Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by MzGiwa: 11:54pm On Feb 13, 2022
Please note that I have read the thread from the beginning even read many of the previous threads but I still don’t quite understand how to proceed in my situation.

The situation: I am currently in the UK with my family on study visa but my hubby says that’s he wants to apply for Canada study visa against winter 2023. I’ll be done with my studies jan 2023 and our visa would expire by May if we don’t apply for PSWV .

My questions: Can hubby apply for study visa with us dependent ( I have a child) or should hubby apply alone then we join later ?

If we all apply together would be VO not be concerned about home ties?

Hubby would be 34 is that too old for MSc?

For POF can hubby use his account in UK or he has to use Naira account since we hold Nigerian passports?

Please I’d appreciate if someone can respond to these

I got graco park and play when i had my first In 2015 (it was 45k then.....i dont know the current price) and i still have it in good condition till date.
I wanted getting twins crib this time while i sell the graco i have but the least price I’ve gotten so far is 150k.
With the way things are going,i will just get additional park and play to use.

Thanks ma'am

Dear Mamas in the house

This is my first time commenting here even tho i have been following the thread actively.

I'm 21 weeks today , Team october grin

Anyway my main question is about crib VS park n play.

I have been pondering on it and trying to draw up a budget for the baby.

I dont know which is more affordable and advisable.

Why don’t you do CIMA instead. Its all year round instead of waiting till September. Then wait another 6/7weeks for certificate.

Thanks @Mrsc22. Please how long does CIMA take, how long will it take to complete the course

You can fax your certificate to WES but your School will send your transcript to them

You can’t send your husband owns (I guess) cos he should have a separate WES profile

I meant should there be need to send any hard doc to WES, to save courier cost. Apparently we wont be sending any hard copy documents now, since i can use FAX and the school can send transcript via email.

So that means its transcript + certificate (compulsorily).

Ok. Thanks.

The transcript can be sent via email by my school right?

My husband is going to his school on monday to request for his certificate, i want to be properly informed..... should i open the WES account for him today, so that when he gets to his school he can request that they send the transcript to WES same day?

And how will WES send the result back to us?

Hi guys,

I know there is a ton of information on this thread. Trust me i have been reading from part one.......but sometimes too many information confuses me. Please i want to confirm something about WES:
- i have my university certificate, can i send it to WES myself? or do i still need to request that my school sends it on my behalf?

- Must i send the certificate alongside transcript or only the certificate will suffice?

- can i send my certificate alongside my husband's to save cost?

Dear All,

I have read through this thread religiously and i have decided to start my journey.

1st: My current job description falls under C on the NOC list which is really painful.

So i begged my fiance be the primary applicant ( we will be getting married this December by God's Grace).

However, he resigned from his former place of work last year to start his own business.

My question is can he still claim points from his last job as he worked for over six years there .

Somebody please advice embarassed

Hi,
Don't be worried. Your admission is still intact just that you didn't meet up with the time frame as defined on the school calendar.
By next semester, do all the needful on time
So many people completed their course n exam registration but couldn't attempt the TMAs because the portal yanked them off. They need to start from where they stopped by next semester.
In NOUN if mgt say, take step 1, be ready to take 3steps
Welcome to NOUN

Please do you have an idea when the portal will be opened for Mac 2019/2020 session. Kindly assist

As your husband has an MSc and more than 3 years working experience; if he is below 30-35, it may be best to have him as principal applicant

your 2 year work experience has exactly same points as 1 year, on the other hand, anything more than 3 years has more points (maximum foreign work experience points in the CRS)

You should play with this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp. Evaluate with LRWS of 8 7 7 7 for the principal applicant and maybe 6 6 6 6 for the partner (see who has a better chance).

Altogether, you should try to drag him into the process. On your own (without doing french, with no siblings in Canada or Education/work experience in Canada), the maximum you can get is 416.

What you should do now is:
- Both of you should do IELTS
- Both of you should evaluate your degrees.

No urgent need enrolling for Masters yet (even if you do not have enough points, you could go the PNP route). For now, evaluate your degrees and try to make him do IELTS one way or the other.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot. This is really helpful

Wow...this is a "four-man" role. What is your job title? Customer Service, Business Development Executive, Operations Manager?

My employment letter states 'Account Executive '. You know Nigeria na. Plenty roles for one person. In other words disguised unemployment

Hello Nairaland fam. I'm new here but I need urgent assistance. I have read through the thread and I understand the steps to take but I am still confused about.
1. What to use as my NOC.I currently work as an account exective ( job duties: create contracts for new projects, handle invoicing, billing and collections. Prepare monthly reports for the dept and annual budget) . I previously worked as a customer service officer (2 years experience in total)
2. I'm getting married by Dec but the bobo seem not to be too keen on relocating unlike myself. So i have decided to do it on my own and add him later when he sees I have made progress. I used the cics site to check my csr and i had 407. That's quite low. I don't know how to boost this.
Please don't get bored with my story. Kindly help a sista.
