I didn't go for antenatal yesterday because of the lockdown the worst part is that as an early April mama, am yet to buy baby things. I pray the whole lockdown issue ends soon.

The heaviness and tightness no be here again. Sleep nko? Na war. All the same may the lord's name be praised for bringing us dis far.

mama try and get the hospital things from around your home at any pharmacy..you can use ur first baby sleep suits for now...and please go for antenatal,no policeman will stop u as u are close to delivery and need close attention..all the best dear

So I want to rant small.
The way dh has been buying foodstuffs eh as if the world would come to an end. My hubby is an 'over-do' person. And this corona matter is bringing out that gene in him. He stopped me from going to the market and has been buying and buying. Even drinks join .
Anyways, team July, have we started getting baby loads? I haven't gotten even a pin but my hope is this saga won't last till April ending. So I can still shop. Also for antenatal, the private I use has made antenatal strictly one person at a time. U will be informed a day to, of your antenatal appointment the next day. Let's all stay safe this period pls.
To our mommas in diaspora, may the good Lord continue to preserve you all. I heard ginger, garlic, lemon and honey should be taken constantly this period to boost immunity. Both preggies, kids and all. We can try that out and leave the rest to us. Happy coro-compulsory holiday everyone!

I have a question to ask sorry if I sound a bit ignorant by asking but I wanted to know

Why are many moms against CS so much to the point of endangering their lives?
I have a friend who lost a previous pregnancy to BP issues then she took in again and also had BP issues again. When her due date was close her doctor scheduled her for CS because of her BP but she didn't go, she stayed home until labour started and became so severe before going to the hospital just because he wanted to give birth through vagina. That act of hers was life threatening because it's possible to have seizures from BP while in labour but she didn't care.
Another woman I live in the same area with, she lost her life from bleeding after pushing a very big baby through her tiny pelvis. This woman was also scheduled for CS but she and her husband agreed she will not do it but will give birth at home through vagina.
Another one of my sister in laws also suffered severe cervix tears and had to be stitched from anus to vagina because of pushing out a very big baby of almost 5kg. The woman was scheduled for CS but she refused to go and decided to give birth naturally instead so she stayed home till labour started that's how she ended up having very bad tears when giving birth. The woman lost so much blood during delivery and was in hospital for a long time because of the trauma her system went through

Please I just want to know why women are so against CS. Personally I don't think its that bad or maybe its my ignorance, a part from longer recovery period or cost why exactly do so many people hate it?

most times it is the cost that scare people away...but for me...life should come first...if it is the safest means for a woman...pls grab it...safe delivery is mother alive and baby alive . .God help us..
