iblawi: Do I have to give you common sense by force?
ne barrel = 159 litres (crude oil)
From 159 liters of crude oil how many liters of Petrol, kerosene, diesel, aviation fuel, petrol chemical etc will you get?
What I was telling you is that you will only get 2.5 million liters of fuel(petrol) from 70,000bpd refinery. You're very stupid. What's your IQ? Did you go to school? I won't even go into asking you where you got the 70k figure or explaining to you that Kenya imports both refined fuels and raw crude oil. I'll use the examples you gave. 1 barrel of crude oil produces about 19 gallons of Petrol on average. 19 gallons of petrol = 72 litres. 72 x 70000 = 5,034,000litres. Where on earth are you getting 2.5M? You're very useless. No wonder you keep on talking of common sense......it's clearly a defense mechanism since you don't have any. |

iblawi: Can someone help this boy download COMMON SENSE from Google play store?
How did you get 2017 figures when we are still in the middle of 2017?
Many countries don't even have real 2016 figures ready yet. Most are estimated.
You have to wait till 2018 before you get 2017 GDP figures dummy. It's not my fault that you're so lacking in knowledge.......is it poor education standards or most Nigerians are just dumb because I've seen this quite a lot of times from Nigerians here? http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/Ethiopia-opens-Sh371bn-gap-Kenya-economy/539546-3941174-v88t53/ |

iblawi: 70,000 barrels per day is the capacity of Kenyans refinery. If you tell me that is enough for Kenya then it means you guys are excluding 2/3 of Kenyans from Kenya just like you do on electricity.
That will only produce less than 2.5 million liters of fuel per day. Nigeria consumes about 40 million liters per day so divide that by 4 we should expect Kenya to have almost 10 million liters per day capacity on the average. One barrel = 159 litres 70,000 barrels = 11,130,000 litres which is slightly more than 1/4 of Nigeria's putting our per capita consumption higher. I thought that was common sense. Perhaps you should be the one downloading the common sense app.......BOY. |

Hbuyosh: Never heard of the Edo, perhaps it is because of their little influence in Nigeria. I only know about the Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis.....Gosh! Only these?
Shockingly enough, Luos bear the same appearance, mannerisms and names veeery similar with the igbos of Nigeria, some people have even speculated that the two tribes are probably related. They seem to have a lot in common.
Luos are knowned more for their arrogance than for good looks. Actually, Luo's names and mannerisms are similar to Yoruba and not Igbo. Igbos are more Kikuyuish. Yoruba's names begin with O and A mostly, they more often end in consonants and they're dark skinned, proud and are so keen on education which they occasionally boast over. |

Shaytun: They have no major industry in kenya, I have told them before 2000mw is to small for a country that want to develop. Heck Nigeria electricity grid capacity is currently at 7200 mw of electricity and yet it is till not enough.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/221143-nigeria-notionally-hit-7000-mw-electricity-fashola.html I once heard that we need about 180,000 mw of electricity to achieve full industrial growth, and yet some people are celebrating 2000mw of electricity.
Check the kenya unemployment figure, for a country of small population there unemployment level is bewildering. Did you even read your article from the link or you can't comprehend English? Lol |

Nowenuse: Look.
Nigeria did not have the same political history as most countries in Africa. Southern Nigeria was a different colonial entity from Northern Nigeria. They have been different political entities to a large extent.
If you want to say the most developed states or geo-political zone in Nigeria, fine, but not Southern Nigeria which was initially meant to be a country of it's own independent from Northern Nigeria, if not for an amalgamation/unification. Every country is unique in its own way. Stop this BS of trying to draw a line between Nigeria and "other African countries". Same way. Nigeria's history is very different from Kenya's is the same way Kenya's is from Ethiopia's, Ethiopia is from SA's, SA is from Ghana's and so on. Once more if Nigeria is to develop then the whole of Nigeria has to. You can't claim you're doing well by singling out the small percentage of those who are doing well. |

Shaytun: Keep comparing yourself with a country that is obviously far ahead of you.
While Ethiopia and tanzania are sweeping your economy rug from under you.
Listen to what one of your own paul Mwangi has to say.
The reality is that gone are the days when we were the “island of peace” in an unpredictable and violent part of the world. Over time, the world around us has changed, but we are yet to wake up and smell the coffee. Ethiopia is no longer in civil war and is quickly becoming a better investment opportunity for manufacturers both due to the low price of its electricity and the size of its population, about 90 million people. It is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Tanzania is no longer socialist and is now the darling of America. Apart from its own vast mineral, oil and gas deposits, Tanzania is the new gateway to the DRC and is receiving mammoth investment from both China and America. China is building what is being called a “mega port” for Tanzania at Bagamoyo, which is more than 30 times the size of Mombasa, as part of a $10 billion investment package for Tanzania. When completed, it is bound to take away all central Africa business from Mombasa port, which will be left to serve only Kenya and Uganda. ……. Let us stop comparing ourselves with other countries ......meanwhile, Tanzania, your supposed darling of America, has failed to get a loan from the USA to finance it's SGR. The Bagamoyo Mega Port that was only announced because Kenya announced that she was building a mega port at Lamu has been cancelled while Lamu Port construction is top speed. Mombasa port is still taking over Dar's business. I like the way Nigerians quote random blogs here to explain about other countries and calling them facts. lol. |

Nowenuse: That would be unfair because Southern Nigeria is a contiguous geographical division, but those different Kenyan counties aren't. It is the same thing buddy. What you keep talking of is absurd and that's the point I want you to see. Nigeria is Nigeria and you can't boast because the most developed part of Nigeria has a higher HDI than the whole of Kenya. The most developed part of any country is of course way more developed than many countries that are ahead of the said country development wise. If I was to select Muthaiga alone from Nairobi and compare it with the whole of New York city it would be ahead if NY in all economic indicators. Does that make Nairobi more developed than New York? Go figure. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by NairobiWalker(m): 10:47am On May 25, 2017 |
Nowenuse: Southern Nigeria is 50% of Nigeria.
Are Kiambu & Nakuru 50% of Kenya? I could rank Kenyan counties from the wealthiest to the poorest then cut at 50% population and the result would be the same. |

Nowenuse: If you guys take the HDI of Southern Nigeria alone, do you think Ghana or Kenya will come any close?
Nigeria is too complex. This is the reason why many Southern Nigerians are fighting for the division, seccesion and restructuring of Nigeria.
Imagine if Ghana was one country with Burkina faso and Mali. Or Kenya was one country with Somalia and Sudan. Do you think you guys would have progressed as you have now?? You can't measure HDI by choosing the most developed region of a country alone. How about we compare the HDI of Southern Nigeria with the HDI of selected Kenyan counties such as Kiambu and Nakuru? |

Visit Sudan that has thrice Rwanda's GDP per capita and compare the living standards then you'll know some of these figures are crap. |
