BREAKING NEWS....

USA MOVES TO CHECKMATE DOLLAR STOCKPILE IN AFRICA..

Sequel to the just concluded extraordinary meeting held in Washington DC on Nov. 2nd 2022 between the United States Federal Reserve Bank, Office of the Comptroller of Currency, IMF, World-Bank and Governors of Africa's Central Banks, the United States Govt has set date for restriction on acceptable legal tender note of US Dollar which will commence on Jan. 31st 2023.

The restriction implies that any US Dollar note below 2021 printed date will no longer be accepted or be a legal tender anywhere in the world... This effort is to curb billions of illegal monies in dollar bills warehoused around African continent emanating from drug related, terrorism, kidnapping and money from corrupt politicians.

As part of the enforcement of the strict action plan, African central banks will be assigned with a special agent from the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Administrator of National bank United States of America to checkmate all inflows and outflows of dollar transactions.

The report also has it that US president has also written to British Government and European Union to tow same line and redesign their currencies accordingly to frustrate those with ill-gotten money in US dollar, British Pound Sterling and Euros.

Should this action be implemented come January 2023 as reported, Nigerian corrupt politicians will be worse hit.

I think it should be possible if its not in commercial quantity.

But that same Peak Milk is here though plus tens of other brands of milk

Goodmorning everyone.

Please I need help.
Considering cost of rent affordability and transport cost to London and also raising a young family (childcare cost)

Living in Colchester or Kent which one makes more sense

I lived in Kent once albeit 10 years ago.

I loved it. It had this beauty and serenity

I think is cheaper to commute to London from Kent than Colchester.

With a biased mind, I would go for Kent - there are lots of lovely villages on both the Charing Cross to Hastings and the Charing Cross to Ashford train lines and the massive advantage is that Kent is a grammar school area and there are lots of nice rural primary schools as well.

Pls someone tried using Lemonade but the verification process was tough, uploaded copy of driver's license and Eu passport but wasn't successful, pls what is the best means of identification for swift Verification..

NB, the person resides in the UK!

U.K residence permit
U.K drivers license
British passport
Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)

In my own case I uploaded just the BRP and Nigerian passport and was okay.

Is the Driver's Licence a european or british licence?

I hope this helps

I know of someone who traveled to 9ja with an expired pp and also took copies of the renewal receipt and acknowledgement, booking confirmation etc and this was fine, they entered and came back ok, they did not even need to 'settle' on entry to 9ja. Although they only needed their British pp to re-enter the UK so I don't know if the case will be different for visa holders etc.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
Did you mean an expired Nigerian passport?

Open account with Lemonade, transfer the naira to yours Lemonade naira account then from there to your pounds account.

I use Lemonade Finance to send money to Africa. You get 10.00 GBP when you verify your account and send over 100.00 GBP with my referral link - https://referral.lemonade.finance/invite/X6dT

Use UREFRABA as referral code.

Thanks. Sorted. Appreciated

Greetings Fam. Please any advice and info would be deeply appreciated.

Been in Glasgow for close to a year now.
Wifey and 2 kids are coming to join me in all likelihood by the end of the year.
I am doing a PhD which I am sponsored. My scholarship funding wont be enough for us obviously for the next 3 years or more duration.
When she comes she will need to assist with work to be able to cater for the extra bills and mouths.
She is looking to do care work during her time here, but she does not have medical or care background, apart from taking care of sick old parents in Nigeria. Her primary background is Telecoms and Customer Care
Is there any advice that will enable her get an edge in her care application when she applies eventually?
is there anything (course maybe) that she can do to boost her chances in the next 2 to 3 months before she travels from Nigeria?
Is there anything I myself can do to ease her work chances from over here in Glasgow?

Quick question please, who knows where I can get a covid PCR test done quickly. A friend needs it to travel to Nigeria from Glasgow and he claims it has to be done 48 hours before travel. He doesn't intend to spend more than £80 on this. Any pointers please?

P.S. his flight to Lagos from Heathrow is 28th December, the one from. Glasgow to Heathrow is on the 27th. It's tricky

No intention to derail. Just putting this out there for any help I can get.

Arrived Glasgow on the 27th of November, stayed at a B&B for some days before moving into a recommended friend's flat in Maryhill road G20 where I am paying 400 pounds/month for a room. This arrangement is just for a month as the original room owner is due back in the first week of January.

I am currently searching for a studio or one room in a flat to move in before January in Glasgow. I have searched all the relevant sites and found a few, and looks like I might be settling for a 600 pounds/month room in G1 cos of the aesthetics, flexibility of tenancy and proximity to the University of Strathclyde where I am doing my PhD, but it is quite pricey and was looking for something in the region of 400-500 pounds per month, and was hoping if anyone here has any information that might help. I would be most grateful
