There are many points to be dropped. The unpredictability on the top is what make the PL special and particularly this season. City I think are going through that expected blip. I still Spurs to stumble at some point. United have the most experience at times like these and I will say Chelsea after.
It will be very interesting to see those who still stand come may but I have no doubt in mind that we won't give up a top four spot. Hopefully, we sign one or two players in the window and consolidate on our position. Can Swansea do us a favour and help put some distance between us and Arsenal? Liverpool already dropped more pts. They, Arsenal and Spurs are the main threats to our CL spot. |

Ibime: Are you saying it was a fluke?
Lamps done deliver too many points for this AVB guy. For me, it's still not conclusive. In one picture, the ball seemed to hit his leg. In another, it looks like he actually kicked it. Then again, he was in the 6 yard box to have an effect on goal. Kudos to him. |

FBS: Alex to QPR imo is a done deal. According to reports. As per Gael going to Dijon. Not bad considering the fact that he made no impact (and got even fewer games) while he was with Bolton. so well, maybe at least he will get more games under his belt. Playing is certainly good for him except if we don't carefully choose his loan destination, the whole process could be counter-productive. |

We are playing a different Sunderland side from the first leg. They will be energetic and very hard to beat. If we show up, pass the ball well and try to score goals, we will win.
If we choose today to exhume profligacy once again, it will be the same old story. |

Politics › Re: Update 4-nigeria Unions Suspend Strikes In Fuel Dispute by nateevs(m): 11:49pm On Jan 13, 2012 |
Beaf: Stop being funny. I am telling you what is proper for us to go out and demand, I am sure you need leaders of your local community to bring their own idea's forward so that we can collectively "expound enduring principles, rights and requirements of Nigerianness?" No? If you are waiting for GEJ to come clean your arse, then you have a long wait indeed; even if he wants to, there are 167million people in the country. Lazy fart. Yes, there is no frame work in the country and an effective system will all together wipe out corruption, it is however insulting on the intelligence of Nigerian to say "Corruption is not the problem". You cannot paint a picture of dependence. How do propose installing a frame work with institutionalised corruption? Do you think those who have 24-7 access to the President and walk out with billions worth of contracts will allow a framework that rids them of such opportunities? In light of the last question, how then is corruption not the problem? In a bid to make GEJ look like a hero, you always skew facts and remain as evasive as possible. Do you have no shame? |

Well they have not been a part of the team but up till now we haven't been without 4 players. If we are letting 6 players out of the team, I reckon we should be bringing in at least 3 players instead of the 2 AVB says.
Like you said, what he said might be different from what is happening. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:13pm On Jan 12, 2012 |
Several reports linking us to Hazard for a January move. AVB says only two players are coming in. I cannot understand that too when we loan out Josh, Kakuta, sell Alex and Anelka and let Drogba and Kalou go to the ACN. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Pride Of London by nateevs(m): 3:08pm On Jan 12, 2012 |
Alex to QPR. . . Can you imagine? Gael to Gijon - a club just one point above relegation zone. Unless he is walking in to save their season and is head and shoulders above what they have now, it already looks like another pointless loan.
Still pointless anyway, considering that he is loaned outside the PL.
Strange decisions. |
Politics › Re: How Subsidy Went From N300b To N1.3 Trillion: Has Anyone In Govt Explained? by nateevs(m): 11:59pm On Jan 11, 2012 |
Unless you have the right figures, it is silly to claim that those factors have contributed significantly to a four-fold increase. Estimate increase in number of vehicles, consumption, generators and exchange rates and arrive at a figure that clearly shows any significance on a four-fold increase, until then it's pure conjecture and another round of silly excuses for an otherwise weak, compromised and utterly corrupt government. |

PapaBrowne: YOU GUYS DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT FIGURES!! Fuel subsidy didn't jump from N300 Billion to N1.3 Trillion!!
These are the figures for previous years:
2006: N261 Billion
2007: N278 Billion
2008: N633 Billion
Subsequent years saw a huge increase due to various factors which Efisher and others have mentioned!! Can we see the figures of subsequent years along with the link where these figures have been quoted? |
