One of the brightest minds to ever grace this generation. With very few errors, he layed his imprints on the sands of Nigeria's time. With a resume second to few, fearless and outspoken, has garnered respect and accolades in the international community. I sometimes wonder how nonexistents abuse this impeccable man on this forum. Shame!

Bemigho Reno Omokri, was born on January 22, 1974 to Helen Bemigho a civil servant and Justice Jean Omokri a justice of the Nigerian Court of Appeals.

He is a Nigerian Lawyer, called to Bar in the year 2000. He studied for his LL.M in the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdoms.

Reno Omokri served as the Vice President, Africa, at Joe Trippi and Associates, a U.S Political Consulting firm.

Reno is the host of a Christian teaching TV, Transformations With Reno Omokri, broadcast on San Francisco's KTLN. He is the author of the books, Shunpiking: No Shortcuts to God, and Why Jesus Wept.

Until May 29, 2015, Reno Omokri was the Special Assistant on New Media to former President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria.
When he was the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno was popular for using social media to conduct surveys and project the developments undertaken by the Nigerian Government. He founded the multi-media project, Build Up Nigeria, with which he has produced a series of short films in the United States.

Reno Omokri is a pastor of the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California and Abuja. He is a regular writer of articles for major newspapers.

When late Umaru Musa Yar’adua was evacuated from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia on November 23, 2003, for an health emergency, Reno Omokri was one of the signatories of a letter by a group of eminent Nigerians (G 57) that called for the resignation of the former President. In the year 2011, he led some Nigerians in Diaspora to endorse President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2011 elections.

It was Reno Omokri who represented the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, at a national conference on ‘Inter-Faith Dialogue and the Quest for National Security in Nigeria', a program organized by the Interfaith Activities and Partnership for Peace, IFAPP. While speaking on behalf of the President, Omokri urged Christian and Muslim leaders to focus on Jesus as the common Denominator between their two faiths. He however caused a stir when he stated on camera that The Quran mentions Jesus by name 25 times and even five times more than it (The Quran) mentions Mohammed. He also argued that almost every prophet in Judaism and Christianity is accepted in Islam.

Presently, Omokri is the host of 'Transformations With Reno Omokri', a Christian teaching program which is broadcast to 23 million homes in the United States of America across cable outlets that including, Comcast (KTLN Chanel 25, Sundays at 12am) DISH Network (Impact Network, Chanel 268, Thursdays at 10pm) and Roku. The program which lasts 30 minutes on weekly telecast is produced by the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California.

Health / 10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Brain by Naskiid(m): 6:23pm On Mar 14, 2016

Throughout history, the human brain has been remarkably good at dismissing itself. Everyone from ancient Egyptians to Aristotle has downplayed the role of the mysterious stuff between our ears. Famed anatomist Galen gave the brain credit as commander of movement and speech, but even he brushed aside the white and gray matter, figuring the fluid-filled ventricles inside the brain did most of the work.

10. Human brains are big…

The average adult brain weighs just under 3 pounds (between 1.3 and 1.4 kilograms). Some neurosurgeons describe the texture of a living brain as that of toothpaste, but according to neurosurgeon Katrina Firlik, a better analogy can be found in the local health-food store.

“[The brain] doesn’t spread like toothpaste. It doesn’t adhere to your fingers the way toothpaste does,” Firlik writes in her memoir, “Another Day in the Frontal Lobe: A Brain Surgeon Exposes Life on the Inside” (Random House, 2006). “Tofu — the soft variety, if you know tofu — may be a more accurate comparison.”

If you aren’t charmed by that description, consider this: About 80 percent of the contents of your cranium is brain, while equal amounts of blood and cerebrospinal fluid, the clear liquid that buffers neural tissue, make up the rest. If you were to blend up all of that brain, blood and fluid, it would come to about 1.7 liters, or not quite enough to fill a 2-liter soda bottle.

9. But they’re getting smaller

Don’t get too cocky about your soda-bottle-sized brain. Humans 5,000 years ago had brains that were even larger.

“We do know from archaeological data that pretty much everywhere we can measure — Europe, China, South Africa, Australia — that brains have shrunk about 9 cubic inches (150 cubic centimeters), from an average of about 82 in3 (1,350 cm3). That’s roughly 10 percent,” University of Wisconsin at Madison paleoanthropologist John Hawks told LiveScience in 2009.

Researchers don’t know why brains might be shrinking, but some theorize that they’re evolving to be more efficient. Others think our skulls are getting smaller because our diets include more easily chewable foods and so large, strong jaws are no longer required.

Whatever the reason, brain size doesn’t directly correlate with intellect, so there’s no evidence that ancient man was brainier than humans of today.

8. Our Brains burn through energy

The modern brain is an energy hog. The organ accounts for about 2 percent of body weight, but it uses about 20 percent of the oxygen in our blood and 25 percent of the glucose (sugars) circulating in our bloodstream, according to the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology.

