The Nigeria Customs Service Board during its 55th Regular meeting chaired by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National planning Zainab Ahmad held on 28 Jun 22 at Customs Headquarters confirmed the appointment DCG and 2 ACGs.
The appointed Officers are DCG Hamza Gumi in charge of Human Resource and Development, ACG Ahmad Nasir from the Tariff and Trade Department and ACG Mustapha Sarkin-Kebbi in charge of Training and Coordination at Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

Today 5th July, 2022 Nigeria Customs Service tend to graduate the officers that undergoes rigorous training in Customs Training College Goron-Dutse, Kano.

COMMENCEMENT OF TRAINING.

Nigeria Customs Service is set to commence basic training for the recently enlisted and documented candidates.

The six (6 ) months training programme which will take place in Customs training Colleges in Kano and Lagos, will commence on Monday 10th January 2022.

Consequently, all documented candidates of Grade levels 03, 04 and 06 are requested to arrive the Customs Training College, Goron Dutse, Kano, while those of Grade 08 are to report at Customs Training College, Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday 9th January 2022.

Recruits are to note that any act of indiscipline at any stage of the training programme will attract severe penalties which may include out right dismissal/ eviction from the College.

Please also note that arrival at the designated College according to the specified levels above on Sunday 9th January 2022 is mandatory as training commences on Monday 10th January 2022.

Traffic warden officer are the visible officers within police organization in every city, were they perform their duty with joy and happiness; are the officer near to the community members most especially motorists.
While Nigeria police marginalized and stagnanted them in their promotion. Traffic warden officers need to be giving autonomy out from Nigeria Police Force.

The Nigeria Police Force Recently Promoted Officers, as stated and promise by IGP Mohammed Adamu NPM mni . According to the Police Boss "The promotion of the officers comprising 56,779 Sergeants to Inspector, 17,569 Corporal to Sergeants and 8,431 Constables to Corporal is part of the on-going efforts at boosting the morale of personnel and repositioning the Force for greater efficiency. This includes: 2003/2004, 2011/2013 and 2016/2017 men of the Police Force to benefit from the promotion.

Sequel to the report, it was tag Promotion General, to those who are due to the promotion. Unfortunately, Traffic wardens who are also part of the force as specialist, they are lamenting regarding the promotion IGP Mohammed Adamu and Police service Commission approved as bias.

Notable among there concern and reasons is this, they were enlisted into the force 2007/2008 till date, apart from there first promotion to the Rank of corporal. Nothing more again and they are active in discharging their lawful duties. General Duties of the Police Force who were enlisted same year, awaiting Inspectors now while those enlisted 2011/2012 as their junior are now sergeant.

From the information gathered by the writer, they see it not fair. One of them whose identity is undisclosed here Posted on social media that "PSC & Police Force, what offense traffic wardens committed and why are you treating traffic wardens like this? 2007/2008 intake traffic wardens still Corporal and you promoted 2011 general duty, Police band, Police tailor, Police mechanic etc. You all enjoy promotion, why always giving us pains? Is it a Crime to be traffic wardens? How will you feel if you were to be in our shoes?"

Police force needs reformation. This is one of the basis. Those complaining are part of the force. Government should consider the cry of this set of Personnel. One of the law guiding civil/public services is promotion i.e. there are necessity and staff deserves promotion at due date and time when necessary.

this is disgrace for NPF personnel. if I'm the sergeant I will shot him insteadly without any hesitation..

Since after the civil war fought in Nigeria, has the government development the southeast? No! yet they are planning on developing the northeast that is still at risk with more attacks due to fuuucked up ideology and fanatical teachings of their youths. Rather Igbos properties were seized in various part of the country and when Igbos struggled to get to were they are now, some disgruntled Nigerians term them that "Igbos too like money", why won't they like money? Is it not money that they will use to develop their areas destroyed after the war? Now monies from Nigeria pocket will be use for development of those areas which is still at war. I have always said it that we southerners have no sense at all. OBJ, GEJ etc were all waste to the southern interest, rather they were forming good guys, good guys my arse! It's a lesson to southerners next time we'll reason with our functional brains. Hate and envy won't take us anywhere. Don't worry in few years time when all those people Buhari has fixed up in various government establishment will raise to the top and colonised the system then we go know wetin done hit us, by then it will be too late. Northerners are futuristic, while we down south just dey see only present situations. Goodmorning southern Nigerians.

The wardens are in need for help from federal government due to their maltreating and discrimination from nigeria police....Traffic warden service is the only federal government job in Nigeria that does not accept the educational development or progress because Nigerian police force by their wicked setting had sidelined traffic wardens without reasons, imagine traffic wardens with ND,HND,B'S.C MASTERS even PHD under the leadership of the police are still caring junior rank till date without hope of educational benefit, the only relationship between police and wardens is SALARY and that is from federal government account.
Forty two years now since traffic warden had being with Nigerian police force no development in the lives of traffic wardens across the federation. See what we are losing from service and we are still working (1)promotion (2)allowances (3)appointment as DIG traffic, AIG traffic, STO and DTO (4)special course (5)investigation and prosecution (6)well equipped offices and others benefits set for federal public servant's.

Actually they are not because because I saw many traffic wardens who's work over 15 years without promotion. One of my friend says that they are just like a child staying a house without his mother, means they are just like slaves. God help dem to have their authonomy.
