IIZER29: I can only speak for first bank. According to my branch manager, the master naira cards are not working anymore in a few west african countries but the master naira card still works fine in US. There haven't been instructed yet. You should have a back up plan just in case they decide to stop them from being used in the US. check your email, you should see a letter from FirstBank. FirstBank has officially banned the use of Naira ATM Cards. Zenith Bank is left, I called them today, and they said they haven't announced it officially, yet. |

bigfrancis21: I see no problem with that. They don't usually ask that kind of question at the POE anyway. Questions asked are usually 'what are you coming to the US for', or 'is this your first time to the US', etc. Time spent at the POE is very brief, and in under a minute or two you would be on your way to the carousel to grab your luggage. you got mail Oga |

OjaP: I remember you from page 7. You're that hilarious lady that was going to go to Miami beach, give birth to an half cast, and ultimately find true love. I pray your dreams come true.
You're right. Things are expensive and life here could also be frustrating without adequate preparation.
Welcome to America. yes o, I'm still looking for the oyibo, not seen any potential yet. it is boring here too, no danfo bus driver or okada to disturb the place, everybody just minding their business *hiss* |

biikeys: lol...without even banking with them for some time? hmm nah. You have to have been banking with them for about 3 months at least. By the way, I feel you shouldn't be in a rush to get a credit card. Take time to settle down, understand how to manage your funds, get an on-campus job if you can, then you can go ahead...else you'll find yourself in one big mess. You don't want to mess up your credit and end up paying up debts for a long time.. Sounds 'juicy' but be careful. I mean if I can open BofA account immediately, not applying for the credit card immediately. And school said no job till after my first year, na to beg remain. |

zeezahbee: Stewee is actually correct. i was at BOA this morning with a friend and i was approved of $1500, they didnt even ask for my SSN. my friend didnt have a SSN and she was also approved immediately for $700, as long have you have been banking with them for like 2-3mths, they approve the credit card plus no annual fee Were you the one that requested for that amount or they just come up with a figure to approve? And can I open BofA immediately I get there with normal passport or any Naija Id? |

slimmy05: Ofcourse I know that. You think I take hook line and sinker what a lot of folks drop here? No no no. I knew you were not going to that school. I can categorically tell you that 60% of people who got their visa here never go to their school or never enrolled at all. She is also looking for escape route like you. But I would advice you to go to school else you will be in same cadre with undocumented Mexicans Of course I'm going to School. Sent u a pm. |

slimmy05: Nabylet, I read through your school your school's website (wartburg college) and here is what I got http://catalog.wartburg.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=4&poid=685&returnto=201 . I referred a friend to the school and she couldn't find the BSc nursing, I decided to do the search myself and found out they only offer BA Biology and you would later apply to Allen college for BS nursing. Please, what exactly is written on the I-20? is it BS Nursing or BA Biology? Thanks It is BS Nursing for 48months they wrote on the i20. But actually It's pre-nursing for 2years and then continue to Allen school of nursing to complete. I am also aware of that but I am not going to that school, I only used it for the embassy. The school I finally decided on going to is in Florida |