These energy requirements have spurred a debate among anthropologists about what fueled the evolution of big brains in the first place. Many researchers credit meat, citing evidence of hunting in our early ancestors. But meat would have been an unreliable food source, say other scientists. A 2007 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science found that modern-day chimps know how to dig for calorie-rich tubers on the savanna. Perhaps our ancestors did the same, boosting their brainpower with veggies.

As for what motivated the brain to balloon in size, there are three major hypotheses: climate change, the demands of ecology, and social competition.

7. Wrinkles make us smart

What’s the secret to our species’ smarts? The answer may be wrinkles. The surface of the human brain is convoluted by deep fissures, smaller grooves called sulci, and ridges called gyri. This surface is called the cerebral cortex and is home to about 100 billion neurons, or nerve cells.

The folded, meandering surface allows the brain to pack in more surface area — and thus, more processing power — into the limited confines of the skull. Our primate relatives show varying degrees of convolution in their brains, as do other intelligent creatures like elephants. In fact, research done by Emory University neuroscientist Lori Marino has found that dolphins have even more pronounced brain wrinkles than humans.

6. Most of our brain cells aren’t neurons

The old saw that we use just 10 percent of our brainpower isn’t true, but we now know that neurons make up just 10 percent of our brain cells.

The other 90 percent, which account for about half the brain’s weight, are called glia, which means “glue” in Greek. Neuroscientists used to think glia were simply the sticky stuff that holds neurons together. But recent research has shown glia to be much more. A 2005 paper in the journal Current Opinions in Neurobiology laid out the roles of these unsung cells, which range from mopping up excess neurotransmitters to providing immune protection to actually promoting and modulating synapse growth and function. (Synapses are the connections between neurons.) It turns out the silent majority isn’t so silent after all.

5. The brain is an exclusive club

Like bouncers at a night club, an assembly of cells in the brain’s blood system, called the blood-brain barrier, lets only a few molecules into the nervous system’s inner sanctum – the brain. The capillaries that feed the brain are lined with tightly bound cells, which keep out large molecules. Special proteins in the barrier transport necessary nutrients and substances into the brain. Only an elite few make it through.

The blood-brain barrier protects the brain, but it can also keep out lifesaving medications. Physicians trying to treat brain tumors can use drugs to open the junctions between cells, but that leaves the brain temporarily vulnerable to infection. One new way to sneak meds past the barrier might be nanotechnology. A 2009 study published in the journal Cancer Research showed that specially-engineered nanoparticles can cross the barrier and attach to tumor tissue. In the future, combining nanoparticles with chemotherapy drugs could be one way to target tumors.

4. The brain starts as a tube

The foundation for the brain is set early. Three weeks after conception, a sheet of embryonic cells called the neural plate folds and fuses into the neural tube. This tissue will become the central nervous system.

The neural tube grows and differentiates throughout the first trimester. (When cells differentiate they specialize into various tissues needed to create body parts.) It isn’t until the second trimester that glia and neurons begin to form. The brain doesn’t wrinkle up until even later. At 24 weeks, magnetic resonance imaging shows just a few nascent grooves in the otherwise smooth surface of the fetal brain, according to a 2000 study in the journal Radiology. As the third trimester begins in week 26, the grooves deepen and the brain begins to look more like that of a newborn.

3. Teen brains aren’t fully formed

Parents of stubborn teenagers rejoice, or at least relax: That adolescent attitude stems, in part, from the vagaries of brain development.

The gray matter of the brain peaks just before puberty and is pruned back down throughout adolescence, with some of the most dramatic development happening in the frontal lobes, the seat of judgment and decision-making.

A 2005 study published in the journal Child Development found that the parts of the brain responsible for multitasking don’t fully mature until we’re 16 or 17 years old. And research presented at the BA Festival of Science in 2006 revealed that teens also have a neural excuse for self-centeredness. When considering an action that would affect others, teens were less likely than adults to use the medial prefrontal cortex, an area associated with empathy and guilt. Teens learn empathy by practicing socializing, the researchers said. So much for grounding them until they’re 20.

2. Brains never stop changing

Scientific wisdom once held that once you hit adulthood, your brain lost all ability to form new neural connections. This ability, called plasticity, was thought to be confined to infancy and childhood.

Wrong. A 2007 study on a stroke patient found that her brain had adapted to the damage to nerves carrying visual information by pulling similar information from other nerves. This followed several studies showing that adult mice could form new neurons. Later studies found more evidence of human neurons making new connections into adulthood; meanwhile, research on meditation showed that intense mental training can change both the structure and function of the brain

Women aren’t from Venus after all
Popular culture tells us that women and men’s brains are just different. It’s true that male and female hormones affect brain development differently, and imaging studies have found brain differences in the ways women and men feel pain, make social decisions and cope with stress. The extent to which these differences are genetic versus shaped by experience — the old nature-versus-nurture debate — is unknown.

But for the most part, male and female brains (and brainpower) are similar. A 2005 American Psychologist analysis of research on gender differences found that in 78 percent of gender differences reported in other studies, the effect of gender on the behavior was in the small or close-to-zero range. And recent studies have debunked myths about the genders’ divergent abilities. A study published in the January 2010 Psychological Bulletin looked at almost half a million boys and girls from 69 countries and found no overall gap in math ability. Focusing on our differences may make for catchy book titles, but in neuroscience, nothing is ever that simple.

