Don't get carried away man! This is the premiership and I only asked a simple question. . Is Arsenal in blue?

Villa was billed as one of the sides to break into the top 4, but their recent poor form has cooled those speculations off - we need to beat them and get a few good games under our belt.

Which of these teams is one of the big four? Is Arsenal in blue?

I agree that Scolari needs to STFU . . . he complains when his team wins 5-1 then goes on to lose to Burnley at the Bridge

Coming from someone whose manager loses at home to Hull, then goes to lose to Stoke and comes back complaining about premiership players wanting to break their legs. .

You did not read well. . . I did not say JM did not have injuries, I said he did not have the SERIOUS injuries to Terry and the two goal keepers. Like Essien is out for six months now. . JM neva had any injuries like that until his third seaon. .

It's only November and Drogba has been out for 99% of the time. . Essien, Carvalho, Joe Cole. . That's what I am saying. .

Sauron is not talking about how many points far behind you were in the league. . but that you don't need to win a majority of the points against the big four to win the league. . .
Secondly, like you pointed out being far behind, is exactly I why I say you can't win the league. . . If you drop pts against the small teams like you might do against Villa today, you can't win the league. . beating ManU will be inconsequential!!!
Leave all this gist about dashing your confidence. . . Don't make us feel you are some Hull or Reading. . a big team talking about dashed confidence because they lost to one of the big four. . . your confidence is dashed because you lose to teams like Hull and Stoke not Chelsea.

I am a big fan of Mourinho. . I actually took time out to study his tactics . . and I had his various formations and styles of play in a book I used to keep. .but how can anyone start to compare Scolari with Mourinho? They started on different levels.
No disrespect to Mourinho, he spent about £250m over two seasons. . . Scolari spent £24m . . You can say he inherited players. . but so did JM in Terry, Lampard, Gallas, Joe Cole, good Johnsen, Robben and Petr Cech that formed a major part of his success. . 

LPS has done the intelligent thing by not discarding players and sticking with a wining team. . . and to say we cannot win the premiership if we do not beat any of the big four is naive. . With the present table, if we draw against all the big teams and continue our domination over the small teams, we will win the premiership . . and why is it so easy for us all to start to conclude that we can't beat nig teams. . .
ManU have played 3 big games . . They've lost two and drawn one. . it's worse than ours. .at least at today's standings . . No one in his right mind say it is over for  ManU. . so why for Chelsea. . ? 
This is hopelessly sentimental!!

Firstly, how can you say I think Grant is better than JM? Common man!
Secondly, JM did not start having the serious injuries with Terry and both keepers until his third season and he did not win the premiership in the season. .  and when the injuries came around, we could not compete.
So LPS staying on top of the table now is a big achievement. . and why is it so difficult for us to give him a chance?

I do understand that what I pointed out doesn't tell the whole story. I just used that to state that the reason we haven't conceeded as many goals is because we are strong in midfield and is the same reason we score a lot of goals. We should ask if these teams we beat silly were not in the premiership last year. . . In case you forgot, at this same time last year . . . We had . .

Drawn with Liverpool at Home. . 1-1
Lost to ManU away . . . 0-2
Lost to Arsenal . . . 0-1
Drawn with everton . . 1-1
Lost to Aston Villa . . . 0-2

These were the supposed big teams. . then.


Meanwhile in the CL we had drawn with Rosneborg 1-1,
Had a shambolic performance against Valencia and struggled to win 2-1. ( I hope you remember this boring match) .
Drew with Schalke 0-0

We later on in the season drew 4-4 with Aston Villa, 4-4 with Spurs, 0-0 with Valencia, ah ha! I don't know if you saw the match but we almost did not beat Leicester city in the CC . . scoring 3 goals in the last few minutes to win 4-3. . managed to beat QPR 1-0


We then went on to draw 0-0 with Liverpool, lost 2-1 to Spurs and 1-1 with Portsmouth. .

And now you wonder, how the hell did we get to the finals of 3 competitions . . with all this crap!


Well the truth is, it is easy to single out poor runs and find all sorts of reasons for them. I like to take a fair view a large number of matches rather than a selected few. Guess what ? We did not have Deco and we were not playing any attractive. . and we still did not beat the big teams as at this stage last year.   
In the midst of all this we beat Hull 4-0, thumped ManCity 6-0 beat Westham 3-0, and loads of 2-0 wins against all the small teams. . .





So have we done well this season . . Absolutely. . despite all the name-calling. Do we have the potential to do a triple final again? Absolutely.!!!!!!

