Hello Sabi mamas ...I'm officially logging in for another journey again. I'm team march.... currently 15 weeks +. Biko where are my team members o...let me fall in . I need warm hugs Biko cos nausea, spitting, heartburn and vomiting are still dealing with me. |
Babygal2020:thanks for your response. There was no bleeding or swelling. |
Hi mama,I feel so terrible today. My 5 month old fell down from the bed today,im still amazed at how it happened cos I just checked on him few minutes before I left him alone and he was well positioned at the centre of the bed, only for me to hear him crying,I quickly came to know why he was crying and I saw him on the floor. The floor is tiled.I administered paracetamol to him and vit c.Do I still need to do something else? |
FloraEC:Please what about the breast milk cos I heard it has enough water in it. |
angeltolly:Thanks for your response |
Good evening mamas....I'm currently in the omugwo phase,my baby is just 3 weeks old and my mom insist on giving him water cos he's on breast milk and formula. She said the formula will make him thirsty and make him crave water. This is much to my disapproval though but to prevent any misunderstanding (u know mothers na),I let her give him water but my heart is still not at rest. Question is,does giving water this early have any side effect and also will there be any side effect if I stop giving him water ? |
mzchirious:Praise Jesus!.....I successfully welcomed my lo on the 18th...a lot would have gone wrong if I had waited longer but Jesus took the wheel and it ended in praise....I had an emergency CS as labour wasn't still coming.....I'm officially signing out from team May. All the best mamas, you will deliver safely in Jesus name.Amen |
lioha:Wow,congrats to you,may your prince bring you all the joy you have hoped for...we were both way past our due date and now yours has ended in praise,I also pray and believe that mine will end in praise soon too and I will announce my BA soon. I still have no signs of labour after all the rigorous exercises, and I am almost 10 days past my edd. Infact,I cried my eyes out yesterday out of frustration as a first time mom who have heard horrible things about induced labour as it is seeming that induction of labour may be inevitable for me. I just surrendered all to God regardless of the process of child birth and just pray that mother and baby will make it out safe and sound. |
angeltolly:Hmmm....me I have passed my due date, yet no signs of labour at all, regardless of the numerous dates, pineapples I have been eating and exercise too. Seems I may be medically induced this week and induction has been one of my worst fears...God will see us all through. |
zaynie:God bless you...I'm really relieved...in eating loads of pineapples now and praying my body does the needful...I'm already 4 days past and worry didn't dilate my cervix...so I'll stop worrying and channel that energy to praying and exercising.Thanks. |
Good morning Sabi mamas,I'm gone past all my due dates already, and I was told to go for a membrane sweep to see if it can kick start labour in some hours time or even some days, well,it didn't kick start anything cos I still haven't had any signs of labour for days now. My concern now is that fear is beginning to creep into my mind which I have been trying to avoid.During the membrane sweep, the doctor didn't even insert his full hand and I was already wriggling in pains,so it made me realize that perhaps my vagina is still extremely tight. I thought as u approach your due date,it starts to loosen up to accommodate a baby's head during child birth. Please experienced mothers, enlighten me,does a tight vagina expand during childbirth most especially when one does not engage in frequent sex when pregnant? Fear is already creeping in and I've been trying to avoid fear as I'm close to deliver and cos I hear it makes things worse. |
Hi Sabi mamas, pls how does breast milk production work?....I'm almost 39 weeks and still yet no leakage of fluid from the breast and I hear that sometimes immediately after birth the mother has to breastfeed.Does breast milk production start on that day of delivery then or before? If it's before, are there meals one can start eating to boost it? |
Liftedhands:This was quite insightful,I guess I'll just keep eating normal, praying and hoping for the best.Yes,I'm scared of tears as a first time mom but I'll try the exercise you mentioned and leave the rest to God.....Thanks to everyone who responded,Corona free kisses to you all |
Good morning Sabi Mamas, how's the waddling going? ; ....I have been meaning to ask,how can one use Lipton to reduce the size of a baby (will it be taken with milk or just plain),also I'm team may (shout-out to all may Mamas ) so will it still be effective if I start now?tho I don't know the size of my baby as I haven't been able to go to do a scan due to this lock down and I'm 36 weeks already so I'm just sizing it from the size of my baby bump(lol). Please Sabi mamas, this post should not be self-isolated ,your response(s) will really be appreciated.thanks |

