Some Jewish scientists stormed Nnewi, Anambra State yesterday to conduct Deoxyribonucleic Acid, DNA, test on interested citizens of Igbo origin to determine the Jewish relationship with Igbo tribe.

The Ikedife Hospital located along Igwe Orizu Road, Otolo-Nnewi, was used as the venue.

Hundreds of people came out in their numbers, to participate in the test to ascertain the validity of the claims that the Igbo migrated from Israel.

People arrived from other parts of Igboland to take part in the screening exercise.

Former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Dozie Ikedife, who was present at the event, told newsmen that there had been stories of Jewish/Igbo relations based on archaeological discoveries and mythology, adding that he facilitated the Jewish scientist to come and prove the mythology.

Ikedife said that the Israeli-Yaweh group came into the country to take a random sampling of cells from the people of the South-East for studies to carry out a DNA analysis and comparison in Houston Texas USA.


He said, “The idea is to establish scientifically the relationship of the two groups of people. It is necessary to satisfy the curiosity and answer the question in the minds of many for quite some time.

“The world has gone advanced, cellular examination can be used to establish the claim or otherwise of this kind of believe.

“In this modern time, such claims of relationship should not be left in the domain of mythological theories alone there is need to subject the claim to scientific proof.

I remember the day I was to present a project in my year 1 in unilag , I have been notified by the lecturer that it was the following week I will present mine , TBVH , I formed that week that I was having cough, that my voice was bad , she gave me grace till the next week , the next week came , mehn , I just weak anyhow , sha sha , the D Day came , i went to the back to sit down .

Before I knew what was happening , I have started opening Google sites on how to avoid pressure and all that , see fear mehn, I could not get any reasonable clue , so I gave myself faith , I was called later to that it was my turn to present , see fear at first , my legs was shaking already and hands , my voice was still normal tho , fast toward , like 5 Mins , I got myself back to the extent I was even enjoying it , I did not even shake again in the presentation

The Minister of National Security in Jamaica, Robert Montague, has announced that prisoners in the country are to be allowed conjugal visits.

According to The Observer newspaper, the Minister, who caused uproar on social media after his announcement, made this known while addressing participants at a Diaspora Conference in Kingston.

The Minister said he believes that allowing inmates to have sexual relations with their partners will be beneficial; adding that it was a ‘Christian thing’ to do.

He said: “I am determined and insistent that we are going to start conjugal visits and some persons ask me why, but we must treat (incarcerated persons) in a humane way.

“A lot of us (say) that we are Christians; but true Christianity is when you do for the least amongst us, so we are working on that.”



Following the announcement, human rights advocacy group known as, ‘Stand Up for Jamaica’ endorsed the plans to introduce conjugal visits in correctional facilities.

In a press statement, the group said it believes the move will help to further advance the rehabilitation of inmates.

According to the group, the increasing rehabilitation programmes in correctional institutions is critical in addressing some of the root causes of crime and changing the negative attitudes which make it difficult for offenders to return to the society as productive members.

It said: “conjugal visits will allow inmates to reconnect with their wives and strengthen their bond with their families.”

Another human right group, Jamaicans for Justice, has also supported to the plan to introduce conjugal visits in correctional facilities.
