Uhhmm! Roman lost at least £700m and close to £1bn in the world financial crisis. . . How much do you think the owners of Hughes are worth ? what the exchange rate of a pound to Euro now? Do you now it was cheaper to buy a player three months ago in pounds than it is now?  Let's not go into economics. . . but that's one of the many reasons Kenyon's saying we are not buying in January. . . . . Not your fabricated one!

Wenger has won NUMEROUS Titles in England, even if he doesn't win again, his pedigree in England and Arsenal is forever established, ditto JM and Fergie. I've told you to leave these petty comparisons and answered you pages back.

Your excuses are shocking. So Scolari doesn't determine his formation, he simply sets out to entertain as told by Roman?? If that is the truth, Scolari is not even half the man he says he is. You still failed to answer a pertinent question - WHY should Scolari get funded more than his current level when AG did not get the same benefit, even without a pre-season, without a chance to run a FULL season and yet he ran MU close in both major tournaments?

Firstly. . . because Steve Clarke was in charge not Grant. . .

Secondly. . . Bos the team is a left-over of JM playing a style they've accustomed to for over 3 years. . Route-one. . Hoof to Drogba. . find pacy players on the flanks. . Robben, Duff, Cole, SWP, Eidur, Even Essien, Tiago and Lamps sometimes. . .Grant came in with the help of Steve Clarke was intelligent enough to note that JM's formula worked and decided not to change it. . .He kept on playing what the players were used to, hence the success. .  but something changed. .

Thirdly. .  Roman wanted a team that plays beautifully and capable of winning trophies at the same time. . he employs Scolari . . part of the job done. . LPS comes in and tweaks with the playing style and managed to get something out of the team . . the style's changed at least a bit. . part job done . . now the completion of the job which is the vision I see (Roman's)is removing square pegs and replacing them with round pegs for the round holes . . . because we have not done this . . the stumbling will occur. . the players have to dump what they've been playing for a new style they are getting used to . . it works against weaker defenses because it's an easier task but with more organize teams, we can't break through . . hence the need for players that have actually played in this style . .


and that sums up why LPS needs finance for HIS own players. . .

Scolari lacks ideas to turn things around - he falls short at the final hurdle, except when he had a fantastic Brazil side at his disposal with individual genius to do things for themselves - and even that was a short lived 7-game tournament. Stick him in the pressure cooker in the premiership and he wilts.

I was waiting for this . . I knew it was only a matter of time before someone said this . . . So that means we can put Debo in charge the multi-million pound outfit called ManU and the individual brilliance of the players will still achieve what Fergie did last season. .

Maybe its because of the individual brilliance of the players Grant achieved what he did last summer. . That might be true you know Debo!. . JM had Robben, Duff, Joe, SWP, Eidur, Crespo, Drogba, Kezman, and Mutu as forward players at some point . . only three could play at a time . . check out the bench. . who do we have now . . Malouda, Anelka and Kalou . . actually the only 3 ever available. . . what's on the bench Belletti, Alex, Ferriera and Bridge?. . .

Yes I am making excuses. . . but if you do not consider this a valid excuse . . . then forget it . . . Fire him and bring in another manager who does not perform in his first season and then we fire that one again and become Real madrid uhm?

My Opinion about the big talk . . . . . why we can't win big teams!!!!. .

I don't think it's about Scolari himself. . I think it's about personel. . . We have an averge forwad line in Kalou, Malouda, Anelka and Joe Cole . . Like I said earlier in the week compare this lot to Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney Berbatov and it's a no brainer. . in this same forward line positons, ManU have Giggs and Nani as back ups. . .


Kalou and co and suerstars against small teams . . but lack the tactical nous to be intelligent against an organised defence. . which could include teams that park the ball in front of goal and certainly includes the teams that have world class defenders. . Vidic, Carragher, Ferdinand, Skertl and the rest. . . You sincerely won't expect Kalou and Malouda to get the better of these guys. . Well I don't !!!


We need to change this front line as soon as possible. . I really do not mind Anelka being a sub striker. .Imagine a strike force of Mario Gomez, Riberi, Aiden McGeady, Diego Capel, Drogba , With Anelka and one and two younger wingers as back. . This is a winning formula half way solved. . and it doesn't matter what you play you'l almost always win . . . and you'l surely give big teams a run for their money. . .


To be honest our player purchases of the last 3 seaons has been appaling to say the least. . . We'v not signed a player in last three years that holds down a position for good. .

Scolari wanted Robinho. . what did the board do? They dragged and dragged until the last minute. . a half leg Robinho, though light weighted is still better than kalou, Malouda and Joe put together. .  


Until we solve this problem we will never get the better of big teams. . It's not Scolari's tactics as such but better players will surely make scolari look like a genius. . . unfortuntely I hear Roman is not up for any spending in January except on a one-out one-in basis. . . . So brace up guys for some more disappointing results. .

Meanwhile we watch . . . I still think however we can still clinch the premiership!!!

The reasons we lost the game. . .

Firstly we got complacent after the first goal . . . we had two very clear chances by Lampard and Kalou that were put wide . . which could have put the game to bed if they had gone in . .

Secondly a dubious equalizer out of the blue shatters the whole thing . . It still looked good enough then and we could have won had they not scored almost immediately . . they did. . and

Thirdly, Scolari did the dumbest thing . .took Mikel off and the whole midfield broke down. . . we could not pull together a string of passes. . Since the game play is based on passing forward . . with Mikel's sub that could not happen. . from then on we would lose the game. .

Ibime was dead-right  on the Mikel thing . . but I disagreed with the option of throwing in wingers to cross. . cross to who . . that won't work either. . The whole team . . only Ballack and Terry can head. . .


The solution I think to all these is to buy in January and buy well. . . A striker good in the air . . two wingers right and left that have good decision making and we'l be very fine . .

I know it will look the funniest thing to say I still support Scolari. . . You obviously want him sacked. . OK fairly so as he hasn't delivered. .Who should we replace him with? Cos I do not support the "sack him" thing as I believe he can still turn this around. .

I neva said we don't need wingers to win . . We only got into an argument of the difference between Wingers and forwards. . . I favoured wingers with a typical 4-4-2. . and a playmaker in the middle. . . the problem is not Deco. . It is easy for us to pick out points from the match that favours our arguments. . . imagine what could have happened if Kalou and Lampard scored their glaring chances in the first half. . . Did you see many times where Kalou could have made better decisions and didn't. . there are several  

You also came after the first half to say that we were comfortable and very entertaning. . Deco was playing then . . .

I know from now on this thread will witness a different feel . . . with many of the comments pointing towards nateevs. . . . but instead of complaining about the problem . . . what is the solution?
We can't have JM back. . . Do we sack Scolari? . . . If we do. . . who do we replace him with ?. . .Do we bring back Grant? . . . . Do we change our players? . . . buy more players ? . . There has to be a solution!
