We cannot stop conceding from set-pieces. . It's impossible at this stage. . |

I love this strategy Ashley at LB. . Zhirkov on the left of midfield and Malouda on the left of a 4-3-3. . It's murder on the left flank. .
I just wish we can go two ahead and try not to concede from set pieces. . |

slimshay: Arshavin should tell the bloody truth to is team mates at the training ground and the dressing room. He shouldnt be telling the bloody truth to the newspapers simple.
As for executing the players we have, i will wait until the season is over.
And to put things in perspective, the youth project is not an experiment like people are trying to make it sound, it was a viable option to ensure we remain a sustainable club that can compete. Ok maybe there is some question mark abt the ability to compete but would you rather be liverpool right now? You don't have to be a Liverpool to compete. The project works. The project is so viable that other teams see a need to emulate at least parts of it. There's a freeze on spending on millions at the Bridge and more emphasis on pushing the young ones through. However, you'll hear Gourlay say time and again, if we have to make a big money spending we do. I can't remember a team that's brought through so many accomplished youngsters than Barca yet they fork out the millions when they have to. You won't find a Fabregas every year. . . but when you do you balance it out with more established players. Buying four established players right now in Arsenal cannot push Arsenal to becoming a Liverpool . . |

@Chamotex. . Excuse me please. After reading what Debo posted I had to fetch this out. . . It is really important . . Call it my allowance. . nateevs: Are you for real? Only RVP can come back and make Arsenal stronger. You even mentioned Djorou. . That's supposed to make me go wow! It's no miracle dude. You are not the worst hit by injuries.
You guys are really hurt I am treating your lead with ignominy. I'm sorry I don't know how else to look at it.
I'm going to sleep now allowing you guys to enjoy your "15 mins of fame" like HNIC called it. Knowing fully well that in 3 weeks y'all will be asking why Wenger did not buy.
Bye gayners. Is this not beautiful? |

chic2pimp: I beg to differ. He would be jobless. 4 years without a trophy woulda seen to that. dayokanu: Show me any manager in Spain without any trophy in 4 years and kept the job Wenger will not go four years without a title in Spain . . No way. Arsenal's footie takes them to a sure top four spot year in year out in the PL. . In Spain, they will win the La liga every other year at least. |

doyin13: Well, Arsenal have spent a lot less than United during this time yet managed to reach one UCL final too.
I am not holding court for Wenger. He has certainly not helped his team with his tactics the past few seasons.
But his ability to spot talent is still second to none. Wish I could say thesame for his inplay abilities.
I think he has a good crop of players. The defence is not the strongest but I do not think this team is built to be airtight at the back and he should simply give up fielding a cautious lineup. He should spread the field so their superior movement would have maximum effect and hope the defence limits the damage to a manageable level. Style of play also is a big factor . . . While doggedness sometimes pays, other times its wise to understand that there's a fine line between standing for something and obsession with futility. In spain, Wenger will be manager of the world. . In England however, you have to be a lil' pragmatic; especially when you need the points. . Arsenal's style is envious . . Why not spot a youngster like Rooney who understands the geometry of the goal post. Shooting form outside the box is not anti football, it's spectacular. Neither is crossing for a header. Incorporate the few extra things and they'll be team that can't be stopped. Until then. . . |

doyin13: I don't think its over for Arsenal.
Not totally convinced by either Chelsea or United. I suspect both will be dropping points intermittently the rest of the season.
Arsenal need to put this spell behind them and go on some run and they should be back in it You don't have to be convinced. It's about getting them 3 pts when you have to. Even if you have to win ugly. And that's what Utd and Chelsea know how to do. |
