They already exist in north central states

The OP mentioned that Ogedengbe/Ijesha got riffles from Europeans and had to pay with human slaves.
This is another confirmation that the Europeans fueled that war so that they could have continued supply of slaves.

They decided to side with the weaker side (ijesha) in order to prolong the war which served their purpose!

Too bad that the debt burden is high.

It is also worrisome that 'they' are even planning to borrow more!.

Our government need to create wealth locally and finance most of the infrastructural projects without having to embarrass us all the time by their habit of uncontrolled borrowing.

However, does any one notice that Nigeria still has the least debt-to- GDP ratio amongst the countries sighted according to our own world renowned Ngozi Okonjo Iweala?

Does it mean that Nigeria is doing better than most African countries?

One problem with nigerians is that they are masters when it comes to pretending to be good and Godly.

Yet they are easily betrayed by their love for evil. While it is obvious that they do not derive any direct benefit from it, it is not understandable why evil delights them.

This generation of nigerians have been completely blindfolded with hatred. Yet they think they are holy.

Most Nigerians are unapologetic religious and irredeemably wicked bigots . The irony is that they claimed to be filled with the holy spirit!

They knowingly support ethnic cleansing because of hatred towards a people also created by God they claim to serve.

The only advantage is that it enables people who cannot afford the 'big' money for solar system at once to also enjoy uninterrupted power.

Also, within the 5-year period they fix any problem be it solar panel or battery at no cost to the subscriber. After 5 years it becomes your property: you no longer pay subscription.

This is a dreamer,doer and confident speaker. This combination in one person is lacking in Nigeria's corridor of power today.
Most are talkers only.

I know one fact: all the figures in the pre- civil war and civil war crises are selfish and egocentric. They drew the then promising nation to a crises that it has not and may never recover from because of Nothing but Selfishness, Pride, Naivety as well as Personal Disagreement.

Unfortunately, they are also skilled charlatans and master propagandists that succeeded in writing their names indelibly in our hearts as our heroes and Saviours.

What I have seen on this forum is that every body is full of hate and no one is better than the ones he's so passionately condemning.

This is the reason why the alleged northern domination may never stop.

First, in terms of landmass, the north is more than two times bigger than the south thereby putting the north an advantaged position in terms of number of states, voters' population, representation in government etc.
Second, disunity amongst the people of the south is another big advantage for the north.

I remember that our leaders in the past realized this later in their lives but I do not know if it was too late.
For example, one of Southern Nigeria's heroes, Ojukwu preached passionately about "handshake across the Niger " in his later years.

What I see is "yorubalization" and explanation of English language words.

I see that many human societies discriminate against other humans who do not look like them.

Muslims usually face discrimination in largely Christian societies. Likewise Christians also face discrimination in largely Muslim societies.
It is also obvious that while one side only murmurs silently about their bad experience, the other side articulate their own and put. it in everyone's face perhaps taking advantage of their media power.

However, it's very painful we are still so intolerant even as educated and civilised as we all claim.

If we want the world to be better, we all need to make personal resolve and actively work to make it better. Let everyone say NO to discrimination and ethnic and religious bigotry!!!

Stepping aside to allow independent investigation is the right thing to do.
However because politics is involved, stepping aside may mean permanent exit.

He has nothing to fear if he's innocent though.

Hmmmm.... To be a little bit objective, all these "bombs" still remain allegations until they are proven. However, it looks like the petitioners did their homework so well that it may be hard for bros to come out "unstained".

I think he should resign to avoid further embarrassment.

I can only hope that the investigation would be handled by reputable independent auditors and not those that will come and act a prepared script.

As much as I would not want to get into the controversy, I need to remind us that Muhammad Alli changed his views about racism long before his death.

No doubt female circumcision is totally bad and condemnable. Thankfully, it is now outlawed and only being practiced illegally by some uninformed part of the population. It is our duty to educate this people and also expose them to law enforcement agencies since the now recognizes it as acre against the girl child.
However, I think that we should be careful to make sure that we give only factual information even while trying to pass correct message. I mean we should avoid some myths if we want all part of the poppulation to take us serious.
For example the saying that if a lady is circumcised she would have to prepare for CS during child birth is not exactly accurate. Most people above the age of 30 including many of us, our sisters and relatives were circumcised and they give birth normally.
Complcatioms during child birth can be due to several unrelated factors.

HOWEVER WHAT IS BAD IS BAD!!!
NO TO FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION!!!
BUT SPREAD THE MESSAGE IN A WAY THAT WILL APPEAR REAL .
