PoliticsThe Call For Secession Of North..what History Told Us. by MyX1(op): 8:52am On Jul 30, 2017
Most people don't bother to check up history.

They don't know that it was the core North that first wanted to secede from Nigeria. They went out in the streets with placards demanding for a country of their own. It was a great, popular move at the time.

That was the time that Gen.Ironsi was the head of state. It was the time that southern oil was not yet the mainstay of the economy. When the north felt that, for the first time, they were not in charge of the power structure.

Ironsi was the most senior and most educated officer at the time, so he took over by merit. This threatened the core North. They didn't like things to go on merit. They still don't like merit today. Merit threatens them.

So, they started calling for secession of Northern Nigeria. These calls for secession continued until Gowon, who was not the most senior officer, took over and even after.

The call for Northern secession continued until Britain, the perennial friends of the North, intervened to convince them against it.

With Gowon, said Britain, the North now has the yam and the knife so why should they secede? There is oil in the South that would soon bring prosperity, so why should the North miss out?

Instead, why don't they use Gowon to skew and tweak the country to enhance Northern dominance (read neo colonialism) and control the power structure of the country as well as the oil resources of the South ?

So the North dropped its quest for secession and settled for domination.

The creation of 12 states, the various constitutions since then, "federal character", quota system etc, are exercises in Northern domination.

You have to note that one of the first acts of Gowon, the North's instrument for installing dominance, was the creation of 12 states. This was essentially the introduction of our present parasitic federalism. The North, by that act, was targeting the oil in the South. They were giving up true federalism (where each region kept their resources and gave a token to the central government) for "national cake" federalism.

So when you hear an hausa - fulani man screaming 'one Nigeria', he means one Nigeria in which the present colonialism by the North continues unabated.

Take away oil, take away quota system, bring in merit in schools and employment, bring in a truly fiscal federalism, give every section EQUAL opportunity to the reins of power at the centre ;and you would immediately see the core Northerner change his song of 'one Nigeria'.

PoliticsThe Population Fraud In Nigeria. by MyX1(op): 6:10pm On Jul 09, 2017
THE POPULATION FRAUD IN NIGERIA.

1. Saudi Arabia is the headquarters of the Islamic religion. They practice the religion to the core . In fact the holiest Islamic site is there . They practice polygamy . Mortality rate there is low . Standard of living and health condition there is very excellent and they are very wealthy They have access to the sea on all sides . Have land mass of 2,149,000 sqkm.
There POPULATION as at 2015 = 28 million of which, 8 million are foreigners .

2. Nearer home in Africa . Our next door neighbors up north is Chad . Land mass of Chad is 1,280,000sqkm. They are almost 100% an Islamic state with the same culture , religion, agrarian and animal husbandry profession and even ethnicity as our brothers in the Northern part of Nigeria . They marry many wives too . But with a population of 13 million people . Ndjamena there capital city nearer the Chadian basin and rivers have population of 700,000 .

3 Our other neighbor Niger Republic , with a landmass of 1,270,000 sqkm , who share the same culture , language , ethnicity , agrarian and animal husbandry profession and religious practice that allows polygamy like our brothers up north has a population of 18m people .

4, Now fast forward to NORTHERN NIGERIA , with a land mass of 614,000 sqkm. Which is a quarter of that Saudi Arabia . Half of that of Chad and Niger. With very much higher mortality rate than Saudi Arabia . Ravaged by poverty and disease with one of the worst health care system in the world . No access to any river , sea or body of water like Saudi Arabia, yet someone want me to believe that they have 90million human beings living there .

Now wait for the bigger contradiction , Benue and Plateau states , the richest and greenest belt within the North does not have as great a population as their neighbours, who live in the arid desert . Haba! HOW? By what magic ? If you query them , they will tell you that there religion allow them to marry many wives . So how come your brothers in Chad that marry so many wives and who also live by the great lake Chad are not as populated as you are ? Common people .

Festus Odimegwu was on the verge of unraveling this mystery and exposing this grand fraud foisted on us by the Britishers , before Jonathan sacked him . That was one of the unforgettable and unforgiving sins of Jonathan against the Nigerian state .

Look around you , from Sudan to Mauriania to to Somalia to Egypt to Morroco, practicing Muslim countries in the Northern part of Nigeria and Africa with the same polygamous religious culture , some even with access to the sea, far greater land mass and healthier and richer health conditions . Check out their population.

Please kindly review the factors that influence the population of a given region or location at any time (it is an assignment) and tell me what you get .

I have a friend , who is a pilot . He has flown the length and breadth of Nigeria . The guy is at a loss as to where the 90million people are hiding in the Northern part of Nigeria . He cannot understand the mystery .

