nwoke39:Is your GDP $40 billion? Since your manufacturing is a mere $4 billion yet you claim it constitutes 10% of your GDP. |
theenchanter:You're a special case. Not worth my time. |
GERALD710:When you see someone bragging over a growth rate of -13.4% you know you're dealing with a dimwit. I wonder, is it the negative that he doesn't understand? I wouldn't be surprised considering all the bs he's been spewing here. ![]() |
theenchanter:You're going into too much unnecessary BS bro. For someone who doesn't even understand what PPP is no matter how many links you post here your knowledge on economics remains questionable. Thing is, you guys have been bragging too much about manufacturing only to realize your manufacturing is worth a mere $4 billion a year which is pathetic especially for a country whose population is approaching 200 million. See - SA's manufacturing is worth $30 billion and there just a fraction of you guys in population yet they don't spend time boasting how they're manufacturing giants. You've embarrassed yourself bigtime. |
theenchanter:Thank you for not continuing with your PPP bullshit. I see you've learnt now. Manufacturing per capita is simply the value of manufacturing in a country divided by the total population. BTW, please desist making those boastful manufacturing comments you've been making here. Your manufacturing is useless - just like Kenya's. Sit down and be humble. Real manufacturing giants are laughing at you now. |
theenchanter:You Nigerians are a funny lot. Even when you're beaten hands down you still boast as if you won. lol. You just proved yourself your manufacturing is shit and not worth mentioning. At least we Kenyans never brag about manufacturing because we know we are not doing good there. Funny thing I always thought Nigeria was doing better than Kenya in manufacturing - you just opened my eyes. I now realize Kenya manufactures more per capita than Nigeria. |
theenchanter:I asked you to show me the value of Nigeria's manufacturing. You showed me the value in Naira and I used the current conversion rates to convert it into dollars. Interestingly you still mentioned PPP even before I converted. Makes me wonder, do you really understand what you're talking about or you just throwing around BS to respond to an argument? Do you even know what PPP is? Since when does one use PPP to convert one currency to another? Are you mad or just stupid? |
theenchanter:BTW, thank you for giving me that link. It's really exposing you. It's really a summary of how Kenya is better than Nigeria in almost everything. ![]() GDP Growth rate Kenya = 1.3% Nigeria = -13.4% Unemployment rate Kenya = 11% Nigeria = 18.6% Inflation rate Kenya = 3.94% Nigeria = 11% Internet Speed Kenya = 12160 KBps Nigeria = 3854 KBps |
theenchanter:Were we discussing PPP or manufacturing? Like I said before, you guys are experts at changing goals whenever you're cornered. ![]() |
theenchanter:From your source...... Kenya's GDP from manufacturing = KES 104,146,000,000 = $1 billion - per capita = $22 Nigeria's GDP from manufacturing = ₦ 1,595,564,000,000 = $4 billion - per capita = $21 Really? Is that what you've been boasting over all through? Remember since 2016 your economy has shrunk by 25% while Kenya's economy has grown by 25% meaning currently our manufacturing is definitely over $1 billion while you'rs is definitely below $4 billion. The more you argue the more you expose yourself. If you recheck your source you'll also realize Kenyans earn more monthly than Nigerians. Perhaps if you read your source well you'd realize you hit yourself on the foot. ![]() |
rvp2018:Yap, using the real exchange rate their GDP is $270 billion making their GDP per capita $1459. |
rvp2018:These guys are desperate villagers who only hear their delusional brothers from Lagos boast how Lagos is the greatest city in the world and they believe all the crap. Most of them don't even know what the real Lagos looks like. ![]() |
nograv:Why are you using figures of 2016 when we are in 2018? Don't you know Nigeria's GDP is decreasing while Kenya's is increasing at a high rate? In 2018, Kenya GDP per capita - 1790 Nigeria GDP per capita - 1994 I've said here several times that your GDP per capita was almost 3 times ours in 2014 now they're almost equal. In the next two years we'll definitely be ahead of you. A good percentage of your GDP is drawn from oil which ends up in foreign pockets of mining companies - reason why despite your slight advantage over us on GDP per capital, our civil servants earn more than your civil servants. |
jaycent:So you're asking him to stop posting photos of Angola yet you're posting a photo of Singapore and claiming it's Lagos? lol..............you guys are so desperate. At least he didn't lie. What kind of idiot would believe Lagos can look anything like that anyway. Seems we're arguing with villagers who've never stepped in Lagos here. www.nairaland.com/attachments/7280724_lagos_jpeg43ed40f8110532170a238b9b87cf1722 |
nograv:So you think you know more about these men than I do? |