redsocks:I don't think bleeding is normal in pregnancy, though it happens to some women but it is not a symptom that one should look forward to in pregnancy...if this is your first pregnancy, the firmness of the lower abdomen may not be so firm always I think...I'm also a ftm so I may not have much experience about how a bump should be as we all have different bodies... try and re-do the scan elsewhere and hear their verdict...happy bumping to us. |
Mzora:Wow,why will you do that?...please stay very far away from unripe pawpaw and pineapple as they make the uterus contract and could lead to miscarriage or preterm labour...so we were told at my antenatal class....if you crave it,just try to suppress it till after 9 months. |
UnknownQueen:this isn't the group for you ma...in here,we rejoice about being pregnant and also seek advice on the right things to do to ensure that our babies are fine. From your write up,you evidently wanted to get pregnant considering when you had sex and also not taking any precaution the prevent it.For a mom of 2 already, you should know things to do to avoid pregnancy. |
mzchirious:ok I was able to go to the hospital first thing this morning and the doctor tried to conduct an evaluation on me to rule out incompetent cervix but mehn my face changed o as I have heard how painful it can be coupled with the fact that I was already experiencing hot pain there already..I had to plead with him for an alternative as my body wasn't ready for more pain..so he said I should do a scan that can also give him the full details on the position of my cervix.I did the scan and was told that the baby is fine, the cervix is closed and there is nothing unusual (ThankGod)...it was concluded that the severe pain I am experiencing is as a result of the uterus enlarging to accommodate the growing fetus. The doctor then proceeded to give me a higher pain medication (tramadol) |
Liftedhands:I am unable to sleep this night,I am experiencing serious cramps like the cramps associated with period but no spotting or bleeding thankfully,I was told that at my stage of pregnancy that the uterus is expanding to accommodate the growing fetus but I didn't thinks it will be this painful both in my abdomen, vagina and anus.I had to take paracetamol for the first time since I got pregnant, still I wasn't really relieved. Please if anyone experienced this stage, kindly enlighten me cause this pain is something else |
Compliments Mamas in the house, lately I have been experiencing cramps around my vagina and anus,it switches from pain to discomfort at intervals and also I feel this heaviness in my abdomen that makes it hard for me to fart so all the gas is still stuck in thereby causing abdominal cramp or pain (don't know which to classify it under). This development started yesterday...I'm in my second trimester 21 weeks. Please experienced Mamas is this normal in second trimester? And how can I handle it please...it's quite discomforting! |
Good evening Mamas in the house...pls has any one experienced swelling of the ankle at just 18 weeks?...tho before I got pregnant,I do experience swelling of the ankle which subsides after some hours or days usually when I stand for too long or wear really tight shoes..I'm just concerned now because I'm pregnant and so I don't know if I should be concerned.... PS: I just stopped wearing high heels (4 inches) few days ago |
angeltolly:Mzchirious.....edd 8th may |
A big amen! angeltolly: |
Asapretty:Ok, thanks |
Chimzy09:Ok mama,thank you for the insight |
Wow... really?....I really do hope the vomiting stops soon cos it's now becoming too force full and I can't help it...also my bump isnt really that obvious yet at 16 weeks...most mornings I wake up with a semi flat belly..it's usually when I eat or feel bloated my stomach increases kinda but the next morning it's back to semi flat...before I got pregnant, some of my pregnant friends were even showing at 3 mnths....I'm a size 12 I believe Anonymous29: |

[sup][/sup][quote author=Anonymous29 post=84253797]sorry about your throat mama. I guess it was the pressure and force of vomiting. MS doesn't end at 12-14weeks for everybody oooo. Some people experience MS throughout pregnancy and some don't at all. Each person with her body system. I will advice you see your doc. Happy bumping mama. Hi all...I'm new here but I have been keeping tabs on this group and decided to re activate my account to become part of this powerful family...I'm currently 16weeks....had serious Ms in my first trimester which stopped around 14 weeks, now it's back again at 15 weeks +...the vomiting aspect most especially....infact yesterday night I threw up so forcefully that I injured my oesophagus and as I result I experienced blood in my vomit and still experiencing pain in my throat up till now...eating dinner yesterday which happened to be a pepperish spaghetti was a night mare but I had no choice as I was so hungry....seeking solutions on Google is also scary as I keep seeing things like surgery.... has any one experienced this in their second trimester? Cos I thought MS stops after 12-14 weeks at most...I'm a First time mom so I'm not experienced. |
Hmm... This is serious end time matters.... Only God knows what transpired cos this ain't normal... Probably the misunderstanding was a hit from back to back.. |
