A bridegroom named as David Jiet Chawul, died on Monday evening, two days after his wedding on Saturday 10th, Aug, 2019.

David Jiet committed suicide when his newly wedded wife confessed that she was pregnant for another man.

Mr. David Jiet from Agaar community of Rumbek, a biological brother of Gen. Saed Chawul the former Inspector General of Police, wedded Rebecca Ekuen from Yirol on Saturday in freedom Hall in Juba.

Jiet is a graduate of New Generation University College based in Ethiopia.
The family describes the incident as "unfortunate and untimely"

The lady identified as Laurenta, conspired with her boyfriend to commit the said act after lodging in the hotel for one week. The receptionist's guard was let down after the lady claimed her boyfriend was retaining the hotel room after being spotted leaving with a "Ghana Must Go Bag" which had the TV inside. It was also learnt that her boyfriend who stole the hotel's towel, umbrella and key left 3 hours later with claim of buying something.

Upon being traced to her sister's house, the hotel's management were told that Laurenta was subjected to mob action earlier after stealing N800k from a guy who slept with with. The matter was taken to court and she was almost jailed with her boyfriend. Laurenta however confessed to the crime when dragged to the hotel and she reportedly said she used the TV to get a loan of N5k. The TV has been retrieved from the men who loaned her the money.

A BRIDE’S mum has been slammed online after she wore a matching bridal gown to her daughter on her big day.
In fact the women’s dresses were so similar that people have mistaken the nuptials for a same sex ceremony.


Taking to Reddit the wedding guest shared a snap of the mother and daughter together captioning the snap: “Playing Matchy Matchy with her daughter – the Bride.”

And fellow redditors were outraged by the snap which received dozens of comments slamming the mother-of-the-bride’s choice in outfit.


One wrote: “Such a tacky thing to do. Lady, time to let the kids shine, you had your day, so get over it, you’re NOT the bride!”

Agreeing another added: “Jesus, I hope this was planned.

"I mistook it for a vow renewal or a lesbian wedding"

“The bride looks happy enough I guess and no one has spilled wine on the mother’s dress.”

A third commented: “I would kill my mother if she pulled something like this. She wouldn’t even dare, but I’d be spending my honeymoon in prison.”

Another wrote: “Mistook it for a vow renewal or a lesbian wedding.”

“Thought it was a lesbian wedding…” said one.

However, the wedding guest confirmed that the mum was simply a guest and had been divorced for “several years.”
