Most top clubs already tied to strikers, what's our own excuse with the nonsense Jackson served us last season in front of goal?

Ki'se ojulasan.
Arsenal nko? Tottenham?

We duly hand over our Sterling problems to Roland and his crew. We never going back.

Sterling out.......Sancho in.

Now in the words of @Ballzproblemz, let us cook.

Sure.

Sancho has eye for good passes and he is unselfish. I believe he will come good for us and form a good partnership with Jackson.
Sounds it!

See as I shock as some people on here disagree with the transfer. Sancho is the ultimate player for Maresca and people will be shocked when he goes in and grabs a first 11 shirt, pushing Neto back. Neto, Felix, Sancho in succession. Brilliant window.

We've gone and built a serious squad with scary attacking options.

Looking forward to the season.

Lol
No difference between current form Martinelli and Sterling. No difference at all.

Only thing is that Arsenal has a more stable team at the moment so it may help Sterling some.

But I earnestly pray it goes through.

Sterling, Broja, Nwa Jéhovah

Make we dey plan to shift Chilwell, Disasi, Emeka and Mudryk next window.
You want to shift Chukwuemeka?
Why?

Chelsea still rates him I guess.
Hoping he forms a great partnership with Guehi and they return together next summer.
I think the loan is to potentially increase his value. Chelsea will still sell him the moment they can. Pure profit.

Walai haaland was a beast at Dortmund 🥲

Never knew he was this good outside the box
At the time, I implored Chelsea to invest the £150m required. I said it was an infinitely smarter investment than Lukaku and Kane at £90m, and I called him the best striker in a generation.

We should have paid what was required at the time.

KDH, Mudryk and Nkunku all playing average level football. They all just look incapable of showing any quality against these minions.

We'll give it a few more weeks.

you believe in Sancho, what about midryk
The reality of Mudryk is that he is easily two seasons behind consistent productivity. Maybe he will come good, but it won't be this season.

So he's there, but he's not very useful for us now. We should not forget how our season under Tuchel derailed once James and Chilly went off at the same time. And that's what started this 3-year slump. We failed to plan back up for the crucial positions. Under Tuchel's system, it was the Wing aBacks.

Maresca's build up structure is heavily dependent on wing play. All this newly-found optimism will go to pants if Neto and Madueke become unavailable overnight.

The only hesitation I have against the move is that it could block the emergence of Estavao, Paez and Tyrique George, all 3 who become ready next season.

I will take Sancho in a heartbeat. Why are people against this move? It didn't work out at United for all sorts of reasons but there is a fantastic player in there.

In any case, we need to factor in the possibility of Neto and Madueke being injured at the exact same time. And then suddenly we are left with Mudryk and Nkunku.

Fans need to relish the moment.

Last season, Wolves scored the same 2 goals against us but we could only score 1 and we lost all the 3 points. We conceded the same 2 goals this season, but we scored 6 and took the maximum points away from home.

There's every reason to be upbeat as we could outscore a Wolves team that we couldn't last season.
Absolutely spot on!

When Pochettino was benching him for Sterling at the right wing last season.
Well true....Poch did bench him......

Although, only Palmer was good under Poch. Everyone else was pants. Madueke wouldn't have turned good under Poch even if he played every week. Poch's methods were killing the ability in every player.

That's why I said repeatedly then that I am not willing to condemn any player until we see them under a good manager.

Madueke, although always had ability, is turning out good now because he's getting told by Maresca exactly where to stand at all times in relation to other positions.

Palmer playing positionally, almost right next to Madueke is also a master stroke, because it means Palmer can unleash Madueke into dangerous areas constantly.

Maresca's system is unleashing Madueke. Expect him to score double figures this season, easily.

Now I just need the second number 8 to unleash Neto on the left side.

Alright but do you agree we still need another defensive midfielder?

Fatigue is coming,if not here with caicedo feeling lazy already.
He's not lazy. He's only adjusting from what was the tactically-chaotic football Poch was playing last season... which I always continued to say our problem was mostly tactical and not particularly personnel issue.

If you checked before Chelsea, when Caicedo played positional football under DeZerbi, he never made that many errors. These errors will sort themselves out with time under Maresca.

In the meantime, we have good cover.

If not for Lovren's mistake dzeko was kept at bay for the most of the game. A Liverpool's team without van dijk would have been knocked out by city by cancelling out goals by sallah. We saw what sevilla did to them.

When you have a solid defence marshalled by a leader who ensured his mates keep shape at the back, kept his position, warding off threats from strikers, your team will have confidence to go on all attack.

Go and tell klopp or Gerrard or any sensible Liverpool fan, that van dijk has added nothing to their defence, if you will not receive a knock on your dumb head.
Meanwhile, also Airmark.

Pep will knock you if he sees this. Go and ask pep what he faced in his first season with Bravo, Mangala, clichy etc as his defenders that made him spend 500million plus replacing them.
Make dem dey argue stupid things. Like Pep is parading lightweight as defenders.

All of City's defenders are first 11 starters for their National Teams.

We are talking about Saliba being the best defender in the league but these actors are trying to make you think that doesn't count for Arsenal going toe-to-toe with City. It's just about scoring.

Very unintelligible arguments.

Don't mind them.

City conceded 1 goal against fxcking newcomers, Ipswich, they scored 4 in return.

We conceded 2 against Wolves, we scored 6.

Next match opponents wouldn't want that smoke to go toe to toe like Wolves did today. That will reduce the pressure on the defence going forward.
The way you reduce football to a select number of items is mind-boggling.

Meanwhile, everyone is engrossed in the main argument but forgetting that this is the same attack you criticised, saying cannot win anything...... but you are here taking the glory at the same time. Saying you are vindicated.

We have not invested in said top profile striker you so desperately wanted, yet we scored 6.

How do you explain this?

conceding for every goal scored can't be outscoring

Outscoring is scoring more than you conceed in a game and that wins you matches. If you conceed zero goals and you score more than zero you win three points
That's because you are looking at the term 'outscoring' as an exclusive event with no dependencies.

In reality, outscoring is an event that can have no life without it's dependency - outdefending.

It is not even about being guaranteed goals to score.

First half was a draw simply because Wolves responded to every goal CFC scored.

Second half Chelsea scored 4 unreplied goals. If it played out like the first half, it would have been 6-6.

The attack still had Jackson, Noni and Palmer - players that were here last season. They produced 2 goals in the first half (which was enough for Arsenal to defeat Villa yesterday).

The only problem in that first half? The defense conceded 2 goals.

But the attack is the problem per the Citadel.
Don't mind them. Actually it is really an intellectually-flawed argument. The whole concept of outscoring your opponent is heavily dependent on a strong defence.

It is impossible to outscore your opponent without a good defence. If you conceded one goal for every one you score, you will never be able to outscore your opponent. FACTS!

You are speaking from only one side of the mouth.

Did you outscore your previous opponent?
Sir, let's base our theory in reality. There's a lot to unpack from today's game but there are times during the season when we would not be up to it. Midweek games, tiredness, lethargy, injury to key players, you name it. We would need to grind a result for 3pts. 1 goal might be all that we need.

If you do not have a defence that can guarantee the 3 points from a one goal lead, then your theory falls apart, because it is fundamentally, not based in reality.
