I mean just look at the horrible efforts on passes from Ramires when we do get the ball.
You don't need to be motivated to make a basic pass.

Mediocre. A combination of lack of off-the-ball movements and inability to stretch play from lack of natural wingers.
It's all the clogged up in he middle and more often, very predictable.

@ Gbawe thanks for an insightful post.  Not even Jesus could've persuaded NOI to change her mind, she was already committed to her agenda.
Which now seems to be in total contrast to what she tried to make us believe at the probe panel. She went into a 5-minute rant of how she wasn't the one who took the decision and how it was unfair on her that the Senator tried to paint her in that light.

Unknown to us all, she's circulating the agenda online and trying to garner diaspora support.

Obi1kenobi:
I'm going to try and be polite though it's difficult with the illogical, fallacious arguments here.
For starters, I'm really sick of disproving claims of people that we were pro-deregulation - it has worn me out for 2 weeks telling people that despite the stance of our political class, the overwhelming majority of Igbos were opposed to subsidy removal.

People went about their usual commercial activities in the SE because there were no opportunistic hoodlums on the streets to loot and destroy their property and extort them like in the SW and North. Putting it simpler for the dim people, if I were a trader in Idumota or Balogun, my fear of hoodlums would make me abandon shop till the strike's over unlike in Onitsha or Nnewi where I could do business even if I opposed subsidy removal.

And questioning why we shouldn't buy fuel at well over the approved N97 is as daft as me questioning the SW and North for buying above N65 considering many of them said it was N65 or nothing!

Seriously, quit this propaganda which among some degenerate bufföons, has overshadowed far more important national issues like the insecurity in the North and quest for probity in our budget.
It's not propaganda. Beaf started a thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-838107.0.html. When you have the time, please go through the thread and see for yourself where this assumption of the SE not joining in the strike came from. Infact most people who posted on the thread were of the opinion that "most people in the SE supported the subsidy removal" . . . Some even labelled other tribes as "lazy". I am not quite sure I saw u on that thread claiming that most people were against the removal of subsidy.

So now that you are telling us now that . .

Obi1kenobi:

It really beats my imagination as this is in clear contrast to the assertion all over this forum.
So no it's not illogical and fallacious . . If there's any propaganda at all, it was invented by the same people you see on that thread.

It's amusing because you made everyone believe that you didn't protest because "it was not in your interests"
This to me means you were satisfied with the eventual outcome of the saga - N141 per litre.

Others went on protests and they were called names.
Their actions caused a reduction the price - N97.

Fuel continued to sell at high prices in the east and suddenly you want it to sell at the reduced price because "it is in your interest?"

Mind you I am not coming from a tribal POV.

Imagine the way GEJ handled the Northern crisis without causing a major war, how smart he was not to fall for the tricks of those devils, how he listened and reinstated the subsidy.

S&P has recently upgraded our credit rating , making Nigeria more attractive to investors, Human rights have improved and the foundation is being laid for development and progress.

Will they allow this guy get on with it    Nope.

Same thing the silly republicans did to Obama, infighting, bickering, protesting for no real cause has brought America to it's knees.

We keep copying the west, it was occupy America, and then occupy London, now Nigeria is once again COPYING the west.

Let us be original, calm and supportive of GEJ.

Give him time.
So Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria are all copying the west too.
Shambles of an opinion.

People can choose to support GEJ based on how they see his performance.
GEJ, should, with the powers conferred on him, win the trust of the people.
It should never be the other way round.

The people are tired of promises. They want to see effects.
Tell me one thing that GEJ has done that affects the man on the street? Transport, Power, Economy, Jobs, Roads, name it.
Why should they support him?

@LadyT,
I don't agree her head should roll first. It is very basic. She resumed in September and her very first task was to prepare the budget. In the course of doing that she discovered several anomalies: entrenched and complex anomalies far too difficult to understand within the time frame for the budget. In between understanding the problems and stopping the leaks she was able to deal with some of the pension and salary sleaze in the police using biometrics system.

Now most of the anomalies discovered during budgets preparation all have their sources in a complex system called - subsidy. To understand the problem better, you have to unveil the subsidy! Tough as it was, that was what she did. All in the nick of time.

If you look beyond sentiment, you will understand she did the right thing.

Now let us deal with the mega fraud behind the subsidy and bid the practice good bye. Who knows maybe our refineries might start working again.
Really? She did the right thing?
Have you seen the Comptroller General's assistant's dragging OBJ into the whole furore?
The ministry of Finance, Petroluem? and how it goes on till date?

Which anomalies did NOI discover? The anomalies she per-took in under the OBJ administration or the the one she told the Nation she saw?

I am trying, really trying to understand what she is trying to justify with these rants. The dude asked a simple question. What level of sunsidy can Nigeria sustain without increasing just like it is done somewhere else? Just quote figures lady and stop the merry-go-round.

If we cannot afford it, let's just say so. I don't care how much oil Suadi, Quate and the US have got. How have we channelled ours?

Beaf:
People would always have resisted. Many of us argued stridently that the removal of the subsidy would clear away massive levels of corruption in the system. That is excactly what we are witnessing now.

We stand vindicated. By the time this is all through, every man and his dog would regret ever paying N65 only to be so enslaved.
Your response shows that you lack understanding of where I am coming from.
Your stance was a NO to the resistance. If you knew the people will resist by taking to the streets, why did you drag those actions through the gutters of tribal sentiments? You instead tried to make a section of the country look better than another by mocking protesters' choice to resist and now turn back to say you knew they would and you stand vindicated?

If everyone took your stance, no one would have protested and all this would not have been revealed. There's no moral ground for you to claim vindication of decision on the back of the the comments you've posted in the past few weeks.

If the people did not protest, none of this would have been revealed and hence the protesters are vindicated . . Not you.