NigeriaIsDoomed:You're right. A few skyscrapers are not a benchmark for measuring wealth. Neither are a few billionaires. We use HDI, average earnings, life expectancy, access to education, health, electricity, quality of infrastructure, literacy levels etc which you guys still lag behind. |
NigeriaIsDoomed:I like the way you guys love changing topics whenever you're cornered. Someone said rich people in Kenya are mostly foreigners, I prove him wrong now it's about how rich people in Kenya would fare in Nigeria. lol. |
theenchanter:Would you mind telling us the total value of Nigeria's manufacturing please? |
nograv:Are you speaking your wishes or things you understand? Here is a list of richest people in Kenya. Tell me how many of those are of foreign heritage. http://theafricanewspost.info/top-50-richest-families-in-kenya-list/ |

GERALD710:I tell you most of these guys live in an ignorance bliss. That's why they see themselves as giants when they're crap. |
TayserMahiri:Hahaha! trust you he will. He is useless like that. ![]() |
Danielnino00:I see you've woken up from the heart attack now. Didn't I tell you not to put too much hope in these super chickens? Wait till Argentina clobbers you 5-0. This time watch it in a hospital room. Free advice. ![]() |
TayserMahiri:The good thing about Kenya is, we accept when we are not good enough. We all agree Kenya has some good football talent but due to KFF mismanagement and embezzlement of funds coupled with the lack of will by the government to invest in football, we suck big time. We also understand that despite being undisputed continental champions in some games like women's volleyball, we suck big time at the global arena. Meanwhile these brothers of ours from the west are more closer to us in football than to real global giants but they talk here like they're world champions and are quick to pride themselves on how they shine in the only sport that matters in this world. ![]() https://scontent.fnbo3-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/35401567_10160236442385478_6016688959046811648_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=64de9c39e492f2d5353d1e1eb3d6d35d&oe=5BC32C52 |
TayserMahiri:I told Danielnino00 that football is still underdeveloped in Africa when he kept dissing Kenyans for not playing football and he thought I was just hating. I said here, maybe Senegal can try and reach the quarter finals - the other team with little hopes (of reaching quarterfinals) is Egypt which is practically an Arab country. Just like Saudi Arabia, Nigeria only qualifies for world cup because of the quotas otherwise the only continents that have world cup worthy teams are Europe and South America. The rest are shit. At least Kenya, when we say we are good at some sport, we are globally good. |
Danielnino00:This is so desparate dude. Nigeria sucks at football. Stop comparing it it with Brazil lol. What will you be comparing next? Abeokuta to New York? ![]() I like the fact that you agree Nigeria 'also begged the whites' to teach them football too. But as usual, a Nigerian always credits the whites when it's a non-Nigerian African. PS.... Any country that is really good in any sport becomes famous for it and Brazil is good in football. Nigeria however...................well, let me not go into it. ![]() |
Danielnino00:I guess football was invented in Nigeria. You people with your low self esteem and white people worship. lol. |
Danielnino00:Lagos is a city. Kenya is a country. Compare Lagos to Nairobi and see. Furthermore, the figures you give for Lagos GDP aren't really reliable, some of you say it's $90 Billion, others $136 - which is which? .............and considering Nigeria's GDP shrunk from apeak of $568 billion in 2014 to $376 billion in 2018, what makes you think Lagos GDP is still that big? Going by those figures, I doubt if Lagos GDP goes beyond $60 billion. In fact the few reliable sources I get place it at $45 billion - equal to Nairobi ($44 billion) yet with four times Nairobi's population. |
sufferNsmiling:These people are so delusional. See Obaboon for instance, he's googled my name and knows every forum I contribute to yet gets excited that I checked his profile. Mark you, I checked his profile because he kept alluding to my comments on a different site. Then he comes here and lies that he comes on Nairaland to 'read news here and catch up on sports events and a lot of other things on nairaland' yet he joined Nairaland for this thread and all his posts are on this very thread. I tell you the delusions and stupidity I have encountered on this forum are appalling. ![]() |
naijalander:Unaweza kuwa shabiki ukitaka lakini hata wewe unajua Naijeria haina chake hapa. Hilo kundi lenu ni Croatia na Argentina wataenda. Nigeria only plays in world cup because football is yet to develop in Africa but honestly it's a far cry from a real world cup worthy team. |
naijalander:Lol, you're going to drop out in group stages. Nigeria is a joke in football. My African hopes are on Senegal. |
