hammerU: BLESSING OKORO DID ACCUSE TACHA OF SENDING ASSASSIN TO HER.
WE DID NOT BELIEVE HER.
YET COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, SOMEBODY TRIED TO KILL ANGELA OKORIE, AFTER SHE CALLED TACHA OUT FOR IGNORING HER.
FRANKLY SPEAKING, TACHA NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AND I DOUBT THIS LAWSUIT WILL FLY.
Because some said something and another thing happened to someone else, while you on the other hand did not verify your facts before making false claims against someone believed everything hook line and sinker.
Do you think the court will work with verbal evidence or hard evidence?

She further stated that the blogger will face legal consequences if she fails to comply with the demands.
Jerryembassy91: A 50-year-old man has been jailed for life for raping a 19-month-old baby girl who required corrective surgery for the injuries she sustained.
Mzingisi James Ntshontshi was jailed for life this week by Port Elizabeth high court judge Irma Schoeman for the rape on August 12, 2018.
The judge described his actions as “abhorrent, wicked and perverse” and said the ordeal had devastating consequences for the toddler.
According to testimony led during the trial, the child's mother, who worked at a bakery in St Francis Bay, had left her in the care of a woman who shared a house with in Ntshontshi. The female carer, in turn, left the child with the accused, when she went to buy alcohol at about 7am at a nearby shebeen.
Before she could return, the child was found half-clothed, bloody and bruised in the bushes about 100m away from the house by members of the community at about 4pm that day.
Humansdorp hospital's Dr. LM Mabaso, who examined the toddler, told the court that due to the severity of the injuries, she had immediately consulted with a specialist at Dora Nginza Hospital and the little girl had been rushed to Port Elizabeth for corrective surgery.
A medical report filed before sentencing described the enduring physical and psychological problems affecting the child. Her rapist was also ordered to pay for her corrective surgery from behind prison bars.
The worried mother of the child who sent her daughter away to live with family members after the incident told the court of her guilt.
“After it happened I saw her once because I separated myself from her ... when I look at her or when (a relative) sends me a picture of her, then I have the image of when she was raped,” the mother said.
gcey2k: The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) have stung the country with a four-year ban from all major sporting events, including the 2020 Olympic Games.
Russia will be barred from competing at the 2022 World Cup, with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) hitting the nation with a four-year ban from all major sporting events.
Along with football’s showpiece tournament, which is due to head to Qatar in three years’ time, the Russian flag and anthem will also be missing from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
A WADA panel last month recommended the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) be declared non-compliant again over inconsistencies in anti-doping data discovered during an investigation.
WADA's independent Compliance Review Committee (CRC) recommended strong sanctions be imposed on Russia, including a four-year ban from competing in and hosting major sporting events.
On Monday, the body's Executive Committee unanimously agreed with the recommendation at a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland.
A statement from WADA President Sir Craig Reedie said: “The ExCo’s strong decision today shows WADA’s determination to act resolutely in the face of the Russian doping crisis, thanks to the Agency’s robust investigatory capability, the vision of the CRC, and WADA’s recently acquired ability to recommend meaningful sanctions via the Compliance Standard which entered into effect in April 2018.
"Combined, these strengths have enabled the ExCo to make the right decisions at the right time.
“For too long, Russian doping has detracted from clean sport.
"The blatant breach by the Russian authorities of RUSADA’s reinstatement conditions, approved by the ExCo in September 2018, demanded a robust response. That is exactly what has been delivered today.
"Russia was afforded every opportunity to get its house in order and re-join the global anti-doping community for the good of its athletes and of the integrity of sport, but it chose instead to continue in its stance of deception and denial.
"As a result, the WADA ExCo has responded in the strongest possible terms, while protecting the rights of Russian athletes that can prove that they were not involved and did not benefit from these fraudulent acts.
“On behalf of the ExCo, and of the many WADA stakeholders that supported the CRC recommendation, I would like to thank the members of the CRC for their expert and considered recommendation, as well as WADA I&I and the forensic experts for their skill, diligence and perseverance in getting to the bottom of this highly complex case.”
RUSADA has 21 days to appeal the suspension, which would see its case referred to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Individual Russian athletes will still be able to enter global competitions under a neutral flag, as was the case for 168 Russians at the 2018 Winter Olympics when the country was banned.
The International Standard for Code Compliance by Signatories does not list UEFA as a "major event organisation", so Russia will also be free to compete at Euro 2020.
Stanislav Cherchesov's side have qualified for the finals, where St Petersburg is one of the host cities.
Russia have been placed in Group B alongside Belgium, Finland and Denmark.