Health / Is Masturbation Good For You? by Naskiid(m): 11:49am On Mar 13, 2016

If there’s one thing that almost every guy is an expert at, it’s masturbation. After years of extensive, hands-on experience, you think you know everything there is to know. But according to the experts, maybe you don’t.

Men may talk about it more often, but women do it, too.

More than half of American women 18-49 masturbate at least once every 3 months, according to a study from The Kinsey Institute, and that’s true for single women and those who are coupled up. Self-pleasure doesn’t have the stigma it once did, says Nicole Prause, PhD, but myths still affect the way that some women feel about it — and how they do (or don’t) touch themselves.

Here are some things you should know about masturbation for both men and women.

MEN:

1. Masturbation doesn’t have the health benefits that sex does.

“It appears that not all orgasms are created equally,” says Tobias S. Köhler, MD, MPH, an associate professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.

Study after study shows that intercourse has all sorts of benefits for men — for your blood pressure, heart and prostate health, pain, and more. You’d think that masturbation would, too. But it doesn’t.

Why would it make a difference whether you ejaculate during sex or on your own? No one’s sure. But your body seems to respond differently. Even the makeup of semen is different if you masturbate instead of having sex.

Still, does it really matter? Have you honestly been masturbating all these years only because you wanted to boost your prostate health? Didn’t think so.

2. Masturbationh4 is not risk-free.

Sure, it’s low-risk. It’s the safest form of sex possible. No one ever caught an STD from himself or made himself pregnant. But like other low-risk activities (chewing, walking), it still has some risks.

Frequent or rough masturbation can cause minor skin irritation. Forcefully bending an erect penis can rupture the chambers that fill with blood, a rare but gruesome condition called penile fracture.

Köhler has seen guys with it after vigorous masturbation. “Afterward, the penis looks like an eggplant,” he says. “It’s purple and swollen.” Most men need surgery to repair it.

3. There’s no “normal” amount of masturbation.

Guys can get hung up on whether they masturbate too much. But it’s not how many times you masturbate in a week (or day) that really matters, says Logan Levkoff, PhD, a sexologist and sex educator. It’s how it fits into your life.

If you masturbate many times a day and have a healthy, satisfying life, good for you. But if you masturbate many times a day and you’re missing work or giving up on sex with your partner because of it, consider seeing a sex therapist.

Even then, there’s nothing specific about masturbation that’s the problem. Compulsive masturbation is like any behavior that disrupts your life.

4. Masturbating doesn’t reflect on your relationship.

Levkoff says the most damaging myth about male masturbation is that it’s a sign something is wrong in your relationship.

The fact is that most guys masturbate. They masturbate if they’re single, in a bad relationship, or in a great relationship. It’s just something they do that has nothing to do with their partners.

Masturbation isn’t only about sex, Levkoff says. For many, it’s a routine way of relieving stress, clearing your head before work, or going to sleep.

5. Masturbation is almost certainly good for your sex life.

Masturbation can help your sex life, since it’s how guys learn what they like during sex. “I think women would be more satisfied sexually in their relationships if they masturbated as much as men do,” Levkoff says.

Are there exceptions? Some guys do get so hooked on a certain amount of pressure during masturbation or the stimulation of porn that they can’t perform with a partner, says Ian Kerner, PhD, a sex therapist and author of She Comes First.
Still, Kerner says those guys are the exception. “For the vast majority of men, masturbation is a healthy thing,” he says. “I’m usually more concerned about a guy who’s stopped masturbating — which can be a sign of anxiety or health problems — than a guy who’s doing it regularly.”

WOMEN:

1. It’s good for you.

Masturbating increases blood flow throughout your body and releases feel-good brain chemicals called endorphins. “That may explain why there’s a clear mood benefit, even if you don’t orgasm,” says Prause, a sexuality researcher at UCLA. And while men are more likely to talk about blowing off steam by masturbating, research suggests it’s a stress-reliever for both sexes. “It takes your mind [off your worries] while activating areas of the brain associated with pleasure,” Prause says.

2. It improves your sex life.

Masturbation can make you sexually comfortable and confident. “It puts you in touch with your desires and gives you the chance to get to know your own body,” says sexuality educator Yvonne K. Fulbright, PhD. “Experimenting with what feels good and makes you respond positively can lead to better sexual experiences, both alone and with a partner.”

If you have trouble reaching orgasm, it’s a private, stress-free way to try different types of touch and pressure to see what helps you climax, Fulbright says.

3. It can ease postmenopause sex problems.

Many women see changes during menopause. Masturbation can help, says Judi Chervenak, MD, a gynecologist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.

“The vagina can actually narrow, which can make intercourse and vaginal exams more painful.” But masturbation, especially with a water-based lubricant, can help prevent narrowing, boost blood flow, relieve some tissue and moisture problems, and increase sexual desire, Chervenak says.

