AmehTsaev:
Edo Emerges Best State in 2021 WAEC Exams

Edo State has emerged the best state in the 2021 diet of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examinations, recording 92.8 percent pass rate among students who sat for the examination in the state.

The state also came second in the ranking of the pass rate among public schools who wrote the examination across Nigeria in 2021.

This was contained in a recent data released by WAEC and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) published by data firm, Statisense on its Twitter handle.

According to the data, Edo came first in the national tally with 92.8 percent of students passing the exams with five credits, including English and Mathematics.

The data ranked Enugu State second with 92.7 percent; Anambra third with 92.2 percent; Benue State fourth with 91.5 percent; Ebonyi fifth with 90.5 percent and Cross River State sixth with 90.2 percent.

In the ranking of the performance of public schools which presented candidates for the exam, Enugu State came first with 93.9 percent; Edo second with 93.5 percent; Benue third with 91.7 percent; Ebonyi fourth with 91.3 percent, while Anambra fifth with 91.3 percent.

The administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki had implemented far-reaching reforms across the education ecosystem, beginning with the basic education sector.

The reforms are percolating to the other aspects of the state’s education space, with a number of the teachers in public schools in the state receiving national awards for their devotion to service and innovation in the classroom.

The governor was awarded the NUT Governor of Year by the Nigerian Union of Teachers in 2019 in recognition of his multifaceted reforms and initiatives in the state’s education sector.

So no south west state made it to first 6. Good to know.

Politics / Re: Opinion: Fake Osinbajo Secret Diary And The Lunacy Of Rudolph Dr Damages Okonkwo by Naijabad: 10:05pm On Aug 16, 2022
murecool:
By Seun Bisuga

Some of the clear signs of a mentally unstable person are confused thinking, flickering mental focus, and imbalance reasoning. These sum up the characteristics of Rudolf Okonkwo who calls himself “Dr. Damages”.
We know that he is obsessed with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo but the extent of his poetic recklessness is only a reflection of a personal midlife crisis–for there can’t be any other reasonable cause for this petulance.
Damage’s obsession with the Vice President is becoming an issue of grave concern to everyone including those who are fans of his satire.

In his recent piece of dross he titled “The Secret Diary Of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo,” Damages deliberately chose to misinform and confuse his audience. He wrote a jumble of different imaginary thoughts while attributing it to the Vice president.
For instance he wrote: “To have that decision to fire Lawal Daura questioned, to have it considered for possible reversal, to have some people who think they own the country use it as a basis to question my loyalty to the president, to have them instigate my isolation and emasculation, was all that I needed to pen my resignation.”
This is absurd and mischievous to say because the sack of Lawal Daura is one of the best decisions undertaken by the Vice President, who was acting president then.
Nigerians, including opposition politicians, lauded the VP for his quick decision and swift action of firing the DSS boss—without recourse to familiarity or political friendship—for invading the National Assembly. The VP’s passion for Rule of law and democracy was the reason for his decision. The Vice president believes in rule of law and due process.
There was absolutely no fracas between the Vice President and his principal after the sack. The garbage written by Damages was another dry thought borne out of unreasonable imagination as a result of too much marijuana intake.
Rudolph has again displayed clear signs that he is a damaged personality with a defective brain and distorted reasoning. He has, on many occasions attempted to ridicule Vice President Yemi Osinbajo through his senseless writings, dry parodies and uninteresting satires.
They are strewn with wild figments of his rascally imaginations and concocted pieces of garbage that are designed to disparage the erudite VP.
Most of them appear in the form of video satires which are often dry and lack fiber of humour or are even reasonable enough for any normal human to digest the message behind it.
He boasts of having a footprint in political satire, which he started during the Jonathan administration, precisely nine years ago. But in contrast, he has reduced himself to a tool being used by some underground players to attack personalities like Vice President Osinbajo as his own effort at clout chasing.
A writer and journalist he claims to be, yet he has succeeded in ridiculing this art through his unprofessional conduct and unintelligent act. Even a kindergarten will string together something more coherent and more reasonable, that will be appealing to the public space than his infantile displays. He has succeeded in reducing himself to public scorn.
He has been grappling to survive after being broke for a while, and he thinks he can survive by attacking the Vice President incessantly to get his attention. He claims to be a Post-Colonial African History teacher in New York, yet his daily routine is fixated on VP Osinbajo. Well, the Vice President is very busy with official duties and at the same time recuperating from his recent surgery. The least he needs at the moment is a distraction.
Also, in November 2021, damages wrote a parody letter titled “How To Avoid Being Sued By Osinbajo.” He parodied a letter by the VP’s lawyer in which the lawyer had addressed the public against broadcasting certain defamatory posts which were obviously maligning the VP.
These and many others are clear proof that Damages is trying by every means possible to get the attention of the Vice President. His futile attempt to paint a bad picture of the VP in public space is affecting his brain in a way that he suddenly has an uncontrollable orgasm whenever he thinks of the Vice President’s name.
Never in the history of Nigeria has a Vice President been called upon to intervene in national issues, and never before has a Vice President been very proactive and active like VP Osinbajo.
It has become obvious that Damages has a mental disconnect and cognitive dissonance from reality and the current wave of things in the political environment in Nigeria because a lot of Nigerians know that the Prof. Osinbajo has crossed his constitutional boundary as a Vice President to deliver the best he can despite the limit his office can do. The future will be kind to him.
Damages can continue with his dry parodies and empty satires. There will be no more response from me, and neither does he deserve any response or reaction from anywhere except to excoriate his arrant nonsense!

