The relationship between Stingomania records and two of her Artistes; BABA Nee and Trybson Dudukoko have gone sour. The two artistes were signed to the label two years ago. Trybson popularly known for playing the role of DaGrin in Ghetto Dreamz, a movie produced by stingomania entertainment. And Baba Nee is famous for making the soundtrack of popular Yoruba movie, Omo Getto that has become a hit on the street.

Both Baba Nee and Dudukoko who are planning to quit Stingomania records have been accused of breach of contracts by their Label boss, Ope Banwo.

Ope Banwo also the producer of DaGrin biopic, Ghetto Dreamz announced this via his facebook page yesterday

"STINGOMNIA PUBLIC NOTICE ON BABA NEE AND TRYBSON: In addition to my PUBLIC CAVEAT EMPTOR THAT ALL MEDIA HOUSES (Radio stations, TV Stations, Promoters, Corporate bodies, etc) will be receiving in the next few days, I AM USING THIS PUBLIC MEDIUM TO PUT EVERYONE ON NOTICE that Stingomania Records has EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS BY CONTRACT to all the MUCIAL WORKS AND VIDEOS of BABA NEE AND TRYBSON and until thiis contractual dispute is resolved, WE ARE WITHDRAWING ALL CONSENTS TO ANYBODY TO UTILIZE THEIR WORKS OR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. Ope Banwo who claimed they've sold the rights to their music outright for 5 years to Stingomania records responded on whta caused the disputes between the Artistes and the label

"All Public have witnessed Stingomania's work and promotion on their behalf in the last 2yrs for which we have NOT HAD ANY RETIRNS (Omo Ghetto Soundtrack, Ghetto Dreamz, Music videos, productions, publicity, tireless promotions etc) and now they just said becos I have not spent enough money on them in the last 3 months after spending over N12M on just the two of them they started libelling the company and said they are walking away without so much as a 'THANK YOU' for our efforts. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. Unfortunately for them, I am not the kind of guy who will work away becos of the possible adverse publicity or distraction this will cause. I BELEIVE IN FIGHTING FOR WHATS RIGHT. This is NO LONGER ABOUT MONEY BUT ABOUT THE DIRECTION OF OUR ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW as an example to other upcoming artistes so they will understand that you don’t beg someone to spend time and money on you, ejoy millions of naira in benefits, sign a contract with them and then just turn around to walk away at any time it suits you after getting benefits. So I came across this very unusual story of one of Nigeria's hottest music crew, Choc boiz made up of MI, Jesse Jagz, Iceprince, and Brymo. For most hiphop acts, it hasn't been a smooth journey, same is the story of these five music acts called Choc boiz.

They talked about how they overcame all odds on their road to fame. From how they all took the risk of quitting school for music, to coming all the way from Jos to Lagos to start music.

MI never agreed he dropped out of school like Jesse Jagz did. He abandoned school because he couldn't fund his education any longer. Jesse Jagz dropped out willingly when he couldn't express his music creativity while in school. He was in 400level already studying law when he sat with his Dad and both agreed on him leaving school for music. In the case of Iceprince, he was in the process of getting into school when his music career took off. So he quit studying zoology for music. Brymo who had claimed he never regret leaving school made up his mind at 17 to start music instead. He was in his 2nd year in LASU when he left school - his Parents couldn't afford paying his fees.

MI still willing to get back to school, but as for Iceprince and Jesse Jagz, they don't belong to that 'school of thought' anymore. 

MI started with gospel music, listening to Jos based gospel musician, Panam Percy Paul, Ron Kennoly. And later fell in love with hiphop after listening to rapper, DMX debut album in 1997.

"When my father was young, he had a friend called Gyang Dung. Both of them got married at the same time-they were best friends and are both pastors. And each gave birth to a male child. My father’s son was born on October 1, 1981 and he was named Jude. Gyangdung’s son called Jeremiah Gyang was born on the 13th of October, 1981. So I’ve known Jeremiah Gyang all my life. When I came
back to Nigeria, Jeremiah was already signed on to Chocolate City. And the first time Chocolate City came to look for him in Jos, at that time, we look at him like a god. At that time when he gives us twenty thousand Naira, the money was like gold to us. But gradually, Jeremiah became a star and he brought me to Lagos and Abuja for shows. This is a creative manipulation of the light. I call this unrealistic version of the real Queen. Lol

I know most shoots for magazines, social media and others are photoshopped, as you know, people stop at nothing for perfection. So some hiphop heads thinks Iceprince shouldn't have made the list saying he's not good at freestyling. Iceprince had claimed he's not a good freestyler during Tim Westwood show where he read his lines from his blackberry in the freestyle section.

And I wonder if mainstream rappers freestyle anymore. I've watched the likes of lil'wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, Mos Def go in on BET Cypher and noticed they just recycled used line. Since BET has informed the rappers ahead, I think most rappers do write and memorize their lines. So Iceprince and other rappers who are not good at freestyling won't have problem with that

Nigerian female rapper, Sasha who was once rumoured to be romantically involved with naeto C has kept her private life mostly under wraps.

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Zack Orji who claims to be an ordained evangelist is planning to step into the music world. The actor who has been missing on the big screen for a while now played town the rumour making rounds that he has quit acting for evangelism just like Liz Benson.

It was everywhere at some point that you have an album that you are working on, but for a while now, we have not heard anything about it, how far?

I haven’t had time to complete the album. We are almost done with it. We are just waiting to do the final mixing and mastering but it’s almost ready. And
then, my son is on it too, we are actually working on that in the studio right now as well. He has more than ten songs ready but we are working on the two
promotional songs that will be sent to radio stations and Dee-Jays.

What is your genre of music?
