deebee23: Good day all trv hopefuls. This post might be long tho but just want to share to all applying.
•Application submitted: 13th of February(Paper route) •Biometrics: N/A (Gave it out the last time I was given a visitor visa) •Medical request: 2nd of April •Medical done: 15th of April •Medical passed: 19th of April •Correspondence letter: 23rd of April •Approval: 7th of May
Documents submitted: •All CIC documents •Admission letter from institution(Thompson Rivers University) •Receipt of Tuition and Fees •Copies of my present and previous passport data pages •Copies of countries visa pages •Letter to show I’ll take part in my family’s business •Letter from the institution where I was taking computer courses •TOEFL REPORT •Police character certificate •SOP •Study permit Questionnaire •High school transcript •Copy of WAEC Result
Travel history •UK •US •Dubai •Canada
Sponsor’s documents (Dad) •Sponsor bank statement of six months •Sponsor Domiciliary account •Sponsor Remuneration Statement •Sponsor ID card •Letter of sponsorship •Confirmation letter of employment for sponsor •Reference letter from Sponsor bank
After I was done with high school in 2015 I got admitted to a private uni the following year. It happened that I was not given my desired course coupled with other reasons i had to change. Then last year I applied for a US student visa. The first one was weird considering that I was hardly asked any question and those that went before me(long line oh)got refused aside like 3 people which were of old age. Then the second interview this year January went well but I was given a wrong bank statement. It was quite frustrating but didn’t let it stop me from applying for a Canadian trv. Then d following month I proceeded to submit my application at Lagos vfs. Then first week of April I got my medical request which I did at IOM. After which I checked my account some days later and saw medical passed. Then I got my correspondence on the 23rd. I was thinking I’d get my approval d next day oh but it was still processing and my Uni was to resume in May, so I just decided to give them a week. After no reply i sent emails to Kenya and Lagos telling them I’ll soon resume and pleaded to them for an update. Then on d 7th of May I got an email saying they have finalised my application. I logged in straight and saw final decision has been updated to approved with my counterfoil details below. I was really happy. Then some hours later I got an email from vfs that my passport is ready for collection. I was surprised cause I thought it’ll take some days. I went there this morning with my mom and picked it up in a sealed brown envelope. Opened it and d first thing I saw was d page which my visa was issued on. I just put my trust in God from the beginning and prayed over it with my mom(God bless her) and God answered our Prayers.
I didn’t know about this thread on nairaland till like 2 weeks after I submitted. Seeing d documents some submitted and I was like what?? I just knew i had all d CIC documents on d website, the financial documents my mom listed out,my educational documents and d sop which my sister recommended. I wasn’t able to link my application online for about 5 weeks after trying severally. It really bothered me but I just tried to keep calm. I messaged CIC and Kenya. Got replies from them but it wasn’t d answer tho. Not so long after that my medical mail came in with my app number and UCI which I used to link my profile online. Not to mention in my sop I didn’t explain d study gap(Don’t try it oh)cause I didn’t know how I’d explain it well to the VO in a way that won’t end up complicating things(had it typed down already a night before submission)so I just decided to leave it out but made sure I listed out what I did after high school in my study permit questionnaire(Attached a letter from where I was taking my computer courses). After my Medicals was passed I just had more faith that it will end in praise and thankfully it did. Like I said before I just prayed over and over. With God all things r possible!
Will be Travelling to British Columbia this week.
To all trv hopefuls I hope God will see you through. congrats dear how did you fill your worker's questionnaire |

Valprincx: Approval alert!!!
Paper route Feb 15 Biometric Feb 15 Upfront medicals Biometric correspondence mail. April 18 Approved. April 24. Classes begins: May 13th. MUN
I am so so grateful to God, don't even know where to start from. My approval is a miracle o. I never knew about this forum until 3 weeks after applying, whoops!! And when I started reading posts here I was so scared that I messed up my application, because I felt my documents I submitted wasn't complete, like affidavits of sponsor, certificates, and what made me scared the most was my sponsor..I used a third party sponsor, I don't even know the person, he just allowed me to use his SOA (but he was a kind man tho. I approached him that day and gave Me his SOA the next day) and my parent weren't financially buoyant at all.. I just used what I saw on Google and CIC website to apply o. So when I started reading post here about the nairobi guys, home ties, third party sponsor...I was so damn scared , I lot hope already, I was just waiting for a refusal sef so I can reapply better and in peace, because the tension ehh no be here o. A big thank you to @ Qudkom @ makano for your advice. @Dmerciful my personal VO ,i worried him as if he was the VO handling my application o..lol, he advised me to send another SOA (mine and my elder brother)via web form and mail to them even after getting biometric correspondence mail. thanks for your support and prayers only God can repay you. Above all i thank God almighty for his favour and grace. I fasted and prayed earnestly, and God almighty manifested . Thanks to everyone on this platform and to all the hopefuls, God will show his favour on your application. Amen. You are next to testify.