Politics / Re: 10 Things That Will Happen If Tinubu Wins by Naijabad: 12:22pm On Aug 13, 2022
ScamHunter:
I was one of those who predicted that Buhari presidency would be marked by retrogression and bloodshed. Now that was easy. Although like most Africans, Nigerians find strategic thinking laborious, if you have a little strategic insight, you would know what the leadership of any of those contesting portends for the country. For Mr Bola Tinubu, here are 10 things that are sure to happen if he becomes president.

1. A Tinubu's presidency would move against most of Buhari's policies, especially the ethnic-centered decisions that gave the Fulani undue advantage in the economy. Tinubu would remove all the Fulani heading southern ports and replace them with his men. This means that agencies like NPA which Buhari is using as his eye on southern ports of Apapa, Tin Can and Onne would be manned by Yoruba.

2. Boko Haram would become more daring and restart their conquest of territories. There will be a stronger collaboration between ISWAP and Fulani militia. Since these groups are against "fake Islam" and having such ruling them, their renewed onslaught against the country would intensify.

3. Boko Haram would become stronger, emboldened by having a strong support in government. They will overtake ISWAP as the dominant terror group in the country since they would exploit their political influence to acquire more weapons. We saw them take over hardware seized from Nigerian Army during this regime. In Tinubu's regime, BH would have access to high grade military equipment using their moles in the government to get them. They will also acquire more armor piercing missiles.

4. Southern ports in Lagos and the boundary with Benin Republic would be relaxed to help SW economy. The northern borders with Niger, Cameroon and Chad would be tightened to fight insecurity. The same would happen to the southern border with The Cameroons.

5. Biafra agitation would increase because Tinubu would continue with Buhari's policy of exclusion of the Southeast and the South-south, who didn't vote them.

6. Tinubu will work to curry the favor of Fulani and won't demonstrate the will needed to fight the ongoing genocide. So the killings and ethnic cleansing of the Middlebelt and indigenous northern communities will continue. The onslaught will be more as the Fulani militia feels the reprisals of a more balanced military.

7. Tinubu will try to spread the control of security agencies between his allies and Yoruba personnel. His people will defend him by saying he did better than Buhari who appointed ONLY Fulani to head security agencies in the country. Tinubu would appoint Yoruba and Fulani to head security agencies.

8. The economy will continue on its downward slide since Tinubu has no roadmap. The corruption and looting of resources would continue. The only difference this time is that the looters would be mainly Yoruba unlike now Fulani are in charge.

9. Inflation will be at an all-time-high because of the impact of borrowings. Tinubu would spend half his presidency blaming Buhari for borrowing trillions. He would also claim that servicing the debt burden is the reason the Nigerian economy has collapsed, not corruption.

10. Tinubu's vice, Shettima would wield a lot of influence because Tinubu would get weaker with age. In a couple of years, he would be at loggerheads with Shettima whose influence would start overshadowing Tinubu. The north would move to have Tinubu impeached, that has been the vision of the north in any case. To grab power through the back door by foisting a weak old southerner on the country in 2023, if Atiku didn't win.

Bola Tinubu as a person does not believe in the unity of the country. That doesn't mean that he doesn't believe in benefiting from that unity. He is eyeing the presidency for such benefits. Tinubu also isn't very religious, but he is aware of the need to exploit religious sentiments for his personal benefit.

TINUBU WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA. MARK MY WORDS.

Anyone who says Nigeria cannot disintegrate doesn't know what is coming up next year.

What in the world makes it impossible for Nigeria to disintegrate? No one has answered this question.

The government of Sudan once said that the country can never be separated. They were so sure that it wouldn't but those who are bent on leaving the contraption worked tirelessly until they had their freedom.

BIAFRA will be free. The prelude will be the release of MNK who has rejected bribe in millions of USD from the jittery FGN.

I see MNK bring the first elected president of Federal Republic of Biafra and he will serve only one term and will be remembered and regarded in the likes of Mandela.

Something is going on in the background. But igbos are forever united. Of course, there are some black sheep in our midst the same way there were black sheep back then in South Sudan.

Igbos must have referendum and 99% will vote for BIAFRA.
