The reality of yesterday’s judgement of the Enugu High Court might actually be dawning on Victor Oye and his team as he has allegedly unleashed members of United Anambra Youth Assembly a.k.a U-AYA to protest against the compelling order which automatically installed Chief Martins Agbaso as the new National Chairman of APGA. It would be recalled that the former National Publicity Secretary of APGA Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye had while reacting to the judgement through a press Statement signed by him, called the judgement a “Kangora” one. This statement may have put questions on the lips of the people on whether the Ogidi-Born Barrister actually passed through the Law school, to have the effrontery to describe an order from the court as a Kangora one. The same judgement they called people to disregard is the same judgement they are protesting against. That’s the point. http://www.naaija.com/2017/05/apga-live-street-protests-awka-enugu-hcourt-rule/ Cc Lalasticlala OAM4J Mynd44

Overlooking A Sore In Your Mouth Or Lips Can Kill Don’t ignore even the smallest pain or sore in the mouth, This is because some oral cancers are not obvious to us as we look in a mirror. “They can be behind the teeth or under the tongue and patients may not notice them according to Brian Burkey, MD who said when contacted “We see patients all the time who had an irritation around their tooth that ends up being squamous cell cancer, which may have been bothering them for up to a year,” Brian is a specialist on cases of Ears, Nose and throat. There are signs we shouldn’t wave off , it could signal medical problems or, in limited cases, oral cancer: Nagging mouth pain Bleeding sore in the mouth that won’t heal and lasts for more than two weeks Swelling in the neck that lasts for more than two weeks An area in your mouth that becomes discolored and stays that way A lump or thickening in your cheek that doesn’t go away Numbness in your tongue or another part of your mouth Constant feeling of something caught in your throat While not an exhaustive list, these are symptoms that can slip under the radars of our busy lives. That’s why it’s important to notice when they don’t resolve. “If symptoms last for more than two weeks, get them checked out by a doctor or dentist,” Dr. Burkey says. read more on http://www.naaija.com/2017/05/overlooking-sore-mouth-lips-can-kill/ Cc: Lalasticlala Sissy3 Dominique

In line with the statutory mandate of the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate economic crimes of national security dimension, the Service, on 5th May, 2017, arrested Ifeanyi UBAH, Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas Limited. The arrest was sequel to UBAH’s engagement in acts of economic sabotage which include stealing, diversion and illegal sale of petroleum products stored in his tank farm by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). So far, it has been established that the products stolen amount to over Eleven Billion Naira (N11bn). There is no doubt that UBAH’s acts have the capacity to negatively impact on national economy. It is instructive to note that UBAH has further engaged in other activities inimical to national security and public order. In furtherance of his gimmicks to undermine the government and people of Nigeria, he has incited members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD), a critical player in the downstream sub-sector of the Petroleum Industry, to refuse/stop the lifting of products. This is part of his plans to curry their sentiments and cause them to embark on strike and also stage protests in his favour with the ulterior motive of arm-twisting the NNPC to abandon the cause of recovering the stolen products. The implications of this on law and order is, in fact, a common knowledge. It is consequent upon this that the Service arrested and will prosecute him forthwith. The public is hereby reassured that the Service will collaborate with appropriate agencies to ensure that the mischievous activities of any person or group(s) to engage in illegal activities will not affect the effective distribution of products across the country. It will also support such agencies to bring to book individuals or companies involved in any criminal act that undermines the nation’s economy. The founder of the House of God International Ministry, Pastor Chris Okotie has blasted Prophet T.B Joshua over his plan to relocate to Israel. Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of Nations had yesterday made known his plan to move away from Nigeria, his home country, to Europe. The Synagogue has worshippers from all over the World coming to Lagos, Nigeria every worship day. Speaking on Facebook, Okotie, who has long been an outspoken critic of Joshua, described the cleric as an attention-seeking “impostor”. He added, “He is controlled by a malevolent misanthropic spirit,” the pastor of Household of God International Ministries wrote on his official Facebook Profile under a news article he reposted detailing Joshua’s alleged relocation.” “His hypocritical jeremiad should be ignored. He is just another frustrated shaman seeking public sympathy,” Okotie said. http://www.naaija.com/chris-okotie-blasts-t-b-joshua-hypocrite-seeking-sympathy/

THREE PARADOXES OF CHRISTIANITY; why they exist, and how they can be resolved. 1. The Old Testament clearly forbids all images of God. Christians believe that Jesus is God, but most churches have images of Jesus right above the altar, on stained glass, statues, etc. How is it possible to reconcile this imagery with the Old Testament prohibition on such imagery? 2. The Old Testament clearly states that all souls will be resurrected and judged at the end of time (Judgment Day). And yet, most churches teach that the dead go immediately to their reward or punishment. If they are resurrected at Judgment Day, why the second judgment? 3. The Old Testament is rigorously monotheistic (and so is the Qu’ran). However, most Christians believe in a 3-in-1 deity called the “Trinity.” For this reason, most Jews and Muslims do not consider Christians to be true monotheists. Why does Christianity have this Trinity? Historical origins and resolutions: It is important to remember that Christianity arose from the intermixing of two very different cultures, Hebrew and Greek. All of the original Christian scriptures were written in Greek, so it is a mistake to ignore the influence of Greek culture and seek precedent only in the Hebrew text. 1. While the OT forbids images of God, the ancient Greeks not only permitted but encouraged such effigies. The combination of a culture which prohibits such iconography with a culture in which it abounds should be expected to produce an uncomfortable hybrid – and indeed it did. While verbally opposing “idols” (the Greek word for “image” is “idola”), most Christian churches turn around and promote images of Jesus. The origin of this paradox (hypocrisy?) is to be found in the blended Hebrew/Greek history of the church. 2. While traditional Jews believe that the dead are dead – they simply disappear until Judgment Day when they are resurrected and judged for the one and only time – the ancient Greeks believed that when the spirit (breath) leaves the body, it travels immediately to the River Styx where it would be ferried by Charon into Hades, the land of shadows.[*] Hence, the belief in the immediacy of the afterlife stems from the Greek view, and the belief in judgment upon resurrection stems from the Hebrew view. 3. During the three centuries when Christianity was an oppressed religion in Rome, groups who had heard the gospel had to meet in small, secret gatherings with little or no communication throughout the Empire. It is not surprising that these groups all interpreted the New Testament with somewhat different spins. After Constantine liberated Christianity within the Empire, it is not surprising that there were clashes between these groups, sometimes outright warfare. The “Trinity” was a compromise developed to bring peace to these groups. [*]Note that “Hades” should not be confused with “Hell”; Hades is simply “the house of the dead” and, for the ancient Greeks, everyone went to the same place, rich as well as poor, powerful as well as weak, good as well as evil. There is no concept of “punishment” associated with Hades, although the ancient Greeks did seem to consider it a scary place. http://www.naaija.com/old-testament-rigorously-monotheistic-james-pearce/
