Exactly the GDPof west Africa is 750 billion dollars and the GDP of East Africa is about 320 billion dollars. So do your rally want to compare, even the population of west Africa is much larger then that of East Africa.
When you take out Nigeria from the Equation you are left with $250b as you regional gdp unlike EA not matter which country you remove from the equation the GDP will fall back to about $200b. WA is only bragging because of Nigeria apart from that, nothing.

What is the average cost of a house in Tanzania?

For $50000 you can build a spacious three bedroom house with a kitchen, sitting room and a dinning room. The price gets low outside the city.

Fair comment, I simply gave my opinion!
If we look at per capita basis i think that Tanzania could be doing a better job with is $60b than Nigeria with $500b, Nigerian, when was the last time you went a straight week without power cuts...

Well when you take to the account that Kenya is a quarter of you population then Nigeria should be celebrating, EAC nations still have a higher agricultural output per capita than you guys.

More and it’s spread out from Bauchi to borno, to cross river to ogun state. Nigeria is building 500 000- 1 million housing units every year, this will continue till 2050 to meet housing demand that is probably more houses than Tanzania will build in the next 5 years, we would do it in one year
Tanzania doesn't have a housing shortage so we build houses on demand. And with the middle class still rising, most of the houses are being built by individuals not the government as in your case.

did i mention EAC or mention geography.

I corrected your ill informed attempt to place Madagascar in East Africa.

when did Malawi become part of that convo?
I said east African countries range from Eritrea to Madagascar, meaning all this countries in between are termed as East African nations. From what i understood you disputed Madagascar being in East Africa so i posted a screenshot that show that it is in East Africa and I added Malawi so that you could see to what geographical extent a nation can be termed as an East African nation.

Don't see yourself so important here.
Kenya which is the ''father'' of East Africa Countries cant beat Ghana nor Nigeria in development wise.
If Kenya were to be in West Africa, like your position will be at 3rd and 4th position,

The EAC is a model for Africa btw in case you didnt now. Used to have same currency, public service, anthem, etc.
we have the same anthem, passport and court system. We are moving forward in terms of currency and standardizing education, health care and building connecting transport infrastructures.

EAC was established in 1967 before it was dissolved and reestablished...
You haven't achieved sh*t...and you are nowhere close to achieving sh*t..

That's why other East African countries prefer to join SADC.. at least under SADC they can benefit from South Africa...
hahahaha, the only East African country that is part of SADC is Tanzania and that is cause of its border neighbors and the ties going back to the liberation struggle. Tanzania was part of the founders of SADC so as to reduce Southern Africas dependence on the SA ports. After apartheid ended SA also joined the trade block. And Tanzania didn't have to be part of SADC to gain anything because she could have easily set good individual trade deals with the SADC countries but she is there in good spirit of African Unity and Pan-Americanism.

My bad. Some of these small things escape me. Ask me about bigger things like the local cluster or bootes void I have them at my finger tips. But some of those like Somalia and Ethiopia are considered horn of Africa. Anyway, the issue here is that Africa is not a perfect shape. A nation can fall anywhere within the four directions. Eg Mozambique can be considered east African or southern African.
there is East Africa as the geography of the continent and East Africa as the trade block. The trade block has 6 members while geographically countries from Eritrea to Madagascar are in East Africa.

Okay you have good central business districts, but what about the percentage of the population that lives in slums, outside of Kigali, Rwanda is very poor, Nairobi, Mombasa, eldoret and kisumu all have quite big slums, same applies to dar es salaam, the average person is living in a shack or a dilapidated house.
Actually poor people in Dar es salaam don't live in shack but rather poor planned housing areas. During the population boom in Dar es salaam a lot of land owner in poor neighborhood elected new buildings in congested spaces giving it the "slum" look.