Have been following nairaland since 2012 but fully registered 2015, I know some of you would have gone through what am going through now and each of your advises would be duly observed.
We are 3 in our family me my dad, and my elder brother who is also a graduate.
it all started wen I lost my mom to cancer 2016. she was a school teacher in one of the government school in abuja.
After her death we started following up her gratuity from Gov, God willing and thank God we were paid.
We decided to invest the money in schooling, which we decided to build a primary school in PH
I'm from Owerri but I have uncles from rivers state so we had the feelings that river state is a better option for the investement.
At least we have relatives there to show a good place to set up the school.
We went to our uncle's house who happens to be a Lawyer and narrated everything to him concerning a good land to Start up a school.
He told us he had a land for sell, we were happy because we felt he can't scam us.
We went through normal procedures concerning the land he wanted selling to Us.
Sorry not to have mentioned, my uncle came from a very respected and rich family so we handled everything with full assurance.
He then told us that 2 barristers (based in PH) are also involved in the land deal. That they own the land.
Since they were barristers, we consented.
So we paid 5million for two plots.
Though, the area wasn't that developed but they where few houses there, so starting up school there might be profitable
We started building fence and other important things that is ought to be done, in fact, all what we spent would sum up to 1.2million.
In the course of building, someone we don't know came and chase us out of the land, Saying the land belongs to him.
During this period, my dad tried to reach out to my uncle and the other 2 barristers to come and explain things to him but they were no where to be found.
He spent 2 weeks in PH without any sign from them nor results.
This is a year and three months we paid for that land and we haven't step into that land and no straight answers had been given to us.
We trusted him.
What annoys me the most is that he now pick our calls only when he feels like and no straight answer would still be given..
We have been avoiding taking the case to court because we fear it would last longer in court.
He told us to take him anywhere we like, that he will defend himself.
We don't need the land again, we want our money back cause what we have experienced so far is not what we bargained for.
I'm thinking of going to Brekete family (Human Right Radio) in Abuja to seek for solution
Note: My uncle is now based in Abuja but those two lawyers are based in PH.
Please my fellow nairalanders your advise are needed and any comment given would be very much appreciated, cause this totally look like we have been scammed.

Sylver247: So during the weekend, I was just thinking about the Nigerian employment system and the sometimes enormous challenges employees go through.
Apart from very stringent requirements in terms of education, age and experience, there is the very rigorous selection process which sometimes lasts for months.
Then if you are eventually selected, the challenges of the job can be gruelling sometimes. Apart from the normal everyday demands of the job, sometimes you get to work with very difficult people.
Some bosses can really make you regret your life. I have seen and heard about bosses who abuse their subordinates emotionally and sometimes even physically.
I once worked with a boss who would push you, call you names and yell at any slightest thing. Have you ever had such an experience working with a difficult person? How did you or are you handling it?
You know whether their boss they monitor their.movemrnt for nairaland?

JosEast: A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered an interim forfeiture of two houses in Ilorin, Kwara State belonging to the immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had approached the court presided over by Justice Ridwan Aikawa, for an order of interim forfeiture of the properties said to worth about N 1 billion on the ground that it was acquired through the proceeds of unlawful activity.
The anti-graft agency told the court in an exparte application that it ‘‘uncovered monumental fraud perpetrated in the treasury of the Kwara State Government between 2003 and 2011’’, when Saraki was governor of the state. ADVERTISEMENT Based on the application, the court ordered the temporary forfeiture of Saraki’s two properties designated as Plots No. 10 and No. 11 Abdulkadir Road, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State. An operative of the EFCC, Olamide Sadiq, said in an affidavit filed in support of the ex parte application that the move for the forfeiture of the houses followed the findings of the EFCC after investigation and “the report of a committee set up to review sale of Kwara State Government houses during the reign of the Governor of Kwara State in the year 2003 and 2011.”
He said the EFCC also received “a damning intelligence report, showing monumental fraud perpetrated in the treasury of the Kwara State Government between 2003 and 2011.” Sadiq said, “Whilst the investigation was ongoing, several fraudulent transactions were discovered. “That whilst he (Saraki) held the aforementioned position (governor of Kwara State), the common pattern was that after payment of monthly allocation by the Federal Government to the Kwara State Government, a cumulative sum of not less than N100million will be deposited into the Kwara Government House account.
“That upon the payment of the said N100million, same will, in turn, be withdrawn in cash by one Mr Afeez Yusuf from the Kwara State Government House, Ilorin’s account in bits and brought to the Government House.” The EFCC said it believed that Saraki developed the two properties with proceeds of unlawful activities. Counsel for the commission, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, thereafter urged Justice Aikawa to order their temporary forfeiture to the Federal Government. In granting the order, Justice Aikawa directed the EFCC to publish the temporary forfeiture order in a national newspaper.
The judge adjourned the matter to December 17 for anyone interested in the properties to appear before him to show cause why the properties should not be permanently forfeited to the federal government. Meanwhile, Dr. Saraki has reiterated his position that the application to the Federal High Court, Lagos, for interim forfeiture order on his Ilorin home by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is an abuse of the court process and a violation of a subsisting order of the Federal High Court, Abuja. Saraki, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, noted that the Federal High Court in Abuja presided by Justice Taiwo Taiwo had given an order “restraining the respondents (Commission) by themselves, their subordinates, agents, servants, or privies whosoever, from seizing, impounding, taking over, confiscating or otherwise forfeiting the Applicant’s (Saraki) right to own and peacefully enjoy any of his assets and properties”.
