Good morning guys . I think it's time I get my first Benz. After research around my budget . I concluded on the 2012 (w204) c350 sport. With the updated interior and engine (m272,E35). I'd like to get advice on long term usage issues (oil consumption,knocking because of of our lack of premium fuel etc) if it has . Parts availablity. And if there was a better choice around this budget(maybe E?) . Moving from a 2010 Lexus GS350. Thank you .

Good evening. pls I need your advice. I make use of Mercedes Benz w202 c240 V6 engine, 12 plugs.using the car since 2015, bought it from cotonour. had issues with the AC, changed the compressor to that of Peugeot, and the belt became longer. AC is working no issue, but I notice the oil is always going short, and brings out white smoke. the mechanic said I need to change the egine, because the plugs are always soaking oil. Could it be changing the AC compressor had caused the engine to go weak. Because I do the car service regularly. Thank you .

So I'm having misfire, hard start, and stalling.

Sometimes I smell fuel in the cabin while driving and there's black smoke from exhaust.

Car has been scanned and two cylinders were found misfiring. Plugs have been changed and still the same. Any leads?

Said car is a 2003 c200 w203

I got this exact cls500 2009 and being that I’ve never used a cls before( used a c300 ) can you all please suggest the engine oil to use, the intervals i need to wait change the oil, brake fluid etc.
I went for it because of the raw power it carries.
The mileage is just 54,000 and everything is still neat.

It’s a v8 with 304hp, but i plan on doing a muffler delete to get that roaring sound, and some tune up to get to 384hp.


Suggestions are welcomed please. I’d like to take care of this baby, like it’s my first love

Ive got some electrical issue with COMMAND on my 08 C300 radio. The radio turns off by itself every 30 minutes. It will display a message to start ignition and go off after 3 minutes.
I can listen to radio, CDs, aux cable and what not but i have to manually turn off my radio when parked and manually turn it on when I drive.

I looked into it more and many people suggested its caused by the iPod kit being faulty and causing a short in the circuit. I checked the ipod cable in the glove box and the ipod wire is mangled, like a dog chewed it. The car came in like that.
I have unplugged the ipod adapter tucked away behind the front safe, still no joy.the harness is still there though, I don't want to toy with the wiring. Some posts claim their issue was sorted after removing the harness.

Also, my volume and call buttons on my steering wheel dont work, the dial pad does not light up and night/day mode display on command doesn't auto switch.
I can't set the time on my dashboard too.

I can live with the issue but I'll prefer to fix it and properly enjoy these function, turning on COMMAND every 30 minutes is a pain in the butt really.

I'll appreciate recommendations of a good tech to sort this out.

Most times the culprit of a bad SAM is water.
You can't reach a conclusion until car is scanned as advised by one of our oga's above.

SAM Can go as high as 250k to 300k the last time I checked.
I have seen situations where it is being opened and cleaned up properly and it starts working properly after. Don't know if its advisable though,but get car scanned.

I have two 1litre bottles of Mobil 0W 30 (came with). mad I can't use them

I don't know much about Benz but I'm being discouraged already cos they say it's too expensive to maintain. Is this so? Again my budget is 3.5m, would that get me a decent ride as specified above?
