Furthermore make your friend understand Urbanization and development are not the same thing. Most rural areas in Kenya are more developed than cities such as Onitsha and Abeokuta in Nigeria.

Recently a UK based indian company took control of nigerian diamond bank plc ( the UK based subsidiary )

Also MTN Nigeria is now firmly in control of indian shareholders who control 75% of it.

U see any person to his hearts content can dance around these businesses deals , but then the fact remains that that's all he or she can do. While trans national business will be go on as usual in the age of globalisation .

Compare the wages farmers (plus their workers) earn in Kenya to what their counterparts in Nigeria do. Literally in every service and on every scale a Kenyan has to be paid more than a Nigerian. Starting from the minimum wage level.

One thing I've realized about these guys is, they love making comparisons between Lagos which is their economic capital to the whole of Kenya to make it look like Lagos is far ahead. They think we are idiots like them. Economic capitals have a disproportional higher concentration of wealth than the rest of the country. Same way comparing Nairobi to the whole of Nigeria will make it look like we are far ahead.

All in all, even if we were to assume his numbers are correct, we still beat them considering They're four times our population with less than twice our number in tech-hubs.