It is this kind of unresolved mystery and fraud , that has continued to fuel the agitation of progressive folks for a total overhaul and restructuring of Nigeria . We cannot continue in these lies without resolving it . It is offensive , insulting and annoying for you to continue to throw a false and bogus population figure at my face. A figure that does not show at all in the bottom line . A figure that adds no much value to the common wealth .

Enough is Enough .

PoliticsIgbos Are Not Interested In Oil And Gas by MyX1(op): 2:59am On Jul 03, 2017
IGBOS ARE NOT INTERESTED IN OIL AND GAS

Egbema oil field and ogwuta oil and gas reserve is in IMO STATE and yet I have never heard any one from IMO STATE shouting we need our oil, the Government should give us 200% of our oil reserves. The are too busy with education, the don't even notice there is an oil and gas pipeline in there community.

Asaba in DELTA STATE have the largest oil and gas deposit in the STATE. And yet the Igbos from that region have never been interested in joining militants or even coming to facebook to shout we need our oil.

You hardly hear an ikwere man or better still iwhuruona man from RIVER STATE shout my oil, and yet one of the largest refinery in the country is located in there community.

An ABIA man who have several oil wells in his village will never mention oil in any of his discussion but rather mention ABA market and how he is trying to export his products to other countries.

An Anambra man who has the largest gas field and several oil wells in his village is busy traveling all over the world looking for the latest innovation and busy investing his time and resources in technology and manufacturing great products which can be found in virtually every home in the country.

In all this the Hausas and yorubas will still be saying igbos are interested in the oil of the NIGER DELTANS. If an Igbo man from oil producing communities have never vandalised his oil pipeline how do you now reach to conclusion that he is interested in the oil in ijaw land or urhobo land.

Is it not so disappointing and unfortunate that you keep shouting all over the social media that an Igbo man is fighting for Biafra because of oil.

If oil is the problem of the IGBOS don't you think no Igbo man will be in Maiduguri or yobe which is the power house of terrorists.

Do you think an Igbo man will be in ogun or Lagos if oil was his problem.

The fact that you are lazy and all your hopes are put in oil money does not mean that an Igbo man needs oil to survive.

Even if Biafra comes today, Igbos will not need to trade on oil because there are a million ways to make money in the country but lazy and blind people can never see it because they have made oil and gas their God.

It's a pity.

Appointment is now achievement?

No problem, just show us how Ndigbo benefitted from the appointment of individual Igbo sons and daughters.

It must also be said that Jonathan allowed Ihejirika, Oduah, Nnaji, Odimegwu etc to be humiliated so as to make others happy.

He gave us 2nd Niger Bridge on concession but paid for similar bridges elsewhere.

You can rave and rant that Jonathan appointed Igbo born folks into this and that position but the point you missed, as usual, Reno Omokri. Is that Ndigbo gave Jonathan EVERYTHING they had in 2011.

We died for him in the north in large numbers even after voting for him with average of 92% among Ndigbo of south east, south west, south south and northern Nigeria.

Who the hell owe the other? Which other ethnic group did that for him?

If all you can point to are appointments of Igbo folks who are very qualified then you are confirming that Jonathan did nothing worthwhile for us. Those appointees you named served him and his administration better than others. Did any of them betray him? Even when many of his kinsmen were fighting him here and there we stood by him.

It is insulting to tell us that our reward was appointments. We wanted our roads fixed like that of others. We wanted our bridges constructed like that of others. We wanted unity school quota and discrimination abolished. We wanted even our appointees like Ihejirika, Barth Nnaji, Odimegwu etc to be protected from hawks. They were all sacrificed by Jonathan. Yet we voted for him again. Without thinking twice.

But he sat there and approved Boko Haram suspects to be parceled to us.

Are we going to carry Jonathan like a luggage all our lives? What more can you do for a man that is more than the lives we lost for electing him president?

People should stop writing thrash. Jonathan owe Ndigbo much more than we can ever owe him.

Yet in his midterm report we received the least capital projects allocation in Nigeria. Come to the east and see the state of federal road infrastructure after Jonathan and stop insulting us.

Of course we don't care about Buhari either because that one treats us with total disdain. No Igbo man is expecting anything good from him. We couldn't have voted for him and will still not vote for him. Jonathan treated us much better and without disdain but did nothing for us that was commensurate with our support and sacrifices.

Reno Omokri and the FFK he mentioned were beneficiaries of Jonathan. We were contributors to the making of President Jonathan and we paid with our blood, votes and money.