GDP (nominal) sub-Sahara according to IMF - Kenya now the 3rd - Ghana bigger than Tanzania. Big asterik on that - and of course Nigeria overcooked data.
This is just an estimate, the AfDB estimates that the Tanzanian economy grew by 6% compared to the 2% stated by the IMF while also some sources state that the Tanzania GDP per of Q1 is at around 60 billion USD, plus, with the Covid thing we have to wait for the financial year to end and a proper economic assessment to be made before concluding.

Very laughable. The total budget is known. The breakdown is unknown to the public but not to budget offices, parliament security committees, etc ect. The security budget generally is un-audited publicly - but still audited - which KaziKazi has explained could lead to corruption. Your misunderstand opaqueness.

When you talk about coups - what will Kenya or Tanzania say - countries that have never had any successful coup.

In most modern democracies (exclude Ghana) - including Kenya - the security budget is still somewhat audited - verified - but parliament and audit office that swear to secrecy - and there is civilian authority of the military.

Now if you country has a rogue security sector that is un-supervised - and have a budget - nobody - not even parliament knows about - then no wonder you're just little Nigeria in the number of coups.

What I have seen whith most countries including Tanzania, there is a parliamentary committee on intelligence and security which receive a report from the auditor general about military spending. The President, Minister of Defense and the interior ministers all receive reports depending on their jurisdiction. The President's office and the parliament committee on security and intelligence receives reports from all the security organs in the country, although not made public these two can question and scrutinize the report and advice the government (President ) on what to do based on the report.

In the last pic, only kenya military special forces uses that kind of a gun (FN SCAR ) in Africa and very few countries in the world,in the USA, navy seals own it.
True, but most countries don't buy it cause its too expensive and there are other options such as the HK416 or AK12 depending on the nations previous inventory. Its a good rifle but most tier 1 spec ops units prefer HK416 while in Africa the Galil Ace which can fire AK rounds with great accuracy while being cheap and easy to maintain. So in short there is nothing special about the FN SCAR

As far as rest of the world knows Tanzania is not part of HIPC, maybe in the late 1990s or early 2000s cause from 2000 Tanzania gdp has more than tripled. You can confirm by doing a very simple Wikipedia search.

Paris club - is IMF, WB kinda of loans - IMF, WB, IDB are multilateral - you know who own each - if you owe WB - then you owe the US of A 20% - now Paris club is mostly bilateral loan to rich nations - and get called when you're struggling - and they decide who takes the hit. You can say these are bilateral donors - but IMF, WB, ADB - sit in Paris club - because they are also owed.

London club - is for private lending - if you like Tanzania borrow a commercial loan to build a railway and COVID-19 come in - and South African bank come for your pound of flesh - you call for London club. Those are not very forgiving. That is why Tanzania's stupidity is legendary. Nigeria got away with murder because well nobody like poverty and Nigerians will emigrate and spread poverty..but borrowing from commercial debt is a VERY SERIOUS business that can mess you Argentina style. Imagine Tanzani asking a South African bank to forgive 1B dollars smiley smiley

For public lending/creditor(Paris Club) - the loser is just a tax payer of rich nation who has to yet again subsidize Nigeria - but commercial loan(Londo n club) is someone lifetime savings or pension on the line.

Is this coming from a country that just took $1b to boost its budget?? Tanzania's economy is running well and we didn't need to take a loan to keep our economy running. Tanzania takes loans for development projects knowing fully well that she can service them from her tax collections alone.

Tanzania debt is at $23b with is like 32% of the nations gdp and with a monthly tax collection of about $500b per month she spends $300b each month to service her debts, if she does not take any new loans, Tanzania would be loan free in about 6.5 years. Also, Tanzania took a commercial loan to partly fund the railway, most of the funds where already allocated by the government, that was done so that we would have be take some buggas deal just to build a railway which is very important to the nation.

grin grin that will be extremely difficult
Did you know Nakuru town in kenya has more road overpasses/flyovers than the entire nation of Tanzania
in fact they just got their first flyover since independence in 2018

You build infrastructure depending on the need. Dar es salaam didn't need a flyover because of the amount of cars and road network did not require flyovers. With a population boom in Dar es salaam, new infrastructures were built to facilitate the population increase including new feeder roads, flyovers, BRT as well as expansion of preexisting roads. No one in their right minds builds a flyover for show. Look at Paris, no flyovers is it less developed?

