Quick question house, i have secured accommodation in a halls of residence but i have not made a deposit. They have sent me the contract which i am supposed to sign as they have reserved a room for me in the hostel. The keys would be issued to me as soon as I sign the contract and make a deposit. I would like to make a deposit for the room when I arrive in the UK.

Would I have problems with the immigration control when I arrive in UK? (NOTE:I already have a reservation but have not made payment yet)

I need a response ASAP! thanks guys.

Naira landers

I submitted my application today but i forgot to include an online printout page that would show the equivalent of my acct closing balance in pounds (OANDA currency converter). But I have well over the required amount as my acct balance. I hope this won't affect the application as I have provided all the important documents required.

Thanks

It doesn't matter they will still check and verify. I did not include it in my application and i still got my visa!

@Bountimore just relax you will get your text soon

Men and Brethren, if not God on our side wetin man for do? I will rejoice for He has made me glad. I have my visa after 20 working days.

In all these an idea came to me, if we struggle so hard to get visa to UK why don’t we struggle even more to get a visa to heaven where the streets are made of gold, where there is no sorrows nor tears, no hustling, angels at our beck and call. All I want now is to go there.
Now I must live righteously, Holy, without blame in the sight of Jesus My Lord. Spread the good news of His divine birth, death and resurrection.

God Bless you all!

Brother Bountimore you are next!!

Everyone, nana, slyp, cockpitboy et all

At this point I think I want to visit VFS and put my complaint forward or something, its taking to long.

Also the person have borrowed some fund from wants her money back this week, been on my neck.

The major fear nw, is that in the news that intercontinental bank is liquidating, can't afford to lose 3.6M to a bank in the cause of awaiting visa, some of d funds which aint mine, wanna withdraw all bfor d bank's death. Was at d bank today to enquire on the liquidation, they are claiming to be merging with access nd nt closing down but one can't trust them!

Have sent mails to vfs and the british high commission this a.m,not a reply yet except for autoresponses that aint helpful.

Do I go to VFS today? Do u think news of a bank u have presented to ECO liquidating wouldn't even affect one's application, am visiting VFS, What do u all reckon?

@Bountimore, Just relax, i don't think that IB liquidating will be a problem as the CBN has taken measures to secure depositors funds. Even if you have the visa you may still have to show the evidence on entry sometimes even the school might ask for it.
As for you sending them an E-mail, i guess cockpitboy also sent them a mail and they asked him to wait that they will get back to him, which they did.
If the owner of the money is taunting you, i guess the best thing is to plead and if she wants you could pay with interest.

Men guy na to pray hard now because our destiny is right before us and it is all for grabs but one ECO is sitting on it. Don't worry this week you shall receive a good report in Jesus name.

@Bountimore i feel you seriously, each time i get a text message on my phone my heart skips,, crazy!
@Cockpitboy men i wish i could even concentrate and watch the match it would be nice, I try to busy myself with work or books, and just to be distracted with a text or one a thought of the state of my application again.

@ejy2011, abeg what did you do that we did differently? because all this verification things fit give young man sleepless nights.

Anyways all of us that are waiting for a reply God will make His grace to abound towards us and at the end we will have cause to glorify Him and with a thankful heart come and share of our visa success in Jesus name, and within the shortest possible time. Amen!

Cheers all, have a great weekend!

Hello house!

I must commend the good job you guys are doing. All of your comments and advice have been instrumental in the visa successes so far. Congrats to everyone who have used this forum and have gotten a positive result.

I have been following the thread for a while now, though i have not contributed anything but i believe all the areas have been touched if an applicant would take his time to read through every post.

My quick question is this. I have applied since the 15th of July and I am yet to receive any reply. Does it usually take longer than the usual fifteen working days? Tomorrow makes it the fifteenth day though but I am getting a bit antsy now. Please i need reassurance from the house and also to know if anyone has had any similar experience whose processing time took longer and what was the outcome?

Thanks guys!
