Alhasan1: Please don't panic and stay focused. Everybody will be cleared very soon(it's my opinion not from any staff o). I think many or even everybody has not been cleared( I think). And I will advise you to go back and check your information given on your clearance status if necessary because some did it for like 2/3 times last year but I did it once and was cleared without any problem. You and my brother are in the same shoe meaning that he is yet to be cleared too. I pray you have a good testimony to share this coming week.
For those waiting for any other list whatsoever, stay focused and be fervently prayerful. I believe if you are heavenly programmed this year, no one would stop that and believe that God's time is the best. I say God's time is the best because when you get there you would know that getting admission is not as good as being able to cope. I believe that it's all about time. Some were admitted last year who are not better than you staying at home because of what they have experienced. So, be pertinaciously determined. I think Yoruba proverb says many words do not fill a basket. A Chinese saying has it that discussing with an experienced person is worth more than ten years of education. This is to tell you that know whose success or experience would help you academically on campus. And don't feel any inferiority because "everybody is born with the same number of brain cells; regardless of race, gender or family background. No one has the right to be better than you until you give him/her the right to be" I believe you've got my message because as it is said that, 'when you say one the clever people understand three.Stay blessed!

To start with, I am an ardent follower of this thread, infact some followers can't match my time spent on this thread *roll eye*. For sometimes now, i'd prefered to pitch my tent to the viewers' conner, not as though i am not concerned, No! Infact, beyond what anybody can think of. The tenssion that rose in me shortly after the release of the first list was enough to power the entire nairaland community lol. So intensed to the xtent that even uptill the moment, occassionally, my heart beats profusely at any update of 'Ilorin palaver'. so much interest is being put on this admission! These are not the points anyway.
The real reasons i decided to brake the jinx are however becouse, since the whole things started, certain issues have been bordering me, and i think this thread will be of help, even beyond what 'Ambali' would've had to offer. The intellectuals in the building have, over the time, proved to me to be concised and factual in their reports, observatios nd info and most importantly helpful at the point of confussion (though some shafts in the grains, too, are visible, but remaining indifferent abt 'em setles that)
These bordering issues are however listed bellow for anyone with good and comprehensive knwledge of the any of them to kindly help in making them less puzzle.
1. Has any pol-sci aspirant been offered adm or better still, has any of social science's?
2. How long does it likely take to release the subsequent lists?
3. I'm using combined O'levels (i mean 2 results, NECO'08&'09 to be precised) what danger does this pose for my chances of getting adm?
4. Offa as origin but reside in Ogun state; How do i go abt 'C of O' as thr's no Ilorin liason office here?
5. 206/64% being my scores; what chance do i stand to get, not only admitted but also my choosen area of study- pol-sci?
I will appreciate it better if the responds can be constructive, comprehensive, i mean devoid of ambiguity, indepth-ly precised and most of all, not criticised.

to my own understanding ,I will answer your questions as ordered.
firstly, quite sure that at least one person has been given admission into ur depart(political science) and many into the faculty of social sciences. Don't judge base on this thread alone,as I do say nairaland constitutes a little fraction of unilorin aspirants. Political science,sociology,marketing etc are kinda competitive.
2, can't be precise about the 2nd list release date but history suggests that it will be released some days before or after the acceptance deadline of the 1st batch (21st sept).
3, so far ur O-level combination points towards same direction as ur course requirements, can't see any reason why that will be used against u.
4, sir, "u can't eat ur cake and still have it". U can't sit at home and hope certificate of state of origin will come to u by miracle. I advice u go to offa or nearest liason office very close to you (Lagos maybe)
5, u r good to go with ur utme/putme scores respectively. Prayer unlocks and locks.

i said this earlier, Nairaland is just a small fraction of where students are gathered. Dont judge based on this forum and people around you alone.Nigeria is bigger than you could ever imagine so as unilorin candidates.
