But that doesn't make sense, since an 11-year-old car and a 8-year-old car may be exactly the same.

A 2010 W212 and 2013 W212 are identical, for example. Literally the only exterior difference is the fog light design.

A 2009 and 2019 Maserati Granturismo are identical. Same with the Nissan GTR.

The GLK is now more than 10 years old. I guess it looks awful now? What about the Dodge Challenger? The first-gen Audi A7?

You really have time. Some people are just funny.Buy car of so so years as if they will make up the price difference.Absolutely Ludacris

Oga, return the Op money back, many where here before you came to narrate your own side of the business,
but I believe they must have disappointed in you.

Why did you collect his money at first when you know you don't have the gearbox the op requested from you and you decided to send him your own specification?

You are losing clients here and many clients are coming out to testify your bad business with them,
isn't good for a businessman because surely you will lose client here,

Call the Op and return his money, and op don't collect any gearbox from him..
my own contribution.
Well said.

[quote author=Kingdemu post=94569532]No! He admitted UK spec is different just like that of a V6 engine is different. And it is the UK spec he sent according to OP and what he requested for was a US spec gearbox. So it is evident luvimhubby is wrong here but his pride and arrogance as usual will not let him apologise for the long the delay and to do the needful.[/quote

Please don't allow hatred blind you,go back and read what the OP typed ,he said he was sent Europe spec instead of American.

Nakoks sire are you in this together?

I am following....you guys think i am in support of luvinghubby cos i called him.I said we should hear both sides and find a middle ground.I know how it feels to look at it from the perceived arrogance of the seller.i only dealt with him once and no bad experience. He said all gear boxes for baby boy I4 are the same(his bad for not sticking to spec)...that fact we cant establish.

Just got back to town after being away for 5weeks doing a project in my village and couldn't respond because of poor and erratic data coverage in my hometown. Sincerely appreciate everyone that called and sent chats concerning this to me.

All baby boy 4 cylinder engine use the same gearbox, both America and Europe spec, the only ones different is the UK spec and V6.

If gears have issues after being sold, a trusted rewire is sourced by dealer to rectify it and in the event that it cannot be rectified, a replacement is made upon returning the former gear or a refund if no other one available.
Services of reliable gear rewire was turned down twice and gear speed sensors requested by op which was sent to him.
Called my attention late August that he wants a replacement and was not ready to return the previous one which is NOT a norm in auto parts transactions globally. Was willing to do that but told the op it can only be done when i am personally around and asked him to call me on the weekend to see if am back.
Saw a text from him instead calling me a criminal who intends to defraud him and as matter of principle, i don't respond to offensive communications in transactions.

Will need the op to point out the criminal intent observed by him in all my transactions with him within the next 24hrs, if he does so successfully, i will refund the 85k plus and additional 15k to him and post the transaction details here. If not, i will strictly enforce the market conditions of gear transactions on this transaction.

If the bolded are not denied by the OP ,weyreypey cast your stone

There are alternatives Bros and Total mvlv is one of them. Pureguard, Syngard and even Liqui Moly are better alternatives.
That liqui moly ATF is something else.Tried it on my Honda Accord and the shifting has never been smoother.I agree 100%

Thanks for educating the guy that believes he knows it all while saying rubbish, common sense will tell him that it is fuel economy considering 1.6l engine, the only information needed is availability of spare parts from those familiar with Benz am not bothered about the cost implications.

OP the economy of that car will thrill you....the downsides to that car...
1.Fixes are expensive cos almost everything the engine has to come down.
2.If you abuse that auto tranny aswear your case will be worse than festo and his kazeem(pls its a long old story.)
3.The manual would have been the best bet but me and you know madam cant be shifting gears in traffic.

Enjoy the car and use premium fluids for all services(thats the only way to avoid tears)

PS...parts are available and affordable

No one's arguing that. He bought a lemon.

Buy again, he does not have a competent BMW mechanic to handle the needed repairs.

If he is in the FCT, I know the right person to recommend to him.
Have you tried to fix a lemon before?Go and read about the misdemeanor ,dont have link to that thread
