Here was what I did
I received a salary of about 80k Per month from my previous place of work, I ensured I used a blue pen to make where ever I received a salary and also mentioned that in my 'additional Cover letter"
I now received a bigger salary in my new place of work, I also did the same,

Always write an additional cover letter mostly explaining your financial status,

Since I had a closing balance of 80k, I told them that this is my salary account and not my personal acct, and feel that is unnecessary to include it to my application, but also stated that I am willing to provide this information if required.

My account just shows I receive a steady salary, however, I spend it is my business.

Hotel reservation in my name ( for 2)
Copies of my previous visas ( 3 expired 6 months and a valid 2 years)
Copy of my valid US visa
My bank statement (salary account with a balance of 4.2m, I earn 249k net)
Cover Letter
Her birth certificate
Mum's passport data page , letter of consent and affidavits to support.(dad is late)
A letter from her school
Her school fees receipts for this session (3 terms).

Please, is there anything I need to add to the above?

I have gone through most of the pages and I've been able to pick pocketful of information.
But I'm still bothered with some things.
I got my introductory letter today from my school, and I am ready to apply next week.
I've planned to apply as a visitor(My brother who is studying for his masters in Norwich will send me an invitation letter next week), but he doesn't know if he should include proof of accommodation in the list of documents to be submitted,
So I asked a friend in my school who also traveled recently to uk, he told me he doesn't need to submit any proof of accommodation, that I should book a hotel, and also that I do not need letter of invitation, that I can apply more or less as a tourist and all I just need to do is to mention in my application that I have a brother doing his masters in uk.

Please advise me, which should I go for, for a successful application, as a tourist, or visitor? I don't want to make any mistake.
I look forward to your kind advice, thanks alot!

P.S: I'm just 20,I'm a student of unilag in my penultimate year, and my sponsor is my uncle, a politician, Thanks once again.

Hi Erin, I did go through booking.com and contacted the hotels directly. The ones whose rates were cheap enough redirected me to booking.com. Two of the hotels I found asked me to chat with me on whatsapp. They agreed for me to pay for two nights and after asking me if I had anyone in SA to make payment for me which I said no, they gave me a Nigerian personal accountin which to pay in. I'm scared to make the payment because I don't want to be scammed. I thought I was supposed to pay online with my MasterCard. Please did anybody pay into a Nigerian account? I have been looking for this information for the past 24 hours. I have just finished filling the form and submitted, I spent the next 1 hour, looking for the appointment booking portal, to select a date to submit my file.

Kindly confirm i do not need to book an appointment. All i need to do is just walk into VFS and submit the documents?

you need to present prove that you can withdraw from the joint account... you can get a reference letter from the bank confirming you as a sole signatory to the account...

lastly ask your friend to send you
1 invitation letter
2 passport data page
3 utility bill (water or electricity bill)
4 his statement of account

and you can get this letter from NIIT

1 introduction letter address to the embassy.
2 leave letter.,
3 evidence of payment to NIIT ...

attach your flight itinerary and hotel reservation if you are not staying with him

It's not true oga. Someone can sponsor a working adult. So, if an employer decides to sponsor his employee, you will still say it doesn't hold water? It's not true sir.

One's uncle, employer, brother, etc can sponsor him. Working adult, and so?

Just listen to yourself. You speak as if you are an ECO. Those that sponsored themselves and got everything right, yet were denied, what happened?

Good morning house. Lovely and educative help here.
I have a valid business visitor visa to the UK to write a professional exam which was granted for that same reason. I wrote the same in June and wasn't successful and I stayed in the UK for about 2 weeks.
I've rebooked another date for 22nd of November but my visa will be expiring on the 18th of November.
What can I do? Is there a possibility of visa extension or do I have to reapply for a new visa again?

One thing you must understand is she is not forging the documents, that is the actual situation, and so she should just explain how it is, furthermore, your application must always be consistent with your previous application, last application she was jobless now she has a job and no letter of employment, it is a red flag and can cause doubt in her application.

The fact that she is truthful about her situation will actually be a plus. she is not stating that she started work earlier but that her employment letter was back dated. she should just explain why it was so. It will help her application to come out straight

Please has any one experienced this recently, I was making application payment for my family, I have made 5 out of 6, but the last one would not go, it kept saying insufficient funds or my card company refused the transaction even though I have over the 119 usd required. Sorry to hear about the sad outcome of your wife application. Like you right noted, using a dumb agent can be disastrous. With her travel history she won't have any problem on her next application if she can address the issues. Just gather all the nessary documents to show that she is self employed. This will include business registration certificate, tax clearance certificate, MOUs, company bank statement etc. On the other hand, the ECO knows that a lot of applicants now used group church conferences attendance to immigrate into UK. She just unfortunate to be considered in that light. My advise try again next year for a family vacation.

I do not think any of us here is a visa officer. Rather than assuming things becos u have been opportuned to leave Nigeria's shores, provide the guy with the info requested and offer any piece of advice politely. Not everyone is as knowledgeable in stuffs as travel especially first time travellers. And @Timmmy pls use the visa (if given) for the purpose intended and return as indicated. Flouting visa rules or intending to emigrate illegally apart from being a serious offence is also a gateway to a life of perpetual fear and poverty since one is not a legal resident there.

Nah. Even one day left on a visa is fine.
On my last NIV visa, I travelled with just days left on the visa and was stamped in for 6 months.

Thanks for your response, But does the numbers of months left on my visa determines if i would be granted entry or not? Since a visa can only take one to the port of entry and ones stay is determined by the CBP. A visa should be valid till the very last day of its validity.

At First bank here, the lady tellers attends to 5 customers in 20 minutes, the same 20 minutes the male tellers uses to attend to over 15 customers.