4. It doesn’t have to be quick (or end with an orgasm).

The media may suggest otherwise, but masturbation isn’t just a “quickie” experience. That’s OK. “Rushing can make it less enjoyable, and so can focusing too much on orgasm,” Fulbright says. “Give yourself time to touch all parts of your body or try different positions, and don’t feel pressure to climax.”

5. Toys can help.

Nearly half of women between the ages of 18 and 60 have used a intimacy gadget like a Love Machine or vibrator, according to a survey by Ashley Leonard at Robert Morris University. If you’ve had trouble reaching orgasm and want to climax, a vibrator (which stimulates the nerve endings in the clitoris) may be helpful.

Don’t worry whether it will lead to sex problems later down the line, Prause says. “Put simply, if it feels good, go for it.”

Health / Tips For Overcoming Fear by Naskiid(m): 11:34am On Mar 13, 2016

A lot of people get scared, not because of the possibility of failure but because they are scared of what other people will think of them. Is that how you want to live your life, In Fear?

The world has far greater things to offer you, but it can’t do that if you are scared to take it up on them. The nice thing about life is that it always gives you a chance to try again, so be a little fearless and seek some new opportunities. Fear Is Just False – Evidence – Appearing – Real

Here are 3 tips to help you overcome fear:

Surround yourself with people who support your dreams

I have a good friend who also happens to be a great journalist. What I love about him is that every time we are together, I grow as an individual. He gives me advice and supports me in my dreams and that alone helps me want to achieve more in life.

It’s important to surround yourself with the people that bring out the best in you. It is no use a having a million friends who do not have a positive effect in your life.

When you surround yourself with people who care about you, they will pick you up when you fall and give you the pep talk you need.

Remember why you started

In my first year of university, I had a friend who got a bursary to study at the University of Johannesburg, all-expenses paid. To cut the story short, he dropped out.

Sometimes we are given everything, but we cannot utilise what we have because most people do not know the power of determination and attitude. The minute you change your attitude towards something, you will be able to overcome it.

My friend did not set his attitude to love what he was doing. Instead, he was doing it for other people. The minute you do something for other people and not yourself, trust me, it will never work out.

Embrace it

Fear is a good thing, it prevents you from doing things that might harm you; however students tend to miss out on opportunities because they fear what others may think of them if they fail.

A wise man once said, ‘if you do tomorrow what you did today, you will get tomorrow what you got today.’’ Always know that when you do the same every day you will get the same result.

To achieve bigger things in life, you need to move away from your comfort zone. Make a choice, decide on what you want to do and who you want to be. Then ask yourself how you will get there.

The fact is, failure is part of life. We all fail at some point. What happens next depends on how you take it. Will you simply give up, or get up and move on?

Politics / Re: Why The N50 Charge By Fg Is Corruption In Itself by Naskiid(m): 10:10pm On Jan 20, 2016
easrael:
Early this morning, I read a directive by the Central Bank of Nigeria to all Banks in the country where it ordered all banks in Nigeria to start charging N50 on all transactions that are above N1,000 from ALL Nigerians.

Now, as many of us may now know this until the banks start charging it and they give you tons of excuses for it.
Here are three facts why THIS charge is a FRAUD in totality!

1. This charge is to be under a particular stamp duty which is illegal in banking transactions! At least, I know stamp duties are charged under postal orders and not on some bank transactions.

2. The account number the money is to be remitted into (CBN NIPOST Stamp Duty Collection Account No 3000047517) is not the popular TSA account number which was created as the ONLY Government transaction’s correspondence! What this means is that the Federal Government is as corrupt as anything you can imagine, using this scheme to deprive the middle class off their hard earned money!

3. This scheme of generating funds was not listed as one of the means to be used to generate funds this year in the 2016 budget! I have read the 1800 page document page to page in details that I can almost tell where a particular item is placed. You all can take the pain to read it too. This government never listed this means as a non-oil revenue making means.

What this scheme is scheduled to do is to suffer the middle class and the lower class in Nigeria to feed some greedy, corrupt and selfish upper class. Why hasn’t the FG set up a tax on luxury items which the upper class in our strata is entitled to?

There are so many questions begging for answers that, some of which many among us will avoid answering them. I’ll leave you with this: Do not ever think you’ll benefit from the N5,000 to be given to the unemployed people because it is strictly a Northern affair! That is where we have the poorest of the poor!

Salem

Israel Oladipupo Ogunseye tweets via @LadiSpeaks

In a bid to boost Federal Government revenue base in the non-oil sectors of the economy against of falling revenue in the from oil sector, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed banks operating in the country to reduce stamp duty charges to N50 per eligible transaction in accordance with provisions of the Stamp Duties Act.

CBN in circular issued yesterday explained that it was in recognition of this fact that banks and other financial institutions were enjoined to support governments’ revenue generation drive through compliance with the provisions of the Stamp Duties Act, LFN 2004 as reinforced by the court judgment in Suit No FHC/L/CS/1710/2013.

The apex banking regulating body noted that with immediate effect, all Deposit Money Banks (DBMs) and other financial intuitions should commence the charging of N50 per eligible transactions in accordance with provisions of the Stamp Duties Act and Federal Government Financial Regulations 2009, that is, all receipts given by any bank or other financial institution in acknowledgement of service rendered in respect of electronic transfer and teller deposits from N1, 000 and above.

