JosephYemsol: Aiit then. Thanks so much. Can I pay my 1 year fees as against the first semester fees that the school has asked me to pay? Yes you can, login to your student portal, go to financial, then fees, then my invoice, then confirm both invoices then proceed with the payment |

mcobex: It happens like that in all airports, you can change very little (especially if you have to pay for taxi or buy something at the airport), but your main exchange should be when you settle down in your city Alright thank you |

JosephYemsol: Nairaluck I greet you. I wanna ask, I made my initial deposit fees of 1500kcad to conestoga via the cibc international student pay. A friend of mine n cad assisted with the payment (360N/1). It's been 3 days now and the payment hasn't gotten to Conestoga. Is it wrong for me to use a friends credit card to pay? Abi na traffic too much en route to conestoga....pls assist. No it's not out of place, lately they've been this delay with payment reflecting, if you payment was successful then exercise more patience it will definitely reflect. A friend of mine paid same about 3weeks ago through Western Union Business Solution, it took about 8 business days to reflect as against the normal 72hrs as at August. I am also expecting one other payment to reflect through same Western Union Business Solution it's day 3 now. It will definitely reflect, PATIENCE |

JORDAN55: IF YOU ARE JUST COMING TO CANADA AND YOU HAVE USD DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MONEY TO CAD AT THE AIRPORT, THE RATES ARE TERRIBLE ,AND THERE IS ALSO A COMMISION ON EACH TRANSACTION. The woman at travelex told me the rate is 1usd - 1.11 cad but something told me not to change it, when i got to my apartment, I told my friend to help me change it and she changed it at the bank for a rate of 1usd- 1.28 cad without any commission at all
Just thought to share Thank you bro, I was planning to change at the airport, thank you once again for this information |

Rickywowoz: I really have no idea how to pay from Nigeria. I'm sure some people here have done it, they might be able to help. Our cards are limited, so it can't pay the entire amount at once. So if you know anyone in Canada, or Nigeria who has a funded $ DOM Account, you can contact them to help you. Note: they determine their exchange rate not the Market, but there's room for negotiation. |

adeenzo: I tracked my passport and got the following update: The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 2020/12/16. Does this mean that my passport is now with DHL? Because I did a 2-way courier service with DHL and I tried tracking the return WAYBILL NO, on DHL's website but it's not showing the package has been received. Do I get in touch with DHL or Abuja VFS? Yes, expect it between today and Monday max |

Lekiboboe: I be wan ask a question oo
Something dey confuse me for here
There are two Visa Stamps on my Eagle
FIRST PAGE is CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE, some contents were cancelled with dark ink, while some were left e.g Date of Issue, Issued at, Category, No of entries etc.
SECOND PAGE is clean but noticed some of the contents were quite different from the first page
Saw two years in the first page e.g 6/10/2020 to 28/9/2022, Multiple
Saw One year in the second page e.g 14/11/2020 to 29/11/2021, Multiple
What does this signify?
What does MULTIPLE mean?
Thanks Multiple there means MULTIPLE ENTRY, meaning within that one year of study if you decide to visit another country or your home country during scheduled break, you don't need to reapply for a new visa, just pay your flight ticket, this visa covers you for 1year |

evergold: After about a year of pursuing my work permit, I am happy to announce that I finally have my passport in my hands.
It's been a nerve-racking journey. Unfortunately, I only found this group last month. I wish I have found it earlier because there is just too much valuable information here.
One thing I can do for those that will come after me is these:
1. If you need to pay for school fees and your card is not going, I can help you pay from next year 2. If you are coming to Toronto and need a place to stay for at most two weeks, I can accommodate you from the 26th of December this year 3. If you need a friend in Toronto to gist with, to cruise with and to have fun with, I will be available for you after my quarantine
I have benefitted a lot from this group and I will like to pay it forward.
If you are ever transiting through Toronto and need a place to crash, let me know. I am paying for a 1 bedroom + Den in Toronto after I leave quarantine and I will be glad to accommodate you as long as it is not more than two weeks.
I am travelling using Ethiopian Airlines on December 25th and I have already booked a whole apartment for quarantine. Anyone is free to stay with me during that 2 weeks.
It has ended in praise peeps. Congratulations ❣️, for number 2 I'll land in Toronto this month, I'll be interested for that two weeks accommodation. It will be highly appreciated |

Akannitommy: Hello,
The eagle finally landed a few minutes ago. I didn't get UPS tracking but I knew it was in transit after the full day phone wahala with VFS on Monday. I got 5 emails from them in the last 48 hours and my application status changed twice on the VFS platform during the same period.
I got a call just before 9am and I knew it was the UPS delivery man. I cut off an international call (with a friend in New Zealand) to pick up. Lo and behold, I was right. I rushed to the street junction to meet him. I only showed my ATM cards and old national ID and he was satisfied. After I signed for it, I went to the ATM and dashed him "5 Pieces of Cowries". The guy wanted to disappear into thin air.
To God be the Glory. Montreal here we come! To those expectant, your joys shall be fuller very soon.
#It Has Finally Ended in Praise - @Frank and Frat...@Kim, I sight you all! Amen, and Congratulations ❣️. my own is I usually don't get any email since 30th Nov. All this 5, 4th email I nor receive anyone apart from LOI, today's Day 16 and I remain positive |

The "living in Canada" thread is not directly relevant to our situation post-approval. Most of the time, discussions on that page are for PR folks. Please help look into it. Gracias, Chiefo! Ikechuqu: Pls ooo... how do you guys pay for Airbnb? Is the value quoted in US or CAD dollars? I’m trying find a cheaper option than the $950 my school is asking to pay for 14days quarantine. It's quoted in USD, you must pay here or contact someone who has USD to pay for you. And yes I have seen some Airbnb between $579 to $690 |
