kateskitty: I think 2 months, because she just gave me the gist about it last year December Age of a blog has nothing to do with having a Google Adsense approval. I got mine in October just about a week after I applied. This is my website http://macksonwakama.com/ Just meet all the terms and conditions stated by Google and the website would be approved. |

corperscorner: I don't know the revenue model you have in mind. But here is the thing no one else would tell you.
A lot of bloggers want to earn by leveraging on adsense simply because they hear Linda...Naij....Vanguard....Stella...etc cash out big on adsense. The truth is....if you are starting out or intend to blog so adsense could make you a living - then you will be disappointed.
Those pretty banners won't be clicked by robots. And for the rational audience, they seek out specific content and not online frivolity. From research and experience, the best way to get those things clicked in usually by spoofing your audience the way Naijaloaded does - which is pretty annoying by the way. Spoofing here entails masking your original content with an adsense element. A typical example is when you jump on a webpage to view Mahida's nak3d video and you click the youtube play icon just to be redirected to sites like onclickads.....etc. It's an easy way to lose your users dear.
Now here is what I think you need to capitalise on. You could stick with WP. I personally love it by the way cos its way flexible - tho might be a little expensive. Engage a telemarketer for an authentic database of the target audience your content might appeal to. Spend some money promoting your contents to these people for some time to get a retainership - say 3months. Check the progress of your site's traffic rating using siteworth or similarweb. Then scout the net or other online media platforms for persistent advertisers and pitch your platform to them.
Believe it or not. Since you weren't lucky enough to be among the early adopters of online media portals such as Nairaland etc - who started out early. This is your only way out for now.
You will grow with time and more people will get to know your platform for its style and uniqueness. You might even end up not needing Google adsense if you handle this properly cos I could personally confirm a few unpopular sites that make over 150k monthly from sponsored publications.
Good luck. Nice write up! As regards the bold quote, do you know any? |

Romance › The ‘world’s Oldest Fiancee’ Gets Engaged At The Age Of 106 by napoleon77(op): 11:40am On Feb 03, 2017 |
Brazilian pensioner has defied doctors to become the oldest person to get engaged at the age of 106. Valdemira Rodrigues de Oliveira said yes to her 66-year-old toyboy Aparecido Dias Jacob at a ceremony despite being given advice by physicians not to go ahead with it. The smitten seniors with the combined age of 172 years have separate rooms at Nossa Senhora Fatima retirement home in Pirassununga, south east Brazil, and were determined to prove it's never too late to be with your soulmate after three years together. Medics assessed their health and age and warned the duo, known affectionately as Valda and Jaco, would not be able to cope with living on their own. But the elderly sweethearts exchanged engagement rings in a betrothal service organised by volunteers under an initiative called the Project of Dreams. Volunteer Fabiane Zaffalon, said: 'As they couldn't get married we came up with another way to make their dreams come true by holding an engagement ceremony at the retirement home.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4187466/The-world-s-oldest-fiancee-gets-engaged-106.html?ito=social-twitter_mailonline#ixzz4XcJTPvLMRead more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4187466/The-world-s-oldest-fiancee-gets-engaged-106.html#ixzz4XcKsBBUJ Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook

The Prof should know the procedure as regards making such claims. Has the World Health Organisation (WHO) or any other reputable organisation involved in the fight against AIDS confirmed his claim?
It's good to be patriotic, but we should not just accept any claim without verification from reputable organisations. |

Jose213: One thing about those cheap page views is that they come from low quality countries and of course non targeted people who are not interested at all with what you have to say.
An example is adfly who will deliver you thousands of visitors for only $5 but guess what? You might not get a conversion at all!!! And no.....Google can't ban you for not getting most of your visitors organically.
I hear about this problem on a regular basis. Unfortunately, pageviews don’t pay the bills. Purchases/Conversions do. If you’re struggling and want to improve your conversion rates, you should look beyond the traditional CRO recommendations and A/B testing recommendations for bottlenecks. I once contemplated buying a Facebook page to increase the views for my website macksonwakama.com but I changed my mind since I knew the members of the page would clearly not belong to the niche I was targeting |

Why should Bovi join the protest? Is it mandatory? Does he not have the right to say "no"? Bovi campaigned/voted for GEJ and now the people who campaigned/voted for GMB want him to join them in protesting against the way the country is under GMB As you lay your bed so you lay on it!! By the way, would the people who took part in the fuel subsidy protest against GEJ also take part in the protest? I mean Tunde Bakare, Tinubu etc |

Webmasters › Paying For Page Views- Is It Worth It? by napoleon77(op): 1:35pm On Jan 27, 2017 |
I keep seeing adverts that they can guarantee thousands of page views for blogs and websites and I believe lots of people patronise them.
In the mid to long run can you pay for such and not get penalised by Google or even make money?
I believe Google must have an AI that detects if large views on a blog or website is not organic and would penalise appropriately.....but maybe I am wrong |

brokenplate: I am not ruling out PDF actually. I can categorically tell you that most of our HR systems have not being upgraded to process PDF. How do you know?
The painful aspect about it all is that it will be vividly stated that " all CVs should be submitted in word " but Ok will still get over 30% response in PDF. And guess what? Most of the PDF profile are so perfect for the role . If you can't follow instructions then you shouldn't get a role! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Don't Ever Submit CV In PDF by napoleon77(m): 7:13am On Jan 27, 2017*. Modified: 10:30am On Jan 27, 2017 |
brokenplate: Hi, just like I said the system used in processing your CVs are called ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
This system helps HR to do keyword search and store CVs for central access. ATS have always had difficult times reading PDFs .
Through modern version of ATS might accept PDFs(as used abroad) errors are being encountered still.
Pls visit this link by a foreign HR. You probably get better understanding.
Resume vs ATS System https://www./strong-resume-vs-job-application-samuel-nelson Very untrue! Modern ATS accepts PDF without errors! Recruiters usually specify the format that they want for your CV whether it's word (doc or docx) or PDF. So simply follow instructions. Don't just rule out PDF!What's the relevance of quoting a "foreign" HR? See my attachment.

Does not necessarily mean one should justify child labour. The fact that we have many irresponsible parents in society also does not justify child labour. Although its great to be hard working and to have dignity in labour but we need to know where to draw the line between "to bleed from thorns to pick the roses" and what is clearly child exploitation and child labour. |

thunder74: If the bank can erroneously release the money to a thief, they are also free to release the thief's picture to their real customer. After all it is her money. 50/50. How can you tell that the bank erroneously gave money to a thief? Do you know if the customer gave out her card and PIN? I believe you also know that cases of stealing are crimes that are reported to and investigated by the police. You dont`t release a security footage to a customer for her to share on social media |

I`m surprised that a bank would release footage from a security camera to a customer. You can show the customer but not give it to her to share |
