erusen: yes Mason mount and Kai havertz are mutually inclusive on this thread ,I won't bring up mount in discussions about havertz outside this place.lets pretend that people who want havertz or mount to failure here don't do it because they want to hype the other. I can tell you that there is no single person on this thread that wants Havertz to fail. He cost the club a fortune. People may criticise him and/or disagree with the hype from his fanboys, this is not to say they want him to fail. The same cannot be said of Mount. |

Yes please! nateevs: Ilaix Moriba is who we should be trying to get on the dirt cheap for midfield and forget this Kounde business. Chalobah has taken that spot, and for free. |

Griffon: Chelsea Football Club transfer window:
➡️ IN
Romelu Lukaku - £97.5 million
⬅️ OUT
Tammy Abraham - £34 million Fikayo Tomori - £25 million Marc Guehi - £18 million Valentino Livramento - £5 million Victor Moses - £4 million Ike Ugbo - £4 million Lewis Bate - £1.5 million Myles Peart-Harris - £1.5 million Pierre Ekwah - £1.5 million Dynel Simeu - £1.5 million Olivier Giroud - £900,000 Kenedy - £500,000 (loan fee)
TOTAL - £97.4 million
Chelsea have basically brought Lukaku back for free On another topic, selling Lewis Bate for £1.5m to me is still madness. I felt we could have got more. Livramento had not kicked a ball in any senior appearance and we got £5m. I expected Lewis to fetch similar figures. That said, I still can't get over letting Livramento and Bate leave. I think we need to get on top of this very quickly. These two were the absolute proper potential players to make it to the first team. Losing Lewis, Tino and Ike in one window is not a good thing even though it helps to buy Lukaku. It looks like a crisis. |

BlueRayDick: [quote author=nateevs post=104825608]Last season is not this season bros. City is not 'walking away' with anything this season. Chelsea have Tuchel and Lukaku.
When I mean walk away with the league, I Mena almost every team challenging city for the league will have injury concerna; then the issue of squad depth comes into play.
I've seen Chelsea fans post gaurdiola's second team and I can bet his second team will bury the likes of Brighton, Brentford, Norwich, Crystal palace, Everton, etc....and that's how leagues are won with 15+ point advantage.
Well let's see how it goes sha.... See our first and second teams. What you do think? We are not messing around.

Ibime: Good money for Tammy. Good money for Tammy indeed. That's £34m for Tammy, £20m for Guehi, £5m Livramento and £1.7m for Giroud and probably £5m to £10m for Batshuayi and we can say it's been a very good window. That's about £67m income from player sales.....making £30m net spend on Lukaku, after a Champions League winning season. Happy days! |

popizaino: I apologise on the bolded if you thought I ever took a jab. And that aside,I intentionally did not want to talk about RLC being a crap player or in other not to elongate the discussion, because unlike most of you, I don't believe RLC was anything other than average even in his suppose best form under sarri . That's alright baba! I respect your views as well. Thanks for contributing. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by nateevs(m): 10:23pm On Aug 14, 2021 |
popizaino: I'm still very unapologetic concerning what I said on RLC, but make no mistake, it doesn't mean I am not sympathetic on his injury. Chelsea football club is not a nursing home for us to wait for seven years for him to get to at least 60%fitness. There are number of clubs without ambition such as assnal that can tolerate such lengthly period for him to get to full form. It's been years since we won the league, we need all players in full form for us to have any chance at the title .RLC should go elsewhere and be recuperating not Chelsea. Now you have completely lost focus of your own argument. No one is asking for him to stay at Chelsea and recuperate. The reason for my post and the injection on my own life experience (which I see you taking a jab at), was to illustrate the difficulty involved sometimes in players getting back to form. The overall point was to make you have second thoughts when you ignore the lasting effects of injuries on players, and call them crap and grade B players, especially when that person had previously been performing very well at top level. RLC may eventually have to leave Chelsea to revive his career (even I an ardent fan is resigned to this); let's just take a moment to understand why they may have fallen from grace. |

Havertz10: chalolah hasn't really been tested, transfer windows closes in 2 weeks, we have dominated possession in the games that we have played so far, if we stop pushing for kounde because we are 2nd guessing and someone else gets him and chalolah turns out to be another empty confidence filled performer, we would be short in that position and it will hinder our chances of winning the league, if we push for kounde and chalolah comes good, then we have 2 solid defenders long term, something we have been lacking for a long time, I don't know why you people are worried about the finances, Chelsea as a football club has never been sustainably profitable, forget all the net spend hype, we need to build our brand to increase our commercial revenue, players like kounde with world class qualities are needed to achieve that Please don't go into finances as it seems obvious you have not been tracking the club's financial results over 2 decades. To the main matter....we are not going to win or lose the league over the decision or not to buy a 22-year-old defender from the Spanish League. Let's chill a bit. It's not like we are buying Ricardo Carvalho in his prime. Say what you like about Kounde, he also remains untested in the PL and there is nothing to suggest that he might not find it difficult. What then? We are not asking for Chalobah to lead us to the league title. We are just saying if it means Chalobah going on loan just so we can get an untested 22-year PL defender for nearly £70m, then Chalobah stays; especially when he's shown that he has the talent, determination, poise and temperament to fit in and do a job. |

drisham: This chalobah tho...For him to have broken into the first team ahead of the likes of livramento, guehi, sarr and co . Must mean tuchel was impressed with him in training and pre-season, I hope he comes good though This right here sir! And then there's James, Zouma, Sarr in the squad, yet he gets another 90 minutes after 120 minutes mid week. Indeed he has impressed Tuchel. |

BlueAngel444: Zouma will be sold, Silva is old Zouma is only being sold because of talks of Kounde, otherwise he is main stay. Kounde is a good player but he is only 22 and we should be careful about inflating his experience. |