ILoveDLord: Well for me, I had most of my money in Treasury bill and fixed deposit when I submitted my application., and another huge amount in my pensions account
In my savings account I only had about 250k,and still submitted the statement like that.
Although I paid 2k CAD as initial deposit for my school fees
My visa was approved.
Cash in fixed deposit and treasury bills can be easily made available by liquidating the account /investment and I think the visa officers know that.
But I hope your friend has other money in addition to what his/her sponsor has, because in my opinion, 6 million may not be sufficient fund thankz dear. I appreciate |

Bracha: Nalizzzy If she removes the fixed deposit account, how much would she be submitting in her Statement of Account (SOA)? If it's just the 50K, I'll advise she waits till the fixed deposit matures to apply or look for someone else with much better SOA to sponsor her. thankz dear. I dnt even know again. but will tell her what you guys said |

To all May June and July applicant slide in my pm, I have a secret for you guys.
I actually went to anifowoshe on Wednesday. The person I met just like me at first sight and he told me the secret then he prayed for me and wish me good luck. I may go back there and tell him thank you.
This visa suffered me. The day I did my biometrics, VAC was still working till 8 pm that day, I left home around 7 and left VAC 7 pm. I was sleeping on steering... I almost had an accident that very day but God came through for me. So whenever I remember that day and imagine why my visa is still pending, tears will drop from my eyes and I will look up to God.
I contacted more than 150 MPs (senators) in Canada then on Wednesday I gathered mind and drive straight to Anifowoshe.
I was in the movies watching “Hotel Mumbai” as soon as they finished the movie, I saw the alert in my email address.
I will recommend you guys to watch that movie and thank me later.
God is indeed faithful Nara ekele chineke. May June July, don’t lose hope, your visa is sooner. Don’t forget to hit my pm. “God answers prayers”
God bless everyone that is reading this my success story. Whatever you ask from God, don’t give up, he knows your worries. He will answer your prayer.
“When God wants you to grow, he makes you uncomfortable”
Please don’t mind my typo error. I am so eegxited. jesus congrats |

correctguy2010: After results from 28 states, APC is still leading with a margin of over 3 million votes. Kano and Katsina created a huge gap between APC and PDP. APC has won a total of 15 states PDP has won a total of 13 states.
In terms of states won, it look as though PDP is very close but when you connsider the actual number of votes, PDP is seriously laggin behind.
Total rejected votes is almost hitting 1 million.
We have the following states left KEBBI ZAMFARA BORNO SOKOTO DELTA AKWA IBOM RIVERS CROSS RIVER BAYELSA.
thanks always wait for your post |

Frankrobbn1: That's the more reason your sponsor (mom) must provide sufficient proof of support. A bank of statement of 8.5M - 10M will do. thanks frank now I understand |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by nalizzzy: 8:20am On Feb 21, 2019 |
Frankrobbn1: Let's perform a little arithmetic here.
Annual expenses = 19,034CAD$ which equivalent to 5,182,270CAD$
Mom's bank statement = N5,000,000+N2,000,000 = N7,000,000
Funds available in mom's account - Annual Expenses N7,000,000 - N5,182,270 = N1,817, 730
In light of the above, mom will be left with N1,817, 730 after paying your first year tuition and living expenses. Now let's think like a visa officer, will the remaining funds be sufficient for your younger siblings and mom's personal welfare during your first year of study in Canada? As a consequence, you stand a better chance with two eyes closed if Mom can increase the funds to 4-5M.
Conversions were done with OANDA.COM thanks Frank am the last born and my sis is in canada too same city but she is a student. sorry to disturb you like this |
