Princessterry: Hi all, i have been following this thread and it has really been helpful. I applied for study permit via vfs and got a mail today to go for my medicals. I have booked with Asaju medical centre and i was told to come along with my original passport. The thing is that my passport was submitted during the application, please advise on when to go to VAC to get it. Also,is it advisable to go to Asaju medical without an appointment. Expecting ur response. ThanksI wld advise u go and get ur package at VFS asap. January is jst around the corner and there is no time. Asaju is fast, within a week d embassy wld get ur med report from them. u need an apointment b4 goin 4 ur medical there. |
ChriGo: .....deport gini?....schools have refund policies ....and one of it is if u gain admission to other school u can get a refund of ur fees or ur tuition will be transferred to the other school's account .....Yeah except that. Makes sense. I jst hope peeps that hav such intentions r fully aware |
tonybunor: hello everyone!!! im having a problem with my agent, he is currently helping me with admission in one college to do a PDG even with a 3.9GPA simply with the excuse that its easier for him to get my admission letter into the school, and dat if finally i get my visa i can ask for a refund of fees and change to any university of my choice.. pls howz dis possible?..Please Im begging u, dont listen to ur agent. If u attempt collecting ur money back, ur school will first call the police to hold u down and then notify the embassy. U will be deported instantly. The embassy r now aware that alot of nigerians ask for a refund when they get there and end up not goin to school dats why they informed schools to notify them as soon as any student asks for a refund. My friend @demoah can testify to this. A friend of his was almost deported cos he asked for a refund of a course he paid for, the school was jst about to notify d embassy b4 they realised he was a former student who had applied and paid for another course. House pls respond, is anyone aware of this? |
demoah: I see you bro. We hooking up pretty soon. Get ready for some Jamu house P.Correct! |
miss bon: LOL, we shall all enjoy the coffee together siscongrats! nice one |
demoah: Lmao. I'm not looking for visa bro and thanksYeah buddy! my hommie, how da goin? i see u here now |
tkay11: To God be all the glory I got my visa from my agents today......I don port ooooocongrats bro |
Huzzie:Whoa! congrats bro! |
funnyem: Thank u very much! Did u have anybody dere that spoke wif the landlords on ur behalf or how were u able to get the 1year contract?Yea i did, my bro. He handled everything 4 me. Knowing someone there that can help out makes it more easy. Ask her to discuss other options for accommodation with the school and also ask for assistance in gettin one outside school |
funnyem: Please I currently need an information from those that used Maple. A friend of mine was instructed to pay tuition and accommodation by the embassy and she asked them if she could pay for like 3Months for accommodation but her agent insisted that she should pay the whole one year. Is advisable for her to pay accommodation for a whole year! She shld if she can, after all it shld b refundable. But if she's lookin 4 an alternative, she can look 4 accommodation outside campus, where most landlords give a 1yr contract and you only have to pay for the first and last month of d contract. Thats what I did. This system makes more sense cos she can get a 1yr contract without havin to pay for the full year. I hope this info helps |
lokzie: @chidinma1/Nasdaq Correct info except you can apply for permanent residence after working for one year full time on the post graduation work permit you get after school. Please read Canadian Experience Class properly on cic.gc.caAiit thanks bro |
chidimma1: pls house I need your opinionHey! It is possible to extend ur visa as long as u hav an admission letter. If u r going in for a 1yr program, u might b given a 1yr work permit if u decide to work after concludin it which u will b expected to come back home when d period runs out. but if u run a 2 or 3yrs program, then they cld give u 3yrs work permit. So then u cld apply for permanent residence in ur fourth or fifth year. alot of nigerians extend their studies so as to get 3yrs work permit. So its possible to extend ur visa after every program, the longer u stay, the better in terms of work permit. |
