is this another year of uncertainty? |
So now every protest is violence... Every protester is a tourist abi. How did I end up in this zoo |
http://chng.it/JVWftrjN This is a call to relevant and influencial bodies and the United Nation specifically to come to the aid of the Nigerian people, the common and underprivileged masses of Nigeria to safe us from the long term shambles in our educational and health care system. This call has become Necessary due to the fact that our leaders who ought to represent the masses in goodwill have turned out to leverage on our trust. The educational system in Nigeria is nothing to write about. In fact primary and secondary schools have long been forgotten.we are left at the mercy of expensive and unqualified private schools. Our universities have been shutdown for 8 months due to persistent strike. Lack of funding of the educational system has become a normal issue in Nigeria. The least of government commitment has been in the educational and health care system. Our Health care system is something we can not be proud of. We have the human resources, well intelligent and trained doctors and medical workers but no facilities or equipments to compliment their knowledge. All the above is due to the fact that our leaders have the financial and influential buoyancy to send their children abroad to school or to get the best of treatment and so they don't see it necessary to pay attention to the educational and health care system for a common Nigerian to enjoy same. A 5-10 years ban for any educational and health trip for any leader or their children be it past or present leader, whatsoever office he or she occupies will go a long way in resetting the health and educational system. I see this as a necessary and urgent solution because I believe if they and their children should partake in the same system as the masses they will give the system more attention. I believe the reason why the government have zero commitment to the educational and health care system is because they and their children have the privilege that a common Nigerian doesn't have. It is necessary that UN should take a good step towards this petition to save the future and the lifes of the Nigerian people and even the generation yet to come. Please sign the petition and share |
Most of them think same. Na this one mumu too much that is why she voice out. |
Nice piece. I can't even tell any of my friends happy independence without being attacked. |
Come to think of it, I brought up this thread just to let us know how some South Africans sees us and not for us to show how divided we are. Personally I don't think we Nigerians see south Africa as bad as they see us. Believe me, when that lady said Nigerians she isn't pointing fingers at the igbos, Yoruba or Hausa.... Or any other tribe. she actually was pointing fingers at all of us... Because if u are to leave this country to another country you will be called a Nigerian be u Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa. |

We shall rise again |
If we Africans see ourselves as a threat to our own survival then, I don't see how we are going to grow. This was my chat with a South African girl yesterday. Please this is not to instigate hate to our fellow nation but to tell Nigerians to be careful because we don't know how many % of the South African population has the same mindset with this lady.

WHAT I WILL DO IF I BECOME THE PRESIDENT Here is what I will do if become the president; 1) EDUCATION; education will be my first advocacy, looking at what is going on in the education is not something encouraging and it daters the future of the youth. It makes the youth loose hope in education. If am not mistaken is only in Nigeria that the issue of strike is as popular as the CCN, I wouldn’t blame the university body for taking any action I will rather blame the government for not putting education first in its priority. It’s a shame on Nigeria as a whole to not know the value of education even at this stage. Am just 18 years old but I will stand in front of the whole world and tell them my country Nigeria which I am proud of doesn’t know the value of education and for that I will be contesting for the presidency and here are the changes I will make; 1) I will make sure education comes first in my agenda 2) I will invest more on education because I know the value 3) I will make sure there is nothing like strike in the history of my government 4) I will change some policies in the government to favour education 5) I will make the best brains gets what they work for both fame just like the football world they earn what they worked for. 6) I will set up an association just like FIFA for the best and talented brains to come together, compete and the best gets a world award just like the ballon d’ore. The world is growing if the government can’t give us education and empower the skilled and talented youths then, we will wake up one day and find out that we are lost in the world of our own. Please am begging the federal government to consider ASUU and let students get back to school don’t let us the youths to be lingering in the street like people without a responsible government. |

WHAT WE ALMOST FORGOT AS A Country As a country we forgot a whole lot things that’s why we raise against each other, we fight, we destroy and we kill each other. Not because of anything but because we fail to sit down and think, we forgot the vision and mission of those who stood and fought for this great country, we forgot that we have been and we are still being nurtured by this motherland. For a man can decide to have another father but certainly not another mother, we forgot how great this country ought to be, we forgot that we are the giants of Africa, we forgot how strong we are if only we unite. Nigerians there is no way we will make this country a better and a proud place to live if we don’t put the country above our personal interest, ethnic groups, religion and even families. We all must have one goal, we all must have one vision and mission instead of having divided kingdoms. Whether you are from the north, south, east or the west all we need is united Nigeria. Nigeria our identity!!!!! Happy Salah!!!!! |
OH NIGERIA MY COUNTRY!!!! Oh Nigeria my country, a country ruled by politicians that are money hungry, oh a country ruled by politicians that put family first before the country, oh a country where the leaders lack focus and visions, oh a country where the people are concerned on who, what religion, and ethnic group that rule them, oh a country filled with corruption…………………………….. Oh my country my country is this what is expected of having Nigeria as a country instead of a nation? Or as a state instead of a nation? OH Nigeria my country a country flowing with milk and honey, oh a country of promise………... I would rather suggest a solution that would help my country instead of criticizing my country, for if only the government will put this into consideration then we will be hoping to make a better and proud Nigeria. TO THE GOVERNMENT A SOLUTION THAT MIGHT HELP 1) There should be massive improvement in the educational system; for education is the bedrock of every nation or country, no country experience development without education. When am talking about education I mean in every aspect of it. 2) Massive improvement in the health care system; it doesn’t make any atom of sense seeing our president or some Nigerians going out seeking medical attention thereby boosting the economic status of that country on medical bills, it will also go a long of giving the citizens of the country a sense of being catered for. 3) Massive improvement in the electricity distribution sector; if am not wrong the north alone can generate the whole country with steady electricity if only the government will take back their minds to harvest solar system in the north thereby having dual means of electricity production. For no country experience massive boost of economy without electricity. 4) The government should invest on tourism and involve in large scale farming; I don’t know if it is wrong for the government to involve in large scale farming but all I know is that if the government should involve in large scale farming it will go a very long way in boosting the economy, not only the economy but also employment opportunity and more food supply. When I say large scale farming am talking about the cash crop farming which will serve as foreign exchange thou I know it will be a long time investment but it will pay-out, for we are too dependent on only crude oil I guess the high time we start having multiple choices to our economy the better for us. 5) The government should take back its mind to sport for this also will help a lot; let the government invest in sport let there be upgrading in sport, more world class stadiums, more facility to improve sports we all see how the first world are flourishing in sports we can’t remain a third world forever. All these few things I mentioned will only be achieved if we have a leader with the heart of Nelson Mandela, Barrack Obama and a lot of great leaders that put their country first above family and self-interest. Those are the leaders we need and I know even among the bad ones we have among our leaders there are few with a golden heart. And to we the youth and the citizens as a whole let’s not be carried away by what state, religion, and ethnic group the person that is ruling us belong to instead lets be concerned on his plans and where he is taking the country to. We have no other land than these we are the ones to make it a better place to live not only to we, but to foreigners and above all to the generation unborn. THIS IS NIGERIA THIS IS OUR IDENTITY!!! |