Show us some respect by not writing nonsense because of whatever our son Nnamdi said or was purported to have said. Nnamdi enjoys democratic freedom of speech and interpreting his position as that of Ndigbo is an attempt at idiocy that I have come to expect from those who are removed from reality but have the gift of garb.

Nnamdi Kanu is the head of an organization called IPOB. Ndigbo are a major ethnic group in Nigeria and not all Igbo are IPOB members, even if all IPOB members are Igbo born.

Nonsense!!

It is Reno Omokri that needs to learn a lesson that there is a difference between sacrificing for Jonathan and benefiting from Jonathan. Himself and FFK benefited from Jonathan. We sacrificed for Jonathan and should be respected as a people.

Plan to make Osinbajo president will fail - Arewa youths tell Yoruba leaders

A coalition of Arewa Youths have accused Yoruba leaders of paving way for Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to become Nigeria's president. The coalition in a statement signed by its Muhammed Shehu and Tanko Abdullahi said the Yoruba leaders are out to discredit the North in order for Osinbajo to become the president. The duo said after the coalition's meeting in Daura, Kastina state, the group has come to the conclusion that it will resist every plan of the Yoruba leaders.
The coalition said it will ensure that the Northern region completes its eight-year tenure irrespective of whatever happens. “We shall resist every of such plans and ensure by all means possible, that the north completes its eight-year tenure and possibly even continue after then, and that the federal structure of Nigeria as it currently is, is not tampered with by secession mongers and their collaborators," the coalition said. The coalition which claims to speak for all the youth in the North said the Yoruba's have proved to be the 'most ungrateful stock in Nigeria'.
"Having given power to the Yoruba on a platter of gold in 1999 as a way of compensating them for the June 12 saga, it is quite worrisome and unfortunate that they have lived up to their legendary reputation of backstabbing and betrayal by supporting the divisive calls for restructuring or dismemberment of the nation against the will and desire of the north," the statement said. "We gave the late Chief MKO Abiola the mandate in 1993 but shortly after that, as it is with the Yoruba as a culture, they immediately started circling around Abiola plotting on how to emasculate the north and strip us of every access we had to the politics and economy of this nation. “They had also raised a secret army of their elites to carry out these sinister plans against the north if Abiola eventually became president. It was this army that was unleashed on the nation in the guise of NADECO during the June 12 impasse.
May we remind the Yoruba that without the willingness and magnanimity of the north, there was no way Abiola could have purportedly won that election, and that all the Yoruba have now as assets in the south west, especially Lagos, were given to them by our leaders out of our own usual magnanimity. However, time and time again, the Yoruba have always turned their back on us whenever their support is needed. They have chosen to pitch tent with the Igbo this time around just to spite us, but we shall not succumb to their antics," the coalition added.
NAIJ.com had reported that the leader of another Arewa group, the Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) Shettima Yerima has promised to turn himself in once appropriate security agencies declares him wanted. Shettima reacting to reports that he had gone into hiding in Chad said: “I did not go into hiding and will never go into hiding. We need to put the record straight. For now, nobody is looking for me and I am ready to submit myself if I am called. I am not a joker. "Nobody is looking for me and I am not hiding anywhere from anybody. I am in my village, I am a Nigerian. If anybody looks for me, I will submit myself. I am not above the law. I am not on the run.”

PoliticsFajuyi, Nnamdi Kanu, And The Virtue Of Loyalty.g by MyX1(op): 7:44am On Apr 28, 2017
Fajuyi, Nnamdi Kanu, and the Virtue of Loyalty

I have refrained from commenting on the tangled politics of Biafra and the merchandising of a people's tragedy. Biafra has caused millions of people untold pain and misery but also put millions of naira into the pockets of some people. On the Biafran question, the empty grandstanding by a few loudmouths is as nauseating as the servile betrayals by some Efulefus of Igbo extraction. Amidst this drama in the marketplace of ideas, it is often difficult to make rational arguments on matters concerning Biafra.

Nigeria is like a bus in which the driver, conductor, and the passengers are violently quarreling among themselves as they struggle for the ignition key and are undecided about their destination. The bus moves an inch forward and 4 inches backward. The occupants scream and yell at one another. Nigeria is a bedlam.

The foundations of the country, be it the Constitution, style of politics, vision or lack thereof, constituent parts, et cetera are simply inarticulate, faulty, and dubious. The 1999 Constitution, drafted by Gen. Abdul Salaam Abubakar, is an obvious lie. Its opening statement "We the People" is a big lie. We should know that. And that partly explains why the country is not a nation.

