As Nigeria government has continued to beat the drums of war against the people of Biafra in the past few months due to the peaceful agitation of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the Supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (De Great), Family Writers Press is authoritatively making Nigeria people and the world at large who may not know yet; to know that the Arab League of nations have warned Nigeria as a member state of Arab countries that should Nigeria government provoke war in West Africa, they are on their own. Still in my findings, it is only Pakistan that is still standing solidly behind Nigeria government and assuring them of every necessary assistance should any eventuality take place in Nigeria as a result of the agitation of Biafra. As it is at the moment, Nigeria government is sending thousands of soldiers to Pakistan for special training in order to suppress the agitation when they complete the training of their soldiers and become battle ready. In my secret finding mission, I interviewed a young military officer of Tiv extraction whose name is Joseph (surname withheld) due to security reason who was among the Army officers batch who just passed out from Pakistan awaiting the time for the showdown with Biafra agitators.

The Igbo community in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital has described the agitation for the breakup of the country as a misplaced priority.

The group told journalist on Saturday, June 17, that God who brought Nigerians together as one knows the reason for doing so.

Speaking for the group, Maximus Okochi, who is the president-general of the community said following wide consultations among his Igbo kinsmen living in the state capital and its environs, the group has rejected calls for the breakup of Nigeria, Daily Times reports.

“Even though agitation for independence is not new all over the world, what is strange is the violent way in which such agitation is being made. We are against breaking Nigeria. God who brought us together knows the reason for doing so and no one has the right to separate us. The unity of Nigeria is not negotiable,” he said.


Okochi stated that the Igbos living in Kogi state enjoy a cordial relationship with the indigenes and had intermarried among them.

He called on those agitating for a breakup of the country to learn from history, noting that a breakup will be of no good in the long run.

“If what happened from 1967 to 1970 was a mistake, then there should be no reason to repeat it as repeating a mistake amounts to senselessness which true Igbos are not known for,” Okochi stated.



He however asked the federal government to address the issues of marginalisation, underdevelopment and other injustices fueling the clamour for agitation.

Investigators set up to fish out perpetrators

The last may not have been heard of the recent redeployment of 649, officers among them seven Major-Generals, 45 Brigadier-Generals and 597 by Army authorities who are said to have concluded plans to investigate how the document tagged “top secret” got to the public.

Top Army sources told Daily Sun that those to be investigated were mostly personnel attached to the office of the military Secretary, Army, located at the Mambilla barracks, who is responsible for the promotion, appointment and redeployment of officers in the Nigerian army.

Already, a team of investigators comprising mostly of personnel of the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps(NAIC), have been directed to fish out those responsible for the dastardly act of betrayal which the army is not funding funny.

The team of investigators who are said to have commenced work to fish out those army authorities described as ” disloyal”, to the system, Daily Sun, gathered would soon pick up those perceived to have connived with their collaborator to leak the said document.

Sources say already, there is tension in the department of Army secretary as personnel now live in fear, as most of their phone lines, email messages and Whatsapp messages suspected to have been used to send the document are being tampered with by investigators.

The Army authorities have been enmeshed in scandals of lopsided promotions and appointments which forced the army church Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, to issue a warning to personnel against leaking secret documents to the public.

Before issuing the warning, Buratai had organised a seminar for clerks and other personnel responsible for keeping records to educate them on how best to safeguard secret documents not to jeopardize national security and unauthorized disclosure of information, which is subject to official secret act.
