church memebers. i used to pay tithe religiously but was always sad at the way its been used by the churches. My spirit is always more at peace when i find a need in someones life or in the church and fill it with my tithe. Ive consulted my spirit and my spirit that has led me to do right in other instances will not lead me wrong in the case of tithing.

All we do is enrich the pastors with our tithes and its really unfair. People are suffering in the church. Some of these pastors that are really working cannot feed their family adequately. Let the Spirit lead is all i will say.

i have 2 plots of land with osun river passing behind it. It will be good for hotel. it is at Aregbe area, closer to Abijah. Building a moderate 2bedroom bungalow in Osogbo shouldnt be more than 2M thats minus the finishing. Cement at today in osogbo is N1,950, borehole is N150,000 (manual), gravel is 6k, labour of course depends on what you want done but per day for labourers is between 1600 - 2000. Roofing of a 2bedroom will be relative depending on the type of roofing.

I had to take a deep breath after reading other peoples accounts. For me, it has not been easy but God has been extremely faithful. i got born again in my secondary school and its been like a roller coaster really. having a heart to serve God and living in the world with the world. My initial university days - part one was a big challenge. Family idols trying to weigh me down. In all, i have held on strongly to Jesus who sometimes carried me because i couldn't even walk and sometimes am limping. I know for sure, God never left me.

To the outsider my life is beautiful, but its always been a fight to get all Christ promised me, and did i win the battles, YES I always come out victorious with a new lesson learnt. One thing is for sure, if not for God i will not be where i am and i will not be who i am and i will not be alive.

Christ has been so real to me, i could almost touch him sometimes beside me. i know He is there. I can't argue with an unbeliever because really some things are better experienced. I have experienced Christ, communed with the Holy Spirit and this is all i want to do; follow Christ all the days of my life because there is no other way to the father.