And so I come to Nnamdi Kanu, a blowhard transformed into a hero in these parts! Wonderful. I have always held the view that the arrest and continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu is unnecessary, heavy-handed, and a tragic mistake. There is nothing Nnamdi Kanu has said which others haven't said in several fora. Locking him up adds unwanted tension in a country already on the edge of the precipice.

Inasmuch as I disagree with Nnamdi Kanu's proposition for an exit of Biafra from Nigeria, I defend his right to say his mind. Like every Nigerian, Nnamdi Kanu has a right to say wise or even foolish things. Personally, I think that the argument for the exit of Biafra from Nigeria is intellectually misconceived, practically foolish, and economically suicidal for the Igbos.

I must however doff my hat for Nmamdi Kanu's loyalty to his loyalists and co-travelers in detention. To reject his bail conditions on the ground that the same conditions were not extended to his co-accused and allies is charming and worthy of commendation. He has refused to sell his followers down the river. More power to him. Loyalty is a virtue.

And this brings me to Col. Fajuyi, a brave man and a loyal soul who paid the supreme price in loyalty to his guest and boss, General Ironsi. Col. Fajuyi preferred to die with General Ironsi rather than abandon Ironsi, a guest in his house, to those who wanted to kill him.

To our "bread and butter" politicians who change political loyalties, switch alliances, and somersault from their beliefs at the sight of "Ghana-must-Go" bags of naira or "tickets" to electoral posts, or political appointments, I say, please pause for a moment and look up the word loyalty in a dictionary. Loyalty means something, a lot, if you ask me.
CrimePolice Killed A Young Man In Aba!!! by MyX1(op): 1:32pm On Mar 19, 2017
BREAKING NEWS! !

POLICE KILLED A YOUNG MAN IN ABA! !!

A young man who has been identified as Chinedu Peter, was reportedly shot deadby a Police Officer, Ibe Uchenna, just in front of Christ the King Cathedra(C.K.C) Asa road, Aba, while coming back from an eatery with his girlfriend. It is alleged that the Police Officer refused taking the man who he shot to the hospital, and reportedly dumped him somewhere else after he had washed off hisblood from the Police patrol van.

However family members of the deceased, who were told that the Police man who killed their son has been apprehended and taken to Umuahia, the State's capital, says they don't believe what the Police spokesman is saying. Here's what Peter Unekwe who shared the story wrote;"His names was Chinedu Peters, a resident of Aba and he was the bread winner of his family. On 11th of March 2017, he was coming back from eatery joint with his girlfriend name withheld. The police on duty in front of Christ the King Cathedra(C.K.C) Asa road, Aba stopped the vehicle he was inside and ordered all of them to come out, they obeyed and all came out, they were asked to lay down on the floor which they also did.

Few minutes later the police men told the only Hausa man in their midst to stand up and leave with reason best known to them, Mr Chinedu out of anger stood up to ask questions why they have to release the Hausa man and not all of for the fact they didn't get anything incriminating in them. One police man among them by name IBE UCHENNA ordered him to lie down or he will shoot him, he refused that he will only obey when the Hausa man is brought back, that was how he wasshoot by someone that was suppose to protect him. He was lying down helpless crying for them to take him to hospital, instead they took him in their van and dumped him in a location they think people will not find out, took their car for a wash to cover their crime without knowing that the girlfriend was with him.

The girlfriend returned home and explained how this young and vibrant man was shot, in the next morning guys from his area and his brother went to CPS to lodgea complain but was told by the police that they don't know about such incident. His family and friend set for a search party, and his dead body was found this morning 18th March 2017.

They want back to the police for the police to tell themthat the police Man that shot him IBE UCHENNA is now in detention in Umuahia. We all know how corrupt this country Nigeria is when it comes to issues of security operatives, if no serious action is taken his blood spill will be a waste coshe will not get justice. That's why we decided to go public so this our brother can get justice. Please I plead with everyone in this family to helps us and share this tragic incident until it get to the right people that will intervene and give him justice. The painful part was this guy was shot and killed by an Igbo brother for the sake of Hausa man. Impeach Yar'Adua now, Buhari tells lawmakers

From ISMAIL OMIPIDAN, Kaduna, Sun Newspapers
(Wednesday, March 10, 2010 )

Former Head of State, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has declared that the only solution to present political uncertainty in the country is for the National Assembly to set machineries in motion for the impeachment of ailing President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua. The 2003 and 2007 presidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) made the declaration yesterday while addressing members of the National Unity Forum (NUF) which had visited him in Kaduna.

The forum led by Alhaji Maigida Musa Abdu had from last week began visiting notable northern leaders to seek their opinions on how best to handle the Yar'Adua mess and at the same time ensuring that the region does not lose out completely in the power equation, especially as the country approaches 2011.

