In Preparatory to a peaceful and hitch free election in Ondo, IGP Idris Ibrahim was in Akure today, where straight from the airport, he started by reading the riot act to the police, to ensure a non partisan involvement in the coming governorship election.

He called on journalists, to appeal to all politicians and stake holders, to team up with one another, so that the election could meet the aspirations of the people, as well as pass all the credibility tests in order for it to be adjudged free and fair. He attended a stakeholders interactive meeting along with the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, with the theme" state of readiness and general conduct of the election".

In attendance were the contestants or representatives of all the 28 political parties that would be participating in the election.

IGP Idris made it clear to all that, the police would not connive with anyone, to compromise the conduct or credibility of the election.

Friends, associates and prominent Ondo State citizens in Lagos State and environs organised a fund raising dinner for Barr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) ambition to become Ondo State Gov yesterday evening .

All speakers at the event gave good account of the APC guber candidate as a man to be trusted and competent above all others in d race for Ondo govt house. "With him as a Gov, Nigeria and Ondo State still have hope of becoming a better place" says Engr Funso Kupolokun at the event. The fund raising dinner took place at d Civic Center, Victoria-Island , Lagos.

The governorship candidate was at d event with his Deputy Gov candidate, Barr Agboola Ajayi.

The Executive Governor of Kano State
Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR and the
Progressive Governors of the APC under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Owele Rochas Okorocha the Executive Governor of Imo state paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, His Highness Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi at his Palace.
Governor Rochas Okorocha said the
Governors are in Kano State for a
meeting as well as the 1st Lagislative Parley where lectures will be delivered at the event. The Governors will also inspect as well as commission some projects executed
by the administration of Governor
Ganduje.
His Highness Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi
the Emir of Kano thanked the delegation for choosing Kano as a venue and their visit to the Palace.
He urged them to keep doing policies
and projects that will impact on
people's lives positively. He reminded them the significant role Kano played in electing the APC into government especially the votes they gave APC.

ONDO GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION CANNOT BE
POSTPONED ON ACCOUNT OF PDP’S INTERNAL CRISIS.
The attention of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) is drawn to a bizarre
request by a faction of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the
November 26 governorship election in
Ondo State on account of the PDP’s
internal crisis.
The PDP in continuation of its wild
conspiracies on the Ondo Governorship
Election has also accused the APC of
colluding with the judicial system,
INEC and security agencies to manipulate”the outcome of the Ondo
State governorship election.
The PDP crisis and the aftermath
governorship candidate tussle within
its ranks are self-inflicted and the
PDP cannot hold Ondo state and indeed the country hostage on account of its internal crisis. Instead of making the ridiculous election postponement request on INEC, the PDP should focus and redirect its energy towards putting its house in order.
The APC is not party to any scheme
to subvert justice and undermine the
very progressive and participatory
democracy which the APC fiercely
stands for.
The APC calls on INEC to ignore PDP’s bizarre request and concentrate on delivering a free, fair, credible
and transparent ballot on election
day.
The Ondo electorate are wise and will vote for the candidate with a proven track record of performance on election day. A vote for the tested,
trusted and credible APC governorship
candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN will
bring about massive multi-faceted
development which has eluded the
state.

All Progressives Congress (APC) in
Ekiti State had decamped the party
to join Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This happened during PDP Ado Local Govt Monthly meeting held @ ward 9 Oke
Ese in Ado ekiti .
Speaking on behalf of the defectors
Mr Bada Ganiyu and Oluwasegun
Ogunsakin, who spoke on behalf of
others stated reasons why they decamped to PDP, Said landmark achievements of Gov. Ayodele Fayose within two years in office had superseded all that were achieved in the last two administrations in the state.
"They said the main reason why they
decided to dump their former party
was because of the enviable character
of the governor.
Another person who pleaded that his
name should not be mentioned, described Foyose as pace setter ,
record maker and breaker who is using
native intelligence to transform
every sector.
While welcoming the defectors, The
Executive Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local
govt. Hon Deji Ogunsakin and Ado Local PDP Chairman Hon. Bamisile said the new members shall be treated in the party like other members.

defectors at the meeting include:
