Are you sure they receive all your documents and was uploaded on your profile before the deadline? Really sorry,don't give up, please try again and keep me in the loop this time

My documents were over complete, sent 2 uni transcripts and high school transcript, Waec, neco, passport, birth certificate, they dealth with me with list of documents to upload. when I counted my files uploaded online, they were about 18 documents I uploaded to tell u I was over ready and concluded on Concordia, they offered me certificate in arts to upgrade my result by 18units, but it's useless. McGill doesn't have economics again for fall 2015, so I'm out of Quebec will try again in other provinces

Emperor and Naby, I don't know how you guys pulled up your apps o! but I think the issue might be from there. For example, emperor is going as a transfer student. Naby is talking about uni transcripts too.


When I reapplied for admission after deferring, I wasn't asked to send any toefl result. Una must have selected an option in the application steps that triggered that toefl thing. And, I advised emperor to go and start afresh in mun... forget the transfer thing,,, u might not enjoy it...Na ur choice though.


You guys might want to Logon to the MUN self service portal and go through the questions again. The part that asked for the level that defines you, choose that you are an high skool leaver....



Cos, Nigeria still dey on their ELT exempt list.

I'm going for a second degree but they wrote "transfer student" in my app, I kept on telling them that I don't want to transfer, I want to start from the beginning, they din't listen, guess that's the reason for the Ietls.
But, if I reapply and put high school instead of uni, won't it be somehow because on my previous app, I put uni

My sister,i asked them before,that should be arund June,July n was told by Isaac Keir dat Nigerians were exempted,now afta applyin,by oct first n spendin over 30k sendin transcript to dem, dey ar now sayin i sud send test of eng cert to dem n also send waec transcript directly from waec as if na free waec go do am. I wish i can sue that school.

Ok, check Usask they hav PGD in chemical Engr. Though when I was applying the program was suspended dont know if its now open.
Try and exploit all uni offering the course (also consider there fees) before looking into colleges.

You need to take your time, no rushing.
Very importantly, pen down your letter of intent ready and try to correlate all your work experiences, research and design project into it. I would hv sent u mine as a guide, but am stil in the process.

it seems the IELTS issue has to do with the program of study. I applied to Eng'ring dept in August for Fall 2015, I only used English as medium of instruction. Yes for MUN

Yes, mun asked me for toefl last week Friday, after series of emails and arguments to waive it for me, I called the assistant registrar and he said Nigeria is a complicated country with plenty languages. That even though our language of instruction in schools is English, we don't speak it outside the classroom and in personal/social interaction - that's exactly what he said... I just fashied the school.

How long av u bn on ur transcript issue?

Sorry to jump in, lemme share my own experience, been on this transcript issue since August. Paid triple for DHL since August, been calling my school to send it to canny, finally they told me they sent it and when I asked for the tracking number, they told me DHL dint issue them a tracking number... After calls for 3weeks, they found the tracking number and sent it to me about 2 hours ago. Tracked it and to my surprise they sent both transcript to Quebec instead of Concordia and MUN, They did not even deliver to the school, it's been chilling in DHL Quebec office since last month...
Planning on calling DHL tomorrow to see if they can deliver to the school and then MUN... *sigh* naija schools are something else....

Good day bro, sorry for just replying. First I will advice you to check the school website and get the contact of the graduate advisor in charge of the department you want, send the advisor an email stating your qualification, experience and the semester you want to come in. Though the school states minimum of 2:1 but there are always exceptions. From the response of the advisor you'll know whether you'll get admitted for masters, if not you'll have to apply for pgd fitst, then afterwards proceed to masters. Yes o, Concordia. I dint get anything below C5 in all my waec n Neco courses. And even in my high school transcript, I got A from Jss1-Ss3

1. English is the official language of Nigeria.

2. You're being instructed over the past 15 years in English Language.

3. You've not used any other language before than English. (Lamba)..

codebreaker: First off relax.
There is something called an english proficiency letter. It is usually given from a registry department of your previous institution in naija. Request for that letter to be sent to you via scan so you can email it to them.
The letter should state that you studied in english through out your 4 years in university and you are excellent in english. With this letter you are waivered english exams in most universities world wide. So ask them if an english proficiency letter from your undergrad uni registry would suffice.