For instance, when it met with former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Yusuf, last week, the former police boss seized the occasion to call on the north to ensure that it produced 'credible and acceptable replacement' for Yar'Adua in 2011 presidential election.

Incidentally, like Buhari, the former police boss is also from Katsina State, like Yar'Adua. And Daily Sun can authoritatively reveal that until the president took ill, Dikko was one of his honorary advisers.

But unlike Dikko, Buhari was more forthcoming when he further said the Federal Executive Council must save the nation from the current agony by declaring the president incapacitated to pave the way for his impeachment.

He further argued that Nigeria, as a nation, should not have been in the present situation if the provisions of the constitution were respected by the leadership of the country, insisting that the constitution has specific provisions on how an ailing president could be succeeded, even as he noted that the refusal by the FEC to respect and apply the constitutional provisions had led to the present crisis in the country.

In an apparent reference to the resolution passed by the National Assembly, which empowered Goodluck Jonathan to function as an acting president, the former head of state noted that it was wrong to introduce extra-constitutional measures to tackle problems already addressed by the constitution.

To this end, he stressed that the joy of political expediency would never replace clear laid out regulations spelt out by the laws of the land, adding that 'political expediency won't remedy this kind of problem because if the FEC had acted in accordance with the constitution by invoking the necessary sections to declare the president incapacitated, we would not have found ourselves in this present situation.

'As you can see, adopting extra-constitutional measures have not addressed the problem. If it had, we would not have been subjected to the raging debates and controversy going on. So we must go back to the constitution. The exco must do the right thing because once we start moving away from the constitution, then we are inviting anarchy,' Buhari added.

He also called on the acting president to make electoral reform the priority of his government, saying that he has a feeling Nigerians would stand up for the truth and reject any imposition, or any government that wins election through 'unfair' means in 2011.

While maintaining that unless free and fair polls are conducted next year, both the polity and the country would not be stabilized, the former military leader further said the first measure of commitment to the electoral reform agenda was to reorganize INEC and make it more effective.

He said INEC, as presently constituted, could not give Nigerians what they need in 2011, given what happened during the recent governorship elections in Anambra State.

Christianity EtcThe Truth About Christmas. by MyX1(op): 8:39am On Dec 25, 2016
The Truth About Christmas

DO YOU care about spiritual truth? If so, then perhaps you have asked these questions: (1) Was Jesus actually born on December 25? (2) Who were the “wise men,” and were they really three in number? (3) What sort of “star” led them to Jesus? (4) What does Santa Claus have to do with Jesus and his birth? (5) How does God view the Christmas custom of giving gifts or, to be more precise, exchanging gifts?

Let us now consider these questions in the light of the Bible and historical facts.

(1) Was Jesus Born on December 25?

The custom: According to tradition, Jesus’ birth took place on December 25 and is celebrated on that date. “Christmas,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion, means “‘Christ’s Mass,’ that is, the mass celebrating the feast of Christ’s nativity,” or birth.

Its roots: “The establishment of December 25 evolved not from biblical precedent,” says The Christmas Encyclopedia, “but from pagan Roman festivals held at year’s end,” about the time of the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Those festivals included the Saturnalia, in honor of Saturn, god of agriculture, “and the combined festivals of two sun gods, the Roman Sol and the Persian Mithra,” says the same encyclopedia. Both birthdays were celebrated on December 25, the winter solstice according to the Julian calendar.

Those pagan festivals began to be “Christianized” in the year 350, when Pope Julius I declared December 25 to be Christ’s birthday. “The Nativity gradually absorbed or supplanted all other solstice rites,” says the Encyclopedia of Religion. “Solar imagery came increasingly to be used to portray the risen Christ (who was also called Sol Invictus), and the old solar disk . . . became the halo of Christian saints.”

What the Bible says: The Bible does not give Jesus’ birth date. But we can safely conclude that he was not born on December 25. How so? The Bible tells us that when Jesus was born, shepherds were “living out of doors” tending their flocks at night in the vicinity of Bethlehem. (Luke 2:cool The cold, rainy season usually began in October, and shepherds—especially in the colder highlands, such as those around Bethlehem—brought their sheep into protected shelters at night. The coldest weather, sometimes accompanied by snow, occurred in December. *

Significantly, the early Christians, many of whom had accompanied Jesus in his ministry, never celebrated his birth on any date. Rather, in harmony with his command, they commemorated only his death. (Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) Still, some may say, ‘Does the pagan connection really matter?’ The answer? It does to God. “The true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth,” said Jesus Christ.—John 4:23.
