People tend to use exchange rate to measure wealth,but you are wrong. Exchange rate is not and indices to measure standard of living. You measure standard of living using what is called PPP(Purchasing price/power parity). That is what is used to determine standard of living not exchange rate. There are people in Nigeria here who have never touched dollar or pounds in their life ,but have higher standard of living that so many of their counter parts abroad.

Quit this your japa mentality and build yourself here,there is honey and gold in Nigeria here. You can't convince someone like me to japa,I will rather go there to invest and return home just to spread my business nothing more.

But I'll say lack of information is what pushed many into the suffering they are passing through overseas.

Some are tricked my pictures they find online.

Some are tricked by a common lie that things are so easy abroad and you would be handed a dream job on your arrival.

Some think accommodation is easy to get and you would have made enough salary to pay house rent.
But they don't even realize that in some places rent is monthly and you pay light and water bills.
Nothing is free over unlike in Nigeria where you can get water for free

Dear sir/Ma It's quite exasperating to say the least at the rate in which admission seekers are being disregarded in our Educational system, to my dismay.

Despite the fact that the supposed students go through several rigorous examination like Jamb and the Post-Utme in an attempt to secure admission in their various University of choice, thereby, travelling from town to town in an attempt to meet the deadline of the exams, we still get treated as trash, simply because we want to be educated, much to my chagrin.

I am an aspirant of Unilorin and I reside in Lagos State. However, I'm in a great dismay and anxiety as I type this because I and my fellow aspirant are anxious as hell and we are tired of sitting at home doing nothing when we were supposed to be in school getting ready for the academic session.

We implore Unilorin to please release our admission list and let us be aware of our fate. The examination was conducted on the 16th of August and it's past a month now and we haven't heard anything from neither the school admin nor the admission officer, whereas, institutions like Unilag, Lasu, Uniben, OAU, and even Unibadan that wrote theirs less than two weeks ago had released their List and Thier students are getting ready for academic session; "why is ours different?"

I and my fellow aspirant have all decided that if the list fails to surface on Friday 2nd of October, we will resume the school alongside the staylites on the 5th of October. Therefore, the school should be aware that we have nothing against them, this is just the voice all Unilorin aspirant making the school aware of our opinion.

Had it been an explanation or a precise date that the admission list would be released was given, this tete-a-tete wouldn't have been necessitated vis-a-vis the admission saga.

I plead with Professor Ambali to please release our list, unless the school is planning to deprive the aspirants of their admission right, only then will you nor release our list this week.

Anyway,u r ryt,and it's not as if I don't appreciate it.Am just trying 2 make a point that every school is better.It's the students responsiveness towards learning that brings the shine of a school,and every school has good students as unilorin does.I went 2 unical and am as proud of it thesame way I am of unilorin 2.Infracstructurally speaking Unical is even more advanced than unilorin,with the biggest library in Africa.Every school has its glory.Hope u get my point.

Unilorin is one of the best school in Nigeria, but them dey mess up, no much merit in their admission system.
I tried them in 2011(i had 230 and 75, for microbiology in jamb and post jamb) yet no show..not even another course....not trying to discourage you guys but I'm trying to tell you that prayer is key to Unilorin

In my own case I'll finally turn to a big boss that I am meant to be, Unilorin should brace up....Coming to put the record straight! My biggest passion is seeking expression and Unilorin must feel tha vibe. Computer programming and entrepreneurship.

REASONS WHY I CHOSE UNILORIN

1. No skrike : I know the exact time I'll be graduating, which is prolly in August 2019. By God's special grace

2. Departmental structure: Most schools have their computer science department under mathematics department / faculty so you end up doing more of mathematics courses than programming. Unilorin is different, at least It's curriculum is in harmony with my love for programming.

3. Change of environment: There is a federal university just 30 minutes drive from my home in Gombe State and also Unilorin is not as half as beautiful as Gombe State university in terms of beauty, but I choose to travel all the way down, spending two days of journey from Gombe-Kaduna and kaduna-Ilorin. Travelling is part of knowledge and knowledge is part of power because power is essential for success.

4. Excellent taste: I have excellent taste in everything, I don't know how to settle for less. I go for the best because I want to be the best. I want to be able to aspire greatly and achieve the object of my attainments in a big way. I am a big dreamer and might be the most ambitious person you have ever seen, met or heard of.

5. Management optimism: Anytime I read news on the Unilorin's site, I have a feel of strong optimism from the VC in the quest to make Unilorin highly exceptional. I believe Unilorin will go places and break so many bounds in the nearest future. I rather be identified or associated with an ever advancing institution.

6. Inspiration: I like to be inspired at all times and the PS has a way of giving me some kind of rare inspiration

7. Entrepreneurship: Lastly, you guys should know that when we finally get there, all the years of my challenges, trials, failures, experiences will surely count in setting something that might start from school and blowup Africa. I know I am not suppose to say it but there is a power in the tongue and I am confident of what I may be about, because no experience, or knowledge good or bad is a waste. We've been hustling for years...plenty fruitless years!!! Now may be the time for us to utilize our past experiences and knowledge to make an impact. We have a lot to offer and we will surely step up the game, we are visionary dreamers and we will never give up.

This is me! Still expecting my admission alert on wednesday 9th! Na God get power pass.