You are in no position to comment about yesterday's match. . because you did not watch it. . Incase you don't know. . . Malouda and Kalou lost the match. . . with beautiful chances they should have scored. . .
I hope you remember our shambolic 2-0 loss to Aston Villa and unimpressive 1-1 display with Rosenborg all in one week . .when JM was manager. . .  and not to talk of the strings of boring stuff before then. .

Way to go . . However, I cannot subject to any belief that EPL is our only shot. . . when we still have Ashley Cole, Ballack, Essien, Joe Cole, Unfit Drogba, Carvalho all to comne back from various setbacks . . Never!!! With January around the corner and up to £50m to spend on player and with a world class coach . .  Never!!! 

At the same time I still do not agree that our Midfield has become brittle. . . You cannot convince me. . Mikel was the cause of Roma's defeat . . making two silly mistakes. . . but not for Liverpool. They were lucky. . they did not break our midfield down. . Neither did ManU.
OK Roma did, but that was a one-off thing . . . Arsenal broke ManU's midfield down on saturday. . but what happened against Hull and Stoke ?
Yesterday was a loss on penalties . . . PENALTIES!!! Had nothing to do with Midfield. . Deco did not play the whole of the second half . . and we were still ahead when he went off. . WE PLAYED FOR OVER 25MINS WITH 10 MEN. . who does that. . ?


One more thing . . remember the small team hero . . yes Anelka . . If he had played yesterday . . we would beaten them silly. . . !!! Funny but true!


Our losses do not pull enough stats to conclude our midfield is brittle. . OK Mikel is not a Maka! but we do not miss him . . . There's nothing wrong! Look at the premiership, we've conceeded only 4 goals. . . while we've scored 29

Liverpool . . . scored 19 conceeded 8
Arsenal . . . . .scored 25 conceeded 13
ManU . . . . . . scored 20 conceeded 10




It's unfortunate that the losses have come in quick successions. . kind of creating a false trend. . but like one of my mates said two days ago. . . Scolari has not had the chance to train our first 11 since the beginning of the season . . . He hasn't! and hey that's true. .

I don't know know if you've looked at it but only Cech, Lampard and Anelka have played every match. . others have been injured one time or the other. . . I need to see a first 11 play over a period of time b4 any -ve trends can be considered for analysis!

What is all this noise about sef? We lost to Burnley. . shame on us! Now Arsenal fans come here saying we won't win the premiership. . . who is Arsenal. . because you have a bunch of School kids that beat Wigan 3-0. . so what?

Chelsea could not even beat a 10 man team!!!!. . Obviously you did not see the match. . Chelsea was already playing with 10men for most parts of the second half after injury forced DiSanto to go off. . . .and Burnley was red carded in only the final minutes of normal time. . 



We still top the table on the premiership . . . andy'all predicting doom b'because we lost to Burnley. . Y'all need to be on top to win it. . For now . . watch shit unfold! is all I have to say. .

Scolari's loses at home is all you could bring out from the match? . . It's always very obvious when you don't like something . . I wonder what length of an essay you would have written in defence if this happened to Mourinho!!!


Sometimes things happen . . We Chelsea fans are so used to not losing at home that when we now do, we think we are going to get relegated. . . ManU lost to Portsmouth 2-0 at home last season . . well you know how the story ended!


To want to play good football is to be left exposed to painful defeat once in a while . . . If you want to play expansive football, you have to let in goals sometimes which could lead to defeat but will ultimately win trophies and long term success. .


I've said it anyways whether we like it or not . . It's Chelsea's premiership !!!!

Actually it's 11. I don't know how I got the 16. It's only a matter of time before we get there. While I am not the biggest Anelka fan, I don't think he's that bad.

I really don't care how he scores. . . I just want to see the ball in the back of the net. . . Would I want a better player? Well if we can find one. . but for now it works and let use it till his luck run runs out!

Scolari is a new trying to find his feet in the european world of club management. . I say we give him time to gain some confidence. . . Is this not the same guy that dropped Romario - "THE ROMARIO" from the world cup winning squad in favour of younger players. He knew well then to take the yet to be known world footballer of the year KAKA to the world cup.

I think he knows just when to say goodbye to old things and welcome to the new. . Di Santo will get a chance. He should play tomorrow.

common mykali! I have seen top strikers miss that . . . his second goal showed class . . he lifted it over the keeper when other strikers would have hit it on the keeper. . That was class. . The miss was crazy though!!