The circular expressed that for the avoidance of doubt the following receipts are however exempted from imposition of Stamp Duties: Payments deposit or transfer by self to self-weather inter or intra bank and any form of withdrawal/ transfers from saving accounts.
The circular noted that, “each DMB shall open an account designated as NIPOST Stamp Duties Account into which all charges collected shall be paid.

“Other Financial Institution shall remit their Stamp Duty collections to any DMB of their choice,” the circular explained.

Assuming Jonathan won that election which I'm sure he will never win else he rigs it as usual, Nigeria would have been in a sorry state now, yet his Sympathizers accept him as their Hero, imagine how Unpatriotic some people are, but let us all remember these :
Each time you feel like complaining that the Economy is bad, remember Dasuki took $2.1billion from CBN's vault and created a major crack in that Economy.
Everytime you want to wail that the economy is in shambles, remember Dokpesi collected N2.1billion from our common wealth.
Each time you feel like complaining that people are losing their jobs on a daily basis, remember the N4.6billion collected for Spiritual purposes (still can't get over that) contributed to worsening our lot as a country.
Whenever you want to insult Buhari that nothing is working, remember Odili collected N100M for what purpose we don't know yet and that money can build a major factory.
At a time you would want to say Buhari hasn't achieved anything yet, remember Bode "Tewonde" George took N100M and up until now, he hasn't account for it. That money ensured our economy was torn apart the more.
On days you believe you should abuse the CHANGE MANTRA, make sure you remember Dasuki said he was asked to distribute N10billion to everyone from kitchen cabinet to organisations to ensure your hero won the election. That amount further depleted our National wealth......
The very open Truth is that BUHARI met an almost irredeemable Economy and alongside his VP, they are trying to clean up the mess......
Some people's Fathers, Husbands, Children, Cousins and Nephews were sent to the battle front to go and die at the expense of their re-election bid.......
How Clueless was your hero ? They watched people die like chicken and even had the guts to charge the brave soldiers with mutiny.
If Jonathan still remains your hero after these few confessions, then you are more Clueless than he is....

Webmasters / 14 Easy Places To Build Backlinks by Naskiid(m): 3:33pm On Nov 28, 2015
Why haven’t you heard of these link sources before? You have. But you’ve probably been told they are a waste of time by your Web developer, who
claims these big, popular sites aren’t useful for Google optimization.
The reason is that most powerhouse social media sites like Facebook and YouTube put a small piece of code called ‘the no follow’ tag into most areas of their site.

As the name implies, the ‘no follow’ tells search engines: if someone tries to build backlinks to their site from here, don’t follow it. Instead, ignore it.
This was and is done to prevent spammers. If you didn’t have the

‘no-follow’ tag, spammers would create thousands of Facebook profiles,
LinkedIn profiles, and YouTube accounts just to link those sites back to
their website. The ‘no-follow’ breaks the connection you are
trying to make between one website and the next, defeating the purpose
of a link from the perspective of Google optimization (people can of course still click the link and visit your site directly).
But it’ s a fallacy that all social media sites have no-follows. In fact, many sites provide juicy link opportunities. You just need to find them. And we did.
These are all real links, and are entirely legitimate and approved for optimization by Google.
When You Build Backlinks Be Complete!

When it comes to Google Places, Local Listings, LinkedIn and basically
all your social pages and profiles, a complete profile is much more
powerful than an incomplete one. It’s just more information that search
engines can use to figure out what you and your website are about. So
fill out all the details and include your main keywords in those
profiles (for example, ‘we are a landscape company from Dallas
specializing in large commercial and educational institution projects’).
All of this takes a bit of time and grunt work, but if you do it Google
will have a richer collection of sites pointing back to yours in a
consistent, powerful way.

Romance / Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Mind Being Single by Naskiid(m): 2:57pm On Nov 27, 2015
Are you single? Do you really hate it? Well, you shouldn’t. There are a lot of positives to being single, even if you can’t see them just yet. There are an infinite number of reasons you should be happy that you’re single, but if you can’t find the positives in your single relationship status, this list should definitely help convince you!

1. YOU’RE HOLDING OUT

You shouldn’t be upset if you’re single because that simply means that you’re holding out for someone who’s right for you. You’re not just going to date someone for the sake of dating them. Instead, you want to date them because you like them. Wait for that person to come along.

2. YOU’RE FREE

Having a significant other often means that you’re tied to that other person. That’s not always the case, but isn’t it nice to be single and not have to run your plans by anyone else? You can just drop everything and do something on a whim if you want. You don’t have to beg your significant other to attend a friend’s event with you; instead you can just go on your own!

3. YOU DON’T HAVE TO SHARE

How many times have you laid in your bed and thought, “How is anyone in a relationship? I can’t imagine sharing this amazing bed with anyone else?” That’s the case for a lot of different aspects in your life. You don’t have to share a bathroom, a bedroom, a bed, or anything else. Everything is yours, which is a comforting thought!

4. YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF

I don’t want to get too cheesy here, but being single means that you can figure yourself out. When you’re in a relationship, you’re constantly trying to figure each other out, or figure out who you are as a couple. When you’re single, it’s all about you, and you don’t have to worry about anyone else but yourself. You can figure out your own favorite things because you like them, not because a significant other does.

5. THERE’S NO STRESS

Not that every relationship is made up of fighting, but how much happier are you when you’re not in a relationship? When you’re not in a relationship, you aren’t in nearly as many fights as you are when you’re in a relationship, simply because there’s no one you spend as much time with as a significant other. It’s much less stressful when you aren’t fighting as much!

6. YOU’RE SAVING MONEY

Although it’s typically known that guys are the person in the relationship who spends money, girls are spending just as much. Not only do girls have to be different date outfits all of the time, but they also have to buy just as many gifts as guys do. There are birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, anniversaries, and other holidays. When you’re single, you’re saving a lot of money!

7. YOU’LL BECOME CLOSER WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS

When you don’t have a significant other, a lot of people expect you to be bored and lonely all of the time. That’s not the case, though. Instead, you just have a lot of time to spend with your girlfriends. Pull a Taylor Swift and collect best friends rather than boyfriends!

What are your favorite things about being single? Let me know your own reasons in the comments!

Romance / The More Vulnerable You Look, The More Men Find You Attractive by Naskiid(m): 2:50pm On Nov 27, 2015
I know, it sounds silly—or like an already proven fact—but blame it on evolution. A new study to be published in Evolution and Human Behavior from the University of Texas–Austin explored what they called the sexual exploitability hypothesis based on the idea that for ancestral women, casual intercourse with an emotionally unattached man who you weren’t sure would stick around to raise any potential offspring was not a good move. But for men, with what seems like an unlimited number of —– cells, wasting a few on women you have no intention of being with isn’t a big deal. Already sounds like not much has changed, but the researchers wanted to see specifically if whether any indication that a woman’s guard is lowered is a turn-on for the average man.

To explore this, they asked a large group of students (103 men and 91 women) to identify some “specific actions, cues, body postures, attitudes, and personality characteristics” that might indicate receptivity or vulnerability to advances, then they found photos displaying the 88 cues of sexual exploitability that were identified. After that, a new group of 76 male participants was presented with these images in a randomized sequence and asked what they thought of each woman’s overall attractiveness, how easy it would be to “exploit” her using a variety of tactics (everything from seduction to physical force), and her appeal to them as either a short-term or a long-term partner.

The final results were actually mixed. Physical cues of vulnerability—for instance pictures of short women or heavier ones—had no effect. These women weren’t necessarily seen as easy in bed, nor were they judged as being particularly appealing partners for either a casual fling or a lifelong marriage. On the other hand, the more psychological and contextual cues, like pictures of dimwitted or immature-seeming women—or women who looked sleepy or intoxicated—did have an effect. Men not only rated them as being easy to get in bed, they were also perceived as being more physically attractive than female peers who seemed more lucid or quick-witted. When it came to judging these women as long-term partners, it was a no-go. They lost their entire attraction when it came to their potential as a prospective girlfriend or wife. In other words, can’t turn a heaux into a housewife. Not sure why science keeps trying to prove otherwise, evolution shows it’s been that way from the very beginning.

The good thing is the researchers did a follow-up study that dove a little bit deeper into these men’s personas—we wouldn’t want to blanket all men as only thinking with their little heads. The more promiscuity-minded men (or fellas on the prowl) who happened to also be a bit deficient in the personal empathy and warmth department were the ones who were most responsive to these female “exploitability” cues. Men who weren’t only focused on getting the panties tended to miss their opportunities altogether. So the moral of the story is don’t let a man with women’s issues try to sweet talk the panties off of you when you’ve had too much to drink. But you knew that already, right?