Yes, it very likely, they will get another debt forgiveness soon. The world doesn't like a poor Nigeria breeding Boko haram, immigration, international crime, and drug trafficking. To some extent they are smartly hopeless. Multilateral and bilateral loans are more AID than real debt.

What I really pity is Tanzania and Ghana who have taken lots of commercial debt. If they get into turbulence - and say South African bank is being asked to let go of a billion dollars. Ohoo men they will demand an Island!! or start seizing embassies, airplanes and anything written Tanzania and sell it.

Countries like Ghana, Zambia, and now Tanzania when they get rejected by multilateral or bilateral donors - they rush to commercial banks - and get loans - and start building nonsense - and then they fail to pay - and they go Argentina way.

Not quite in the case of Tanzania because the government has set up a paying plan for all its debts. Tanzania spends over $200 mil per month in repaying debts, and most of the cash comes from revenue collection from fruits of projects that they borrowed before. The Tanzanian Revenue Authority collects over $500 mil a month that is apart from the government royalties in minerals and profits from companies that government has shares on, so Tanzanian debts are highly manageable for now and the near future. And most of the big infrastructure projects that Tanzania has undergone will boost trade thus more revenues so Tanzania isn't building nonsense.

So killing tribe is forcing everyone to speak swahili..dude i know Tz an can tell you tribalism is rife..you can even pick the opposition tribes from the ruling party ..
anyway kazikazi its stupid to kill your tribe coz the next thing is to become a slave to another one.. cheesy
Tanzania hasn't killed tribes but rather killed tribalism. Tanzanian joke about people from other tribe and we refer to people from nearby tribes as "Watani". We do jokingly atribute peoples behavior whith their tribal cultures like the Chagga being stingy with money and the Haya being smart or the Digo from Tanga being good in bed but what we don't do as a nation is putting a persons tribe as an important piece of identity for me to socialize or get help from me. That is why when you look at Kenya as a study point (not bashing any of my Kenyan neigbours) the Kenyan presidency has been shared by men from the Kikuyu tribe with an exception of Moi who comes from a political minority tribe but when you look at Tanzania Nyerere (zanaki of Mara), Mwinyi(Pemba), Mkapa (Makua of Ruvuma), Kikwete (kwere of Bagamoyo) and now Magufuli (Sukuma of Chato). Tanzania are proud of their tribe but tribes aren't that big of a thing in day to day life, its more like an appendix its there but not that important

Do you know how quality tests are done? You dont test every kit. You simply grab a test kit from a bale containing many and see if its faulty, the assumption being if it is, then the whole bunch is. The single kit you test could be faulty but the rest in its bale are not or vice versa, the whole bale could be faulty except the one you test. There's no 100 %. The only way to ascertain would be multiple tests, which is why in Kenya for instance for you to be declared cured you must have a minimum of two consecutive negative tests.

Anyway, your country continues to be a threat to all its neigbors. Yesterday, we confirmed 47 cases positive, 23 of whom were Tanzanians (thats half!). Today, we tested 8 Tanzanians positive out of 21 positive cases. Continue celebrating the firing of your lab executives instead of supporting them to help you combat the virus.
Who is celebrating? And also when you get a test kit from the manufacturer they will incuìlude the information on the Quality control tests that they have done, if you order a large shipment of 20 boxes containing 100 packs which have maybe 25 kits each, i is normal to randomly take one pack and examine the kits inside to make sure they have the accuracy that the manufacturer said, you just don't take one, you must include a large test sample.