Politics / Biafra- The Truth About The Struggle by Naskiid(m): 1:11pm On Nov 03, 2015
I think it is high time I propounded my opinion about this Biafra dementia that has been unfurling all across the nation by some inebriated and ignoramus group of Igbo people. I will express my views no matter whose ox is gored.
I would have been a Biafran if the war had succeeded. My father was in the army during the war and I have read and heard, and seen evidences of the atrocities committed against the Southerners just before the Civil War in what is now called "Igbo Pogroms". My father told me everything that happened.
But what I still do not understand is why Igbos still went back to the same North after the War. Some of them still live there even after all the atrocities that are regularly committed against them! Why can they not live in the East and develop it? I just do not get it.
Two possible answers -(1) 'hubris' or the belief that you are so special and above all others that you will soon pull the wool over their eyes and have one on them (obviously not working on the Hausa north) (2) as I said earlier, a masochistic streak that wants to be hit again and again by the same person.
So somewhere in your pithy little brains you think the answer to all of your home-made problems is the creation of Biafra and the installation of 1 man so long as he originates from what you call Igbo nation. You know I would have even given your postulation a 5 second thought if not that I remember that all Igbo states are led by an Igbo governor and all their cabinet would also typically be all Igbo; yet not one Igbo state now or in the past has been any more distinguished than any other state in Nigeria.
Let me tell you a little more you need to know about OJUKWU, BIAFRA and the WAR. It may interest you to know the history, origin and events that sprung up that declaration "Republic of Biafra. This was not because of the love Ojukwu had for the igbo people, rather than his love for power and embitterment that power eluded him. Ojukwu wasted so many promising and prominent young Nigerians. These Youths were brainwashed by Ojukwu just what Nnamdi is doing. Immediate causes of the war included a military coup, a counter-coup, and persecution of Igbo living in Northern Nigeria. Control over oil production in the Niger Delta played a vital strategic role.
It may also interest you to know that the first Nigerian coup d’etat that resulted in the assassination of 11 senior Nigerian politicians and two soldiers as well as kidnapping three others was led by Kaduna Nzeogwu (an igbo) and General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi (another igbo)then used the coup as a pretext to annex power, ending Nigeria's nascent democracy. Then along came a counter coup led by Lt. Col. Murtala Mohammed which resulted to murder of Gen Aguiyi Ironsi as a reaction to the killings of Northern politicians and Officers by mostly Igbo soldiers.
Ojukwu felt Brigadier Babafemi Ogundipe was the highest in the hierarchy of power and should be made head of state. But when the coup plotters insisted and made Gowon the head of state, Ojukwu got pissed and this led to the civil war. Brigadier Ogundipe opted out peacefully, but pride did not allow Ojukwu to let go. Apart from the Aburi Accord in Ghana, there were a lot of other accords to settle issues amicably, but Ojukwu was bent on ruling his own oil rich country “Baifra”.
There was nothing like the "REPUBLIC OF BIAFRA " it's an illusion. That assertion was made on 30th may 1967, and was just for a selfish purpose (leadership ) Why did you think Ojukwu fought?, Who was he fighting for. Now another self-centered Nnamdi Kanu wants to take advantage of your sentiments . Ojukwu fought because he could not allow Gowon who was in the same rank as he was be head of state. Taking advantage of his father's wealth, he arrogated himself to a god of war without minding how many lives he would destroy.
Did you think Biafrans rebels combated openly with the Nigerian army? Apart from some cheap ambushes like the Abagana, where could they have confronted the Nigerian armies. Biafrans dealt with Biafrans. The rebels captured Igbo cities and tormented innocent lives. Raping young women and forcefully taking wives from their husbands. Recruiting boys between the ages of 13-15 and above into their army. Killed any person suspected of sabotage. The saboteurs were worn the Nigerian army uniform, killed and termed Nigerian soldiers. Igbos suffered, but Nigerian armies rescued the captured cities one after the other, until all was rescued.
Benin City was captured by the Biafran soldiers alongside Auchi, Agenebode, Okene, Asaba, Agbor , Iloshi and Atani while indiscriminately shooting and killing armless civilians in the process. Unbeknownst to General Banjo (the leader of this mobilization who was a Yoruba) a unit of Biafran soldiers under Lt. Col. Oechi attacked the government residence of Mid-Western Region governor David Ejoor at the behest of President Odumegwu Ojukwu to capture Ejoor dead or alive. Not wanting to appoint an Igbo over non-Igbo citizens General Banjo suggested that either David Ejoor, Sam Ogbemudia, or Col. Trimnell be made governor but Ojukwu refused and ultimately placed the Igbo medical-officer Albert Okonkwo governor.
Ojukwu would finally execute Vitor Banju, Emmanuel Ifeanjuna (The first black African to ever win an international gold medal) and one Alale following a plot to agree a ceasefire with Nigeria. Let me try to make it short. I think some of these so called pro-Biafrans should know that the only solution is to try to accept a modus vivendi and let’s live in peace and unity, and stop living in cloud cuckoo land with the stupendous misbegotten idea of Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu is an illiterate who sat in some classrooms, but it did not have any positive impact on him, and he has succeeded in brainwashing some gullible and incredulous igbo group to joining his selfish cause.
Now he has been lionized, praised, reverend and worshiped. That is exactly what he wants. Can anyone remember the names the igbos who have died for this Nnamdi madness? No! Only Nnamdi Kanu is the cynosure.
The truth is that Biafra was an Ojukwu Scam

From all your comments here I'm tempted to ask why no one bothered to ask "who did they send these photos to, how did they share it on social media?, which network provider is giving them Internet connectivity?, and even after the so called sim registration and bvn there is still no trace of anyone aiding them in this?"

Webmasters / Need To Boost Your Site's Traffic? How To Master Backlinks by Naskiid(m): 11:42am On Oct 19, 2015
Backlinks still matter--both for traffic and as an indication of your online reputation.

Search engine algorithms constantly change. But backlinks--links from another site to your site--are still important. (Roughly speaking, Google's early algorithms focused on backlinks under the premise the higher the number of "quality" backlinks, the more relevant the Web page.)

But improving your SEO isn't the only reason your website needs authoritative links.

Sure, you want higher rankings and more traffic from search engines, but you also want natural traffic from highly relevant sites.

And that means not only working hard to build backlinks to your site but also keeping an eye on links you don't actively seek that may be harmful to your business.

For advice I turned to Felix Tarcomnicu, the head of marketing at Monitor Backlinks, a tool that crawls the Web for new backlinks and sends email alerts when one of its 20,000 users' websites earns or loses links.

How to Get Positive Links

Start by looking at your competition's traffic sources. Simply do a few Google searches for your website's main keywords and see which sites rank the highest.

Then, to find the top referring sites for a specific competitor, use a tool like SimilarWeb. For example, check out the results for Airbnb. Not only can you get information about backlinks, you can learn about any site's number of visits, traffic sources, social traffic, traffic from display ads, etc.

Once you've identified a site's top referring backlinks, work to replicate their links and get the same kind of traffic to your website.

But don't forget that great links come from great products and services. Most customers talk about your business on social media, so use a tool like Topsy to see who mentions your brand on Twitter.

Ultimately, backlinks are an indication of reputation. When you sell great products, provide great service, and are consistently helpful and professional, people will talk about you. People will link to you. People will create positive reviews.

Don't just see acquiring backlinks as just a strategy--see acquiring backlinks as an outcome of excellence.

How to Remove Negative Backlinks

In some cases your website will get backlinks that can negatively impact your reputation. You might be surprised to find that your website has backlinks from:

Adult or gambling websites
Websites with offensive content
Websites totally unrelated to your business
Obviously if you own a home-delivery business, having links from adult websites can easily ruin your reputation. Use a tool like MonitorBacklinks to keep an eye on all existing backlinks and receive email alerts when new websites link to your site.

Then, if you identify links you would like removed:

Contact the webmaster and ask that the link be deleted. Provide the exact link location (page and location on page) to make it as easy as possible.
If the webmaster refuses to remove your link, contact their hosting company and let them know a website they host is spamming your business. (To determine the host provider use Whois.com.
If that doesn't work, report the website to Google's Webspam team. While this won't help you remove the link, it can help keep that page off the top Google results.
How to Manage Your Online Reputation

Sometimes a negative backlink is deserved: you messed up. Instead of putting time and effort into having a link from, say, a negative review removed, put that effort into fixing the problem. Respond. Find out what went wrong. Address the customer's concern.

Often the customer will revise or add to their review, sharing what you did and turning a bad situation into a (at least somewhat) better outcome. And in the process, your company's reputation will be improved.

But getting a positive backlink isn't the real reason to fix the problem. Ultimately you're in the business of delighting customers, not building backlinks. Work hard to satisfy your customers, especially those who initially aren't satisfied, and your company's reputation--and backlinks--will only grow stronger.

Again, backlinks are an indication of reputation. Work hard on acquiring authoritative backlinks, but work harder on landing and keeping delighted customers.

Politics / Attend Jonathan’s Rally Or Forfeit Your Salaries- Governor Fayose by Naskiid(m): 9:27pm On Jan 12, 2015
This is not the best of times for Ekiti workers as they face the test of choice over a presidential election marching order to attend President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign rally tomorrow in Ado-Ekiti, failure of which they should be prepared to forfeit their January salary.
And so as Nigerians grapple with the tragedy of leadership over the years and the opportunity presented by the February 14 election to support the leader who they believe is best suited to lead them out of the woods, Ekiti workers may not have the luxury of that constitutional liberty to support a leader well placed to lead them to the Promised Land.
The Monitors gathered that the maximum ruler in Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has sent out a circular ordering all state public school teachers, civil servants and their local government counterparts to attend the presidential campaign of PDP’s candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, tomorrow. Attendance is compulsory and those who absent themselves do so at their own risk. A register is being opened at the entrance of the venue for workers to record their presence. Those who fail to turn up should be prepared to
forfeit their January salary. It is now so bad that civil servants are compelled to attend political rallies such as the Jonathan Presidential campaign rally!
Dating And Meet-up Zone / What Do Our Girls Really Want From The Men? by Naskiid(m): 10:24am On Dec 30, 2014
FOR YEARS NOW I HAVE ALWAYS PONDERED OVER THIS MATTER, YOU GO LEFT, THEY WANT RIGHT, BUY CHEESE THEY WANT BALLS.

Check Out this:

If you give her sex, she will say you are after her body; if you don't give her sex she will say you are not man enough.

If you give her money she will call you a mugu; if you don't give her money she will say that you are stingy and greedy.

If you are very caring she will take you for granted; if you are not caring she will say that you don't love her.

If you always call her she will say that you are
disturbing her; if you don't call her she will say that you are cheating on her.

If you dress very well she will call you a player; if you don't dress well she will call you a dirty guy.

If you are quiet she will say that you are too boring. If you are not, she will say that you are too
lousy.

Help her in the kitchen she will say that this man is a woman wrapper; if you don't help her in the kitchen she will say that this man is using her as a slave.

A guy told me that when he dated his first girlfriend, she quit the relationship because he was demanding for sex. when he dated the second girlfriend, she quit
the relationship because he was not demanding for sex.

Now i want to know what kind of Man do Girls Really Need? What do they Want!
